I wish something would "overcome" PayPal. How they can get away with 6 month confirmation times, and call themselves "new Money" is beyond me.

To answer the OP - Will oranges replace sausages? They are totally different things, as are Bitcoin and PayPal.

No one knows what can happen next to the cryptocurrency world especially when it comes to bitcoin,  we never predicted that it can be 2900$ per bitcoin as it was only a few cents years earlier.

As for Paypal I don't think it can measure up to bitcoin again with the rate at which people are becoming enlighten and investing in it. Some business now accept Bitcoin for transaction to Paypal

At present, the level of the two is so different when Bitcoin is growing and many people know it as the strongest currency in the world. On the other hand, Paypal is undergoing many criticisms, blaming for customer neglect and thousands of other hassles. So, I daresay that Bitcoin has outpaced Paypal for a long time and forever
Bitcoin has no customer support whatsoever. If you make a mistake, if you are cheated buying something, zou are out of luck. And the fees are crazy.

Having no customer support is one of the pecks of decentralisation. If you're in crypto, It means you've agreed that you're in charge of your money and you should take responsibility for any carelessness that led to loss of funds. However, I do agree with you on the fees. If there's anything that might make people leave crypto, It's the ever increasing fees.
No, the transaction fees is only the problem of Bitcoin. Ethereum or other altcoins do not have this problem. Ripple is the cryptocurrency has cheapest fees and fastest confirmation time in cryptocurrency world. Not like Bitcoin, you need to spend few hours to get 6 confirmations for your transaction.

Actually we can use paypal for Bitcoin payment method can use for our transaction. Bitcoin is a first digital currency in the world . bitcoin a digital decentralized payment system working without any central repository or single administrator. While paypal is an online payment system .Bitcoin has lower fees than Paypal. Actually, Paypal is not available in every country but Bitcoin is border-agnostic like the Internet.

Yes, there's a chance that it will happen in the future but not too soon since there are still a lot of work to do in order for us to ensure that money are safe with BTC and with the reputation and users of Paypal it is hard for them to change in bitcoin especially for those people who doesn't believe in crypto. My question now is "Can we just integrate BTC to paypal? Or Can someone just create a paypal like website wherein we can use BTC and other altcoins?"

Bad formulation, bitcoin isn’t the right cryptocurrency for buy and sell goods. There is a lot of crypto currency that are way better than PayPal but they can’t afford the numbers of paypal, we will see.

My vote is yes..Bitcoin is very easy to use and also its value is great and anytime if you want to convert with your own fiat currency you can  it takes only a minutes or hrs if delay  but in paypal i think it takes some time to withdraw esp. Huge amount.Bitcoin for me is great to use as a  digital money. You can it also at many stores that will accept btc as payment.

Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years?

We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal.

Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired.  Grin

I don't think so. People don't usually spend their bitcoins on something physical items. You remember what happened to the pizza guy right? He paid in BTC 10,000 for a few boxxes of pizza. That's what I think people taught about now. Digital money can never replace real money.

most people arent coming into crypto for buying stuff anyway. People even discourage it. Dont buy a lambo, it might be worth three lambos in two weeks.

I think Bitcoin prices are becoming more expensive because of its limited quantity, no additional supply. In addition to increasing the human need for Bitcoin, what attracts them to it is the advantages it offers such as anonymity, decentralization, global trading, use internet, ... Finally, because its price is unstable, continuous rise and fall so many people are interested in the difference between each increase or decrease.

Of course bitcoin will eclipse paypal, paypal is not even close, we are talking about a currency here not some overrated payment system, bitcoin has the potential to replace some of the most powerful currencies that have ever existed, paypal is nothing compared to bitcoin.

Bitcoin's popularity has grown significantly in recent years. yes .. of course it will then trigger a comparison to the online payment system that has been a "king" of his e-payment, namely PayPal.
As a system that equally facilitates online transactions, PayPal and Bitcoin have similarities, but also some differences. But if compared more closely, of course Bitcoin superior in comparison paypal.
for example, bitcoin fee is lower / cheaper on paypal appeal.

I think not an impossible, that bitcoin will overcome paypal in the future.

Nope. Bitcoin and PayPal serve a different purpose as of today. Bitcoin is more like a "Store of Value", whereas PayPal is used mostly by people to buy cheap items ($1-$1000). Bitcoin fees for one transaction is too high for it to replace PayPal. Some other coin definitely will replace Bitcoin for daily transactions. It can be a coin either from PayPal itself or some other coin.

One is a plane, the other one is a ship. They're totally different things, paypal is a centralized payment company only. Bitcoin is a decentralized and free community structure. Bitcoin won't overcome paypal since this is not its duty.
