i think he actually means an FPGA card and if so then NO well sort of NO it would depend on how good at programming you are most will mine but most will also be less that even the slowest cpus and yes i mean cpus, FPGA's are fully programmable (FP) but alot are designed for much simpler tasks than mining most are designed for nothing more than sending a connection from one connection to another

FPGA is another kind of system like an ASIC. I am assuming you mean a GPU?

If so then yes. Most any card can mine. How well they can mine is a different story.

Check out there and you will be able to see what kind of speeds you can expect.

You can also google "btc calculator" and use that along side your speed to estimate your earnings.

Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum but not bitcoins, I was wondering; until I have enough to buy an ASIC mining rig will any old FPGA card for mining? Speed aside I just want to know if its possible. Thanks
