You have to consider the fact that the majority (70%?) of the mining takes place in China.   If China's power grid is affected, then mining will be affected.   If the speed of transaction verification takes, say, a 10% hit, people might quickly abandon BTC for a similar faster currency, causing the price to tank.

Not everyone believes that the Chinese mining monopoly is a problem.

We already know that bitcoin price has considerably grown immediately after it got legalized in japan. In short, japan just shut down the mouths of bitcoin criticizers all over the world.Japan legalizing bitcoin was definitely a turning point in the history of bitcoin.

And now,the biggest dominance power in bitcoin, china is no more in the game. Now,immediately the power house has been shifted to japan. In such a situation,if north korea wages war on japan, immediately, there would be a negative impact on the price of bitcoin. But it would last only temporarily, since bitcoin has got users universally.Very soon, the price would recover and so a crash could not be expected.

Let me just also clarify that I do not wish for a war and hope the value goes up in a peaceful environment.

Well it depends if the war will only be between them then Bitcoin will not be that affected, same goes with other currencies only countries under the war is being affected. since bitcoin is used by other countries too it will just be a slight effect on it/.

Large scale impact will be felt over the price of bitcoin. Because both the countries at present contributing big to the digital currency market. War will surely cause a economic collapse or a downtrend, based on which the circulation gets affected and this causes the decrease in the value of bitcoin.

Despite the looming war between Japan and North Korea, I don't think that bitcoin price will be affected negatively. On the other hand, I think it will soar because the Japanese will just go buy bitcoin to hedge their funds against the imminent war. However, this war will severely impact the world economy because its gonna be costly for both sides. Just my .2 BTC.
Of course it will affect to the price of bitcoin, since Japanese country is one of the most trading country. I know that when war started on North Korea and Japan economy of both country was falling down, so the tendency is to fall down too the exchange of bitcoin in both country. Moreover the digital currency will affected so much due to war happen if necessary. Hoping that war on this country was not happen because I'm sure that it gives large effect to the systematically circulation of bitcoin in the whole world.

There is one thing for sure my friend the price will be increase drastically. as you see the financial problems and demolishing currency value will affect the country currency from the war most of the people would not wont that and will invest their money into bitcoin.
so as soon as BTC is bought my more and more people the price will increase.

The only war that can happen is North K vs South K. The latter helped by its allies. There is no way NK can do anything to Japan except lobbing some missiles at them, then being obliterated in return.

If that happened, I expect BTC to skyrocket (even more than it already is).

Yes I think the value of bitcoin will be affected if the war happens in fact every economy will surely be affected by this because the transactions between different countries and these two concerned country will be somehow paralyze and may cause for the demand to decrease, if the market decreases surely the value appreciation will go down.

If the war happens between any developed or developing country there would be impact on overall economy of the world. Depending upon the intensity of the war and country the impact could be big. It will also have impact on cypto currencies as they cannot be left alone during those crisis time.

I have seen quite same thread about bitcoin crash due to war between North Korea and USA.
Yes obviously a war will effect bitcoin value negatively but it doesn't mean that it will be crashed if war happens because bitcoin is a decentralized currency having users all over the world not bounded to a specific country, that's why bitcoin will survive even in these worst scenarios.
Firstly, war can apparently cause the value of anything to drop but in the case of bitcoin, we might not really say yet since it is a new adoption and we cant be sure the effect it will have.
Secondly, you guys should just stop this whole North Korea nuking bullshit cause it will not happen except NK is just trying to dig her own grave by herself and that would be pretty bad, So in that case, I even see the value of bitcoin stepping up.

Definitely,it will have an immediate impact on the price of bitcoin since japan after legalizing bitcoin has become the country which has the largest number of BTC trades carried out. Also,we could not forget that bitcoin price grew high immediately after bitcoin legalization there since thousands of retailers are accepting bitcoin payments there. If such a war occurs, definitely all those things would get totally collapsed. There would be a fall in bitcoin demand. As a result of it,bitcoin price would also definitely fall a little.

In my opinion, I think the war between Democratic People's Republic of Korea and United States can not make the price of Bitcoin decrease if it happens. Because I have checked while the tension between the two countries increase more, the price of Bitcoin had increased 10-20% percent because the people in Korea bought many much.

