Now with this recent beating Bitcoin has been taking since the recent weeks many holders of the coin may think the end is here for it. From over $2800 to $1870 within three weeks isn't any consolation for anyone not to panic. However, I still think Bitcoin will survive this year. As for next year, I really can't say.
i think every year there would always a moment to have a doubt on bitcoin , but people forgot how cheerful they are when see the bitcoin price skyrocketed from $600 to $3,000 in a couple of weeks only. they just care about how their value get dropped more than 30%! i would keep support bitcoin no matter what would happened later after the fork in 1st august. bitcoin are still promising and the biggest thing ever on the internet!

We'll see what happens after the Aug 1. Some say this is the end of the world, others say it will be a good improvement and bitcoin will rise as never before. I support the latter ones. I strongly believe that bitcoin will not only survive but will rise from that point.

Same there are a lot of supporters in cryptocurrency. They will not let it die or else many will get rekt. So lets just grab some wine and watch the chart on august 1

Bitcoin will not die soon, from my point of view that Bitcoin will last long time because of its running function and activities. Bitcoin has become a popular and credible currency in recent times. Japan and South Korea have already approved it as a legal money. In Asia and Europe Bitcoin is also popular transaction tool. Many online shopping center accept Bitcoin so there is no chance to die very soon...

I think it would be gone but we don't really know when,
Besides nothing is permanent in this world I think other coin would replace it ,
But I hope that it would happen in the next couple of years and not right now.

Bitcoin will not die easily, it will survive as long as it can be. Big holders dont let their investment just gone in the thin air so they will do something to prevent bitcoin from dying. Aside from the fact that bitcoin hitted $3000 and this will not be just a dream to us to happen again. There are really just some people who's spreading fuds to have panic selling and take this to buy more and more coins.

I have sent BTC yesterday but one day passed it is not confirmed, I have raised mining fee, this sucks.
Bitcoin will not die as what many think it is. The dumps and slow transactions maybe just due to the reason that bitcoin is undergoing its operational service into improvement for better services that will get along and suit consumers demands. Just be patient and wait for the effect of innovation and do not early conclude of bitcoins death.

I know whats happening in the bitcoin industry is getting really wired these ppast few days and we expect that to continue up to August 1. But I trusted bitcoin, I know that this problem will be solved after that day. Bitcoin isn't gonna die soon. They are just beginning to bloom, it will be famous in these years that goes.
I guess it is confirmed that everyone is selling their positions two weeks earlier in preparation of the August 1 effect which is still not sure what will happen. Also the problem here is internally we the Bitcoin Investors itself does not believe in the future we want Bitcoin to have resulting into a big correction. Right now 1800$ is a pretty big correction coming from a 3000$ level high.

With these kind of days, we really expect the big dump of bitcoin and we just need to wait for it to be cleared out. I think if SegWit is not implemented, I think I will be a bit dissapointed because it is a way to make bitcoin develop. It is the first steps of bitcoin for its development and for facing the future.

It might happen if the investors leave Bitcoin. Nothing can guarantee the future of bitcoin.

But it's not going to happen that investors will leave bitcoin. It's now the momentum of investors that they will be having some good returns and they will not going to regret to pull their investors. Only those greedy traders are the ones who are leaving bitcoin for a while and shifting to some profitable alt coins.
People have the right to protect their investment and if they fell the best way to do is to sell bitcoin and then buy alts with that money we must respect their decision, as a personal thought, it is my belief that there is not going to be a hard fork and that is just a tactic used by the miners to scare people, that is why I think the best idea is to hold, but that is just my opinion.

I do respect their decision but investors are mainly focusing with bitcoin. That's why there's no assumption that bitcoin is going to be dead very soon. And even the price starts to pulled under the table it is still sticking with a good floor price. I know we'll see bitcoin to be climbing up fast and people can't say it will be dead soon.

Well to me I don't see any forces that can make bitcoin to die for bitcoin has gone far beyond the level that it will die. Despite the recent decline in the market value of Bitcoin am still optimistic that the price will bounce back in no distance time. Please note! Not even the negative outcome of 1st August meeting can kill bitcoin for it has come of age.

It won't. There are lots of people who benefit from Bitcoin, especially the investors. And in fact, this is just the beginning. Problems that Bitcoin is facing is just a part of its growth. As long as there are people who gains profit from this, I can't see Bitcoin's ending.

There are a lot of people using bitcoin and they have their different reasons of using these volatile, decentralized and pseudo anonymous digital currency. So,you must not say that as long as there are people who are gaining profit because with the big dump, there is no way they earn a profit. As long as there are people uaing these digital currency, bitcoin will remain.

We know that there are many fuds out there. They want to buy cheap bitcoins that why they are doing some fuds. and also for the people who wants to ruin everything about bitcoin when they become successful yeah bitcoin can die.

It's not only the fud that people are spreading, but more the stupidity of the majority of the people here. If you look at the price back and January, which was hovering around the $1000 level, and look at what levels we are sitting at today, the market is still up big time. People however don't look at the market from that point of view. They just open a 2-7 day chart, and based on that, they think the market is about to collapse. And no, Bitcoin won't die. In order to shut Bitcoin down, you need to get rid of ALL the miners and nodes. As long as just a few of them are operating, Bitcoin will continue to operate. Smiley

I was not believe that bitcoin is die, maybe their price was continuously decreasing but I think bitcoin can handle it. Moreover, sometimes it's only a part of marketing strategies of bitcoin to sell bitcoin in the market.

I am very sad to read an article about chainsplit in August, if this happens, the bitcoin body will split in two, this is a bad thing for the bitcoin price up front.

I hope people continue to reject btu because the impact he generates is so bad.
BItcoin blockchain will not split in two if the hard fork succeeds. Do not worry about this issue because most of developers and people who have high mining hash rate accept his hard fork. Just need a little bit lucky and some praying and I bet that bitcoin can never split into two. Even if bitcoin has two blockchain, it can never be die because bitcoin has been a big part of this world already Wink

Actually, if it becomes clear relatively fast which chain will be the main chain supported by a vast majority, then I believe the price of BTC might even jump quite high very quickly (like to 4 - $5k in a day) because BTC has solved its scaling issue thus making it very attractive for more conservative investors and companies wanting to implement BTC-tech.
Let's hope for the best, only time will tell. Smiley
