Yes.  The cards don't care how the are cooled however.  watercooling has large upfront costs.  Seems silly to pay all that cost, complexity, and time and then only cool half the cards Huh

My question is, will this system work with something like linuxcoin or bamt

MSI 890FXA-GD70
sempron 145
2gb ram
seasonic 1250
2 x 5970's under water with 480 rad
2 x 5870's on air

I'll need to use slots 1,2,4,5 which technically per the manual is what to use for four way sli. Of course i will not be using sli bridges.

I suppose I need to test this on air to start, but anyone ever tried this or see any reason why it wouldn't work?

I'll have some fans to blow through the 5870's and one blowing on them from the side of the case.
Happy to get stock 850/300 or 900/300 on the 5870's they have run(with space) at 950/160 and 950/300 no problem in the past on stock cooling and voltage.

Also, want to try this:

ASUS P8P67 WS motherboard
I3 2100 - got it cheap and will try to mine litecoin
2 gb ram
silverstone 1500 watt
2 x 6990's under water with 480 rad
2 x 6970's on air

6990's in slot 1,2
6970's in slot 3,4

Any comments, etc. appreciated. Also, will not be paying power on 6990 machine so maybe I am better off going windows? I have some copies left over that I paid for, for my business. Also have a spare 64gb ssd sitting around.

Thanks for any comments/help.