I also do not think that bitcoin will crash if North Koria goes war with Japan, We can see that even after banning bitcoin in China, bitcoin again got its previous value

China 'ban' isn't a good way to compare those situations, especially when you consider that it was obvious that China's 'ban' was nothing more than an attempt to buy time in order to prepare for whatever strict regulations the exchanges there will be facing. Aside from that, I strongly believe that Bitcoin will boom further in case the situation with North Korea develops itself into a disaster, which eventually may lead to a war. The regular economy will sink deep into the ground, where people are looking for safe haven assets, and Bitcoin fits perfectly in that category. Compared to Gold it's easy to obtain, doesn't require you to hold physical bulk, etc. I see only benefits here.

I doubt that bitcoin will crash if nokor goes war with japan, it is just an isolated case, and we can say that bitcoin will grow, since a lot of countries will still continue with their lives, hoarding may also happen in japan, if that will be the case, then the price of bitcoin will just go up, there  might also be horading of bitcoins in the region, since there is a threat, and bitcoin can be used anywhere, since you can exchange bitcoins to fiat, people affected by the war then, would just start a new life in other countries, and wait till the war ends.
I also do not think that bitcoin will crash if North Koria goes war with Japan, We can see that even after banning bitcoin in China, bitcoin again got its previous value and hopefully its price will continue increasing, similarly even if there is war between Japan and Koria, it will even not effect Bitcoin so much. because bitcoin is a decentralize currency and is already present through out the world with same value and even the users of bitcoin are continuously increasing which is also making bitcoin more stronger and reliable.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
I think that the opposite will happen. If North Korea goes to war against South Korea and Japan, then the value of Japanese Yen and South Korean Won will crash. So the people in these nations will rush to protect their wealth, by purchasing assets such as gold and Bitcoin.
Come on, you're imagining things.
North Korea is not a military power, they have no advanced technology and no means to do harm to a group of allies like Japan, South Korea and USA. I'm talking about these three like one country, because if NK attacks they will all retaliate as one. It will end up much faster than it did in Iraq.
A war between North Korea and the world would end in a month or less. They'd get bombed so much that the area would become uninhabitable.

During such circumstances, I think Bitcoin won't be a center issue. But usually in such negative circumstances people tend to avoid banks and thus they might keep their money in Bitcoin only. But this is hard to predict as nothing of that sort has happened before since the inception of Bitcoin. Nobody can certainly say anything about the market. But at the end, there won't be any war.

To be honest man, i really don’t think this thing your saying would really happen. Both sides would have to think not just twice but a lot of times before getting themselves in a war. This ain’t like the WWll times. Every country now has weapons of mass destructions. And if they go to war, things will easily escalate to a world war which may definitely become the world’s demise.

But okay, just to humor your question., iassuming this really happens, the price would not go down that fast. Instead, it will increase and reach new heights. Because it is just expected for people to secure their money. Which can then lead to a lot of bitcoin users. The thing is, the ability to access internet may be lost in lots of countries Which may lead to less users wanting to be part of bitcoin. Let alone hold them. But the strongest hearts will prevail. If they’re still breathing tho. And panick sellers will despair..

But I hope it will not start a war so everything will be fine and price of bitcoin will become stable.
True. Let's hope there is no war and that BTC value continues to go up. However US and NorKor are bickering like mad dogs everyday in the news. Don't know what to make of it.

Will you still think about that when the world is at terror? I doubt you will. We will be thinking if our country will be the next target and live everyday just thinking about that.
But if ever it wont take long yes it will affect the bitcoin value since Japan is one who supported it in a large leap into making it their optional payment.

There might be a war urge, but the same won't create an war between the countries. Both are highly competitive in the technology industry, so if that happens surely a major impact will be felt over bitcoin and entire digital currency. Now America too announced it as an entry restricted zone for some reason.

But even if it's happen , it will affect on bitcoin value if Japanese really stop their bitcoin transaction for a moment
As far as I read, Japanese still have no intention for war instead US and North korea getting hot every time I read the news paper.
Unexpectedly, wall street also got affect because of this drama.

