it can happen in the near future, Becaus blockchain technology is far better than paypal for me, But there can be a lot things first to happen. I Do believe that blockchain will be the next best thing happen for mankind next to internet
I think that this will ultimately depend on the merchants if they opt for crypto payment platforms instead of Fiat. As far as I can see, one main reason why merchants would opt for an alternative method is lower fees.. One such payment gateway with significantly lower fees is paybear.io.. Currently, a lot of merchants have partnered with them.
I don't think it will overcome Paypal, but I hope that they'll begin to cooperate, because Paypal is the most known payment service online. It should be nice if they'll allow us to open a small wallet and migrate some coins there, maybe multiple wallets with multiple coins

Well looks like we are using already paypal if we take into considerationt he high fees we are being forced to pay to let our transactions get confirmed, something paypal doesnt require. I think the current goal is for overtaking visa and debit cards. Paypal isn't much big of a target and Paypal is just online while we are targeting retails too. Although we have a long way to go I would say with lightning network implemented we will be able to scale big.

I do belive that will be a huge yes, Paypal are having the way too much limits on users which is not welcomed at all. But with Bitcoin, people are free to do whatever they like but just make sure that you protect your money well from the hackers.
I think not necessarily bitcoin, but crypto, will be our new financial system and so yes, it will also replace paypal. More importantly though, it will replace banks and major financial institutions.
