According to my perception, the bull run will be there at the end of this year.Anything can't go up up up it needs to come down (that's called correction) similarly anything can't go down down down it needs to come up (reversal)!!

In 2017, we did not have the capacity to sustain the bull run longer because the existing exchanges could not handle the volume of new investors trying to enter the market.

I do understand that it was still overbought and a correction was inevitable. The market had almost no structure. Now with all the new infrastructure being put in place should eliminate most of that problem. In the meantime, market will continue to do what it has been doing.

It’s just a tough phase that cryptocurrency market is going through right now. But in the near future one can expect bitcoin’s price to rise.

Bitcoin has always repeated history. It had always come back. so hope for the best.

Whats your views?

in my opinion bitcoin will explode in 2020 fork. because in 2017 bitcoin expleded because of previous hardfor. and now i wait same.

The market will recover I agree on that part of your argument but I do not agree that we are going to see a recovery at the end of this year, have you seen that we only have about two weeks left for the market to recover? Most investors gave up already about a possible recovery of bitcoin during that time frame and they are now getting their hopes up for the next year.

Bitcoin has always repeated history. It had always come back.

bitcoin definitely has the long term trend on its side. i'm a trend trader so i'll keep betting that trend. but you should keep in mind that every trend eventually ends. bitcoin has been in a bullish cycle for almost 10 years. eventually it'll enter a long term bearish/correction cycle and we won't be seeing new ATHs every few years.

I don't think we should really dwell historically when expecting the movementd though. It only has 2 ways to go, up or down, bear and bull. It's not history repeating itself, it's the market moving either of the two ways it follows. If a decline like this can happen, pretty much it can also go the other way around.

think we are atleast 6 months away the volume is plumeting and no one even talk about bitcoin in the mainstream anymore most think its dead. so we have to wait awhile
People that think it's dead are either trolling or new to Bitcoin's volatility. Trading volume at $4billion is still high despite of the price currently at $3k few months ago the volume was lower (~$3b) than where it's at right now.

6 months might not be enough time for the price to stabilize look at the previous ATH that occured before 2017 it took more than a year before the price went up again.

Explosion or Sky-High or Boom not what we need really, we actually need more and more use of BTC as currency, any sky-rocket is actually a sign of high volatility.

2018 is the longest history, the decline in the price of bitcoin, and this is very bitter for all other bitcoin and crypto holders without exception, but we should not worry about the decline in value. Therefore we must believe in the performance of Bitcoin, that this condition is only temporary and in the future its value will surely recover.

Bitcoin has always repeated history. It had always come back. so hope for the best.

That is the real nature of the market, at any time the price can change unexpectedly. Keep hoping, patient, BUY, and HOLD is the most effective way we have to do it.

I also had the same view I am checking the website Bitcoin Obituary and Bitcoin always bounce back and with vengeance, right now the situation is quite different and if Bitcoin really bounces back and come out strong again this is going to be it's biggest rebound in ten years.

All possibilities can occur. Bitcoin is a revolution in the financial system and at the moment it is very phenomenal. Bitcoin prices have reached rates that are so high and therefore it is not impossible that the price of Bitcoin can return to the highest peak. The opportunity is still very wide open and for anyone who wants to invest in Bitcoin then this is a good opportunity.

This news will bring so much light and reason for morst of the people to regain determination in having their profit, we should be glad about this if it was a real one. Supposedly Bitcoin is releasing some news regarding what correction year is all about for us to know and not be lost at some point, people who tend to quit will be prevented.  Numbers of opportunity and workers as well was being wasted because of not being informed of what might happened.

I don't think that it will happen any time soon, and it definitely will not explode over the night with a bang. The reverse should start in the next 2 months and then we will have slow rise that will hopefully bring some satasfying price before the summer.

I agree with most of what you are saying but with one thing about the bull for this year, sad to say that I don't think there will be any at the end of this year. 2019 is an exciting year for me though I'm okay with whatever it come up, another fall or rise.

But it will be in our favor if by 2019 all of those news that we've been receiving right now will create positive impact such as Bakkt's and other launching of giants joining the crypto market by creating their exchange.

A cycle is on going, we're under it so what goes down must come up.

Waiting for the first months of 2019 may be a better choice. Because it is not easy to make a price analysis according to the current situation. In my opinion many of the non-believers have already sold and untill first months of 2019 the price will move around 3k. And IMO in the first months the volatility will increase according to the decisions coming from the BAKKT and the SEC.

I don't believe in the short term, however, Bitcoin is undoubtedly going to rise again. Its will return to the spotlight, eventually.

We have all have a big hope. But someone says it will never reach to its last ATH again. I want to believe what it will rise again. It will rise or not I am not sure but I know it won't rise in near future. It may takes more than 1 year.

Bitcoin will stay in bear market for some time. I see that there are still a lot of talks about where is bottom and when will it explode... Well it won't explode, it will stay low profile for quite some time until everything settles down. When average Joe starts to think that maybe bitcoin will never see that high prices again then you can start to expect slow growth which will go step by step.  Grin

According to my perception, the bull run will be there at the end of this year.
It's very unlikely that we see a bull run this year, bearish sentiment keeps getting stronger every day, and there's nothing in the crypto space that could trigger a new btc rally in the next couple of weeks. We'll be very lucky if we see even a sign of recovery for what's left of the year, and that's not being pessimistic, it's simply the reality of the current market. I expect a long period of accumulation until something, the launch of bakkt or something else, can attract some much needed buying pressure.

We’ll have another epic bull run in the next 3-4 years, it’s almost certain to happen. I can’t tell you when & I can’t tell you what will trigger it but it will happen.

My advice is to simply add to your hoard, whatever you can as often as you can.

Anybody selling at these kind of prices is stupid.

And when it does come back, a lot of people would probably regret, most specifically to those people who panic sold their BTC holdings, Bitcoin will soon make a huge pump, we just need some patience in our hands and everything would go accordingly, once Bitcoin is back on track, a lot of people would start to regret on not buying some Bitcoins right now.

bitcoin in 2019 will experience a bull run and this can be one of the moments that will definitely happen to see the potential of bitcoin in the future to be good. be optimistic and don't worry about the position of bitcoin.

A reversal at the end of this year is highly unlikely as most traders are away for the holidays to sustain the tempo of the market. Also, I doubt that it would happen given that the overall market sentiment is still in the reds. A reversal isn't something that happens instantly and it takes a lot of preparation from the bulls in order to not get crushed by heavy resistance along the way. As for the run in 2017, bitcoin was overbought and there's no way that people can still buy $19k a piece for 1 bitcoin. That's plainly delusional and as such, people began selling until such time that everything fell on chaos, and we're sitting where we're at right now.

No, I disagree here. While there were delays at some exchanges, that's not the reason why the bull run didn't continue. The bull run in December had already reached the point where it got ridiculous and extremely bubblish. The famous "New Paradigm" phase Wink It's only natural that many people took their profits at that point.

Bitcoin was "worth" almost the same than Apple or Google. Everybody uses Google, the Apple userbase is also much, much bigger than Bitcoin's. It was ... overvalued.

I however agree that the fundamentals now are more solid than ever. With a a more mature LN, smaller payments will be possible with Bitcoin again, so the use cases will expand, and so we can expect a rise in price - but I don't expect a real bull run too soon.