If such a war occurs, then a slight decline may be seen in bitcoin price since japan has contributed more for the growth of bitcoin price by legalizing bitcoin. We earlier noticed that there was a huge increase in demand or bitcoins immediately after legalization. But such decline may get recovered very soon since there is a huge buy wall for bitcoins all over the world.

It is right that bitcoin is so much strong currency. I don’t see any clash between North Korea and Japan but if we suppose the war started between these two, so I think bitcoin will not suffer from this war because it is not depended on Japan government although Japan recognized bitcoin a legal currency in Japan but it does not mean that Japan has got control on bitcoin. Bitcoin is still decentralized and independent cryptocurrency.

We really don't know what will happen to BTC's price if there will be any real war happening between N. Korea and Japan. But if I'm gonna put my opinion out there, the effect of it will be the opposite. Meaning the price of BTC will be flying high as people will tend to put their money to BTC to preserve its value. We all know that the value of money of a country in a war tend to crash down. The solution that they will see is to put it in BTC and thus, this will push the price higher. I'm in no position to say that my opinion is an accurate one but anything can happen especially when it concerns BTC  Grin.

then the tension between these countries has increased, then this is unambiguous. And today we can not predict what will happen in the future, even looking at what is happening in China today and how the government starts to aggravate the work with the crypto currency. If China and Japan have problems with this business, So we will only hope that Bitcoin will be strengthened in other countries.

but i am not expecting that bitcoin will crash, because people will surely give strong support to bitcoin and therefore bitcoin will not crash at any stage, we can see that people are now beome more mature and they do not care for such news, on other side bitcoin users are present in all over the and not only from japan, therefore they will surely give strong support to bitcoin .

NoKor doesn't have any significant impact on economics anywhere in the world, but Japan does. Fortunately, NoKor will never attack any other country first due to the fact that there's only China backing them up once this shit goes to reality. Also, this is just another Cold War—in my opinion—to show other countries who has the biggest dick of them all. On the other hand, Japan continues on supporting bitcoin all the way, and it's not as if Japan holds all of the trading volume of bitcoin. It might be some small change but not that drastic.

But again, who knows? It's very unlikely that a third war might broke. It's just some egotistic leaders wanting to show off their dicks.

I would like to say that we should not abuse here because if we are abusing here then we are rushing forum here so i would like to say that stay away from abuses here because it is not that much good as you expecting so i would like to say that we should positive things here not a negative here. Bitcoin :open immutable decentralized global fair
So during the weekend NorKor tests another H-Bomb. Things are heating up this side. Japan and SoKor all feelin uneasy. USA is barking but nothing beyond it right now.

Bitcoin has weakened a bit over the weekend. That is a totally alternate reason I guess.

Sanjeev... wait until other traditional markets are open to really compare other financial assets.

You want to know the truth of what's been happening with Bitcoin prices during times of fear and NK news? Just scroll to chart below.

If war takes hold the waves of credit start to recede from traditional financial assets, but there is a CROSS-BORDER, UNFREEAZABLE asset of Bitcoin which is experiencing an INCREASING amount of net investment INTO bitcoin EVEN AT recent "HIGH" PRICES.

One of the drivers is that only some private investment funds, hedge funds, private partnerships, endowment funds are BEGINNING to dip tiny allocations into this new uncorrelated financial asset.

This year and next they will play catch up until Bitcoin (in some year long-time from now) normalizes to size of an invested financial asset with a market cap above $300B (current market cap at time of this writing is less than $80B).

Evidence of said recent phenomenon:

If the market were to collapse (modern-day markets pegging S&P 500 US Stocks index as a worldwide primer) - where will the flight to safety be?

Quantfunds (Quantitative investment funds that rely on mathematical models for investments) are infamous at crunching through vast arrays of data across all asset types to use combine investments of less-correlated assets together to acheive great investment returns while still being defensive during down markets.

What will hedge fund / quant-fund data show?

Since mid-June here were the performance of asset-classes when S&P 500 was down more than -0.2% in a day.

There were only 10 days since mid-June where daily drop of S&P exceeded -0.2%. The above compares how Bitcoin, Gold, Long Term US Treasury Bonds, US Commercial Real Estate (REIT), and Bullish US Dollar Index did on those same days.

