The answer is definitely a "YES". Its going to be sooner than you can think.Expect Bitcoin to be used as payment system just like PayPal in real world payments. As I am chatting with you now, bitcoin can buy digital product in some online shops and as the world is gradually gearing towards bitcoin transactions,do not be surprised if bitcoin becomes accepted in real world purchases.

it's possible but i think with the current price of bitcoin and the transaction speed + fee on each transactions, it's not really suited on micro-transactions
other altcoin such as NANO have a great chance to reach and run the micro-transactions

Dont worry when there is the halving you can find the bitcoin price started bumping and decimal points you can use upto the 16 digits to for the transaction. So you will be see the transaction fee has been reduced in the marketplace.

Segwit implemented means again you can see the bitcoin transaction speed move up.

Bitcon is becoming more and more popular, and it is going to continue to grow. We set our beliefs in the future. BitCon will be an extremely valuable currency.

Yes very possible, but the negatives like transaction fee and delay in transaction must be tackled.

Its beyond me where the value of bitcoin comes from, 1 1/2 years ago there were more real world usages for it then nowadays, the most widely used currency at this point is monero which is used to purchase drugs and goods on the darknet but it doesnt represent in the coin value at all.

Normally monero and ethereum should share the number one place since they are the only two currencies which have a real usage scenario beyond hodling and daytrading, its a good reflection of our currenc world tho were hype is valued higher then any actual usage (can be observed across multiple industries)

you can use Bitcoin for making payments for various goods or services. You can buy some presents through gift cards, via Gyft or eGfifter. You can even pay for flights or hotels with Bitcoin through Expedia and Cheap air. Microsoft also accepts Bitcoin in its app stores, where you can download movies, games and app-based services. There are many more use cases, but these are just small purchases that are being made on small scale. I don’t think so it can be used for purchasing daily use items any time soon.

Join the ride!
Too early for that even if governments would accept it.
A long way to go. Here is a roadmap )
1. Get a faster and cheaper system than bitcoin widely accepted in internet shops and between people.
2. Decentrilized exchanges rise or security tokens become legal.
3. Stablecoin based on stakes in companies with real value and moderate growth appears.
4. At this point it makes sense for a common person to keep most of the assets in stable coins and buy goods with them, while keeping a small part of assets in volatile alts and common shares.

Bitcoin has seen its days as a payment currency for small things like it would just be weird to pay 1$ for a coffee and then 10$ for the transfer fee, so its obsolete in that way, many altcoins now are much faster and better as currency for paying things, but bitcoin is a good asset to use for larger payments though and that is great, it could be used to calculate stocks or some kinda equity or stake in something and then paid out via btc but I think that is the only use for it nowadays except for trading ofcourse, its always solid for trading as the main currency.

Japan and Canada allow bitcoin payment method. As there are many other countries living in the shadow of fear that bitcoin might overcome their economy system, they still are struggling with it. Therefore, it is going to take many years for it to be recognized and set as a payment method.

That is why I support countries like Japan because they are smart and know how to deal with things. Bitcoin is a threat, that is a fact. But they knew how to transform it into a good one

I hope so! Is there any technology that exists right now that I'm not aware of that allows for goods & services to be purchased or sold online or in person the way we use Venmo or Paypal?
There are existing services that accepts Bitcoin as payments but is limited to some items though but it is still a good start and i think it is due to some regulations that's why there are products that are not listed. Some of them accepts Bitcoin as payments for a luxury cars and houses and some accepts for a simple stuffs or any product that mostly bought in every country. All you have to do is to research what you were looking for because some of them accepts Bitcoin as payments for a cup of coffee.

Lots of payment processors but do really lacks on merchants which do accept it.We cant really fully able to compare the service of paypal into crypto thing. They wont really be easily suppressed since we do know that Paypal wont really allow to be replaced in terms of payment processing and its quite confident because most merchants do always prefer for those things who are backed by government.

Probably, there are even now many products for that, but because of fee, I don't think it is good method to make payment but spending crypto in real world is very easy.

Although this isn't much of a huge network effect today, in Paris, France there is La Maison du Bitcoin.

They offer to be a central place to conduct sales and purchases in cryptocurrencies. If they succeed in scaling, then more and more purchases can be done in the real world.

Right now ? Bitcoin sold more goods & services a few years back  on the dark-web then it is doing on the service web at the moment. If you find the right resources, you can buy whatever you want with bitcoins.VPS's servers, laptops, other digital goods which are sold for bitcoins on a much larger scale.Like I said, you need to find a trusted service.

That is the future of bitcoins, but if current network fees is charge for transactions, then it will make no wisdom to use bitcoin to purchase a $2 coffee and pay a fee of $3

As far as I know, there already places that accept crypto as means of payment for services and products.
As for mass adoption of it, currently it's a bit inconvenient for instant purchases, as fiat or bank cards can be easier still.
But i'm sure that's gonna change in some years

I think bitcoin will soon be used in real purchases soon. For now bitcoin are being converted to real currency to have a purchasing power. But as the fast facing technology we are now a day, it wont be possible if one of this days bitcoin or the crypto currency will also have a purchasing power in the online world.

I doubt if it will be used "easily" but I believe there will be some uses for bitcoin in the future. The thing here with the bitcoin is that, so many people are quite skeptical about it due to not having an "intrinsic value".

Just use Google to find your local "Payment processor" that added Bitcoin as a payment option. I was into Bitcoin for 2 years, before I found out that one of my local Payment processors, that I used often, handled Bitcoin payments. The thing is, you local Payment processors are also linked to your local Bitcoin exchanges and this makes payment much easier.

The KYC/AML stuff is also covered on both Payment processors and local Exchanges, so it makes payments hassle-free. When people use these exchanges and services, the Banks usually do not have a problem processing the deposits.

Certainly, there is alot of challenges that faces Bitcoin to become as fluid as normal payments modes such as Paypal because of PoW limits (transactions times, fees) but we clearly see some upgrades like the lightning network, segwit that will help Bitcoin become more used as a currency.

Yes, for sure. Sooner or later Bitcoin will use as payment system just like or more than enom or PayPal because there are already some peer-to-peer online marketplace(openbazaar) where people trade with physical goods, digital goods, and services and they Initially supported 44 cryptocurrencies but there there version 2.20 currently support bitcoin, bitcoin cash and zcash as payment.

Bitcoin transactions are too slow for mainstream adoption in offline retail. Transaction fees is another beast.

Bitcoin will no doubt be the backbone of the crypto ecosystem for a long time to come, but for in-store purchases, there will be other and much better solutions.

Such as our very own! Watch out for our coming ANN. You're gonna like it.

Personally I doubt whether bitcoin will be used for real world purchases soon. More likely that things might b priced in BTC but actually transacted with another altcoin that will be pegged to btc price. i see atomic swaps taking place in the backend such that on the user side doesnt matter what coin they hold. so the vendor might price in btc but the actual transaction might not be btc.

All this time, we knew that the money, credit card, ATM, etc can be used  as a currency exchange in real world purchases. Now, we know in some countries that Bitcoin could be used as a currency exchange in real world purchases. I am sure that it's will continue to grow. As soon as possible Bitcoin will be used easily in real world purchases. Maybe in the next 5 till 10 year.

Many.

There are tons of merchant processors like BTCPay, Bitpay, Coinbase, Coinpayments and many more... You could also do by yourself without any 3rd party with Bitcoin libraries that generate addresses, or just giving your Bitcoin address to the buyer, etc... Anyways, there are tons of things you can do/use to accept crypto payments. It's not hard. We just need to make merchants accept those methods of payment.