The assets are represented by most established, regulated, liquid ETFs:
Gold  ticker: IAU - iShares Gold Trust
Long Term US Treasury Bonds ticker - TLH - iShares 10-20 Year Treasury Bond
US Commercial Real Estate ticker - VNQ - Vanguard Real-Estate-Investment-Trusts ETF
Bullish USD index ticker - UUP - PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish

Where will the flight to safety be in terms of assets/investments?

There are already 3 large institutional investment vehicles for private investments, hedge funds, and quant-funds to get bitcoin exposure:
-XBT provider's bitcoin swedish nasdaq etf (priced in SEK currency) : bitcoinxb / bloomberg ticker: coinxbt [not real btc]
-Grayscale's bitcoin Over-the-counter markets fund : GBTC  [not real btc]
-Gemini's exchange's daily auctions of bitcoin buyers and sellers [real btc?]

This is outside of the many popular exchanges that exist for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies including p2p exchange localbitcoins. [real BTC]

Does it seem to be that private investors see an easy flight to safety into bitcoin for its investment portfolios?

These past 24 hours served as yet another example; global newslines ringing alarms of N.Korea missles flying past Japan as well as continued floods in Texas and Mumbai India - amidst all the trouble, alot of money had flowed into "safety" of Bitcoin to push it to new highs.

It seems this pattern has already been established - and funds will continue to flow into bitcoin when other financial assets falter?

Any comments? On Global assets and fiat?

Bitcoin will crash when Alliens attacks us and turn off internet.

Why would BTC care of any war on Earth? It will only gain traction since will be a way to trade with people on other side of a front line.
You can't say that for certain that value would remain the same, go up or come down. It depends on who all participate in the war and what each of them lose. If USA joins and gets a big impact it will have negative impact on Bitcoin.

Impossible to predict.
Yeah, it is also impossible to predict if North Korea will go to war with Japan. But if we consider BTC as any other economy then war will have adverse affect on it, and as Japan being one of the leading BTC user, if their economy is trashed then BTC's price can suffer a dump.

If a war broke out between Japan and North Korea. I don't think North Korea would stay in war for longer. Japan is strong enough to protect itself and also in such circumstances America would be supporting Japan. There is no chance North Korea could survive the war. Thus, there wouldn't be any major effect on bitcoin. There would be a drop but wouldn't be drastic. moreover, such things have never happened before. So, giving the exact idea is near to impossible.
when there is war then anything can happen. I think everyone will be frightened and panicked. in the end they will sell some of their property and try to buy something more valuable and can also be safely stored at home. bitcoin may be strongly affected, for example in the past when dollar prices declined and some of the world's currencies were destroyed during World War 1 and 2. so I think when there is a third world war will surely greatly affect the state of the economy in the world.

Why do you think that in case of war, all rush to sell their bitcoins. During the war, there can be problems with the Internet but that does not mean that Fiat money will have value. During the war, money is useless. A piece of bread can have more price than a piece of gold.

The problem is we don't know is the price will be increase or decrease, not only bitcoin but other currencies will affected by that.
The fact that the price will not increase that's for sure. War can have a positive impact on any currency. Capital can move to where the backwater. Japan's economy will weaken. But bitcoin may not suffer as a result of war within the region. I think everything will remain as it is.

Hey guys. With North Korea sending one of their bombs flying over the island of Japan it made me realize what happens to the value of Bitcoin if a war breaks out.

If North Korea attacks Japan will it send the value of Bitcoin crashing down or will the opposite happen?

Let me just also clarify that I do not wish for a war and hope the value goes up in a peaceful environment.

Bitcoin will crash when Alliens attacks us and turn off internet.

Why would BTC care of any war on Earth? It will only gain traction since will be a way to trade with people on other side of a front line.

It's hard to predict, but some of asia stock price decrease because of that. If war really happened between North Korea and Japan, i'm sure it will affect the price of bitcoin. The problem is we don't know is the price will be increase or decrease, not only bitcoin but other currencies will affected by that.

Modern war will not last for long. If Kim decides to attack Japan in a few days, North Korea in ruins. This may affect the price of bitcoin, but not for long. To take a fall like we used to. Nothing can stop bitcoin.

Bitcoin's supply and demand does not depend on whether a country is at war at another. Of course you could argue that people will start using bitcoin because it's a global currency, when the economy of the countries at war completely collapse, but i doubt it's going to impact the price that much anyways.

Vice versa, why would anyone want to dump their coins just because a country's at war with another one? They are much better off just holding it...

I think demand for bitcoin will soar in the affected regions, and will affect bitcoin's price worldwide.

For example, say you are a South Korean, and you are worried about the war. You buy some bitcoin as a hedge - that way, if there is a war and the Korean Won tanks along with the economy, you and your family are still good, you've got bitcoin which has held it's value (or increased), which you can then change into lots more Won to live.

I don't like war also i know on one like war. I have always hope for better time. But as i understand then i think North Korea also don't like to war with Japan. But it is matter of 2 countries between them about bitcoin prediction, in this time is not possible. Because now not war is coming and bitcoin is also going to up.

This is not a pretty topic to begin with but as I want my opinion to be heard.. If (in gods name) that happened bitcoin will soar high more than ever and increased furiously.. Why?? If all bitcoin users be dead at that day all there stocked bitcoin will be locked with them forever so the supply will lowered so the price will increase.. It makes me shakes while answering to this creepy question..

Firstly, this is purely talk right now. Nothing has been done so far, and i would say that there will be no bombs dropped on Japanese soil at least for now.

Secondly, this is probably irrelevant to the bitcoin world. Bitcoin's supply and demand does not depend on whether a country is at war at another. Of course you could argue that people will start using bitcoin because it's a global currency, when the economy of the countries at war completely collapse, but i doubt it's going to impact the price that much anyways.

Who knows.  As things stand now though I think the level of public awareness, especially among the wealthy means chaos and panic probably has more upside for bitcoin than downside
Chances may happen since many Japenese people now where into btc. Ot might affect their activities and btc and may not be able to access internet. Let's hope for war not to happen.

The recent war of words between North Korea and the USA actually was one of the many reasons why Bitcoin got some surge on that week when the exchange of verbal threats occurred. In other words, when there can be a major war or a conflict there is a tendency that many people would park their assets or money into Bitcoin.

However, since your scenario involves North Korea and Japan, there can be some chilling effect on Bitcoin all because we know that Japan is now a big leader for Bitcoin. The demand in Japan for Bitcoin is one of the many factors why Bitcoin continues to enjoy a good value (and it is rising right now) and once this demand can be gone or lessened then there is a possibility that the market can be reacting negatively.

To summarized, we can only know for sure when the whole thing has already happened as Bitcoin has become one of the most unpredictable animals there is.

such a war would escalate pretty fast. With china, russia, south korea and japan, such a conflict could lead to a world war pretty fast. I think such events have the same effect on the bitcoin price as on gold. it's value would increase.

but it will also have some unpredictable effects. Will there be enough electrical and hash power to keep the blockchain alive? how difficult would it be to buy something with bitcoin and would it be possible to exchange bitcoin for fiat?

I seriously doubt China and Russia would go to war with USA over North Korea. But it would cause a serious damage to the region, so North Korea will probably not get attacked unless they attack first. In event of real WW3 Bitcoin may go down, since people would be scared to hold something that may become useless in case of nuclear war, but a regional conflict might only boost Bitcoin, since it serves as a hedge against fiat currency and its economy.
I think I have to agree with your point. A full scale war would impact Bitcoin's value since people would panic and start picking up physical goods for sometime.

IMO, its safer if they put their wealth incase they both go to war cause btc is pegged in usd. If its world war maybe btc will crash cause certainly the internet would be cut off.
Any transgression from NorKor will invite USA. USA has been looking for an opportunity to shut them up. That IMO will bring the value down. How much I don't know yet.

War is not what we want. Everyone wants to live in peace and happiness. Of course if there is a war then the economic conditions in the world will be destroyed because investors are afraid to save money, they would prefer to save his property in the form of gold and diamonds. That also happens to bitcoin, the financial system will surely fall and also uncontrollable. This is a nightmare, war is a nightmare for all aspects of life. Only a fool would want a war to happen.

I expect there are a few people who are shorting the South Korean won, who would definitely want war to break out. If North Korea makes an outright hostile move against another nation, it will likely be met by disabling strikes from the military of all the nearby nations. Kim Jong Un, in a last-ditch effort to retain power in North Korea even if nowhere else, would respond by doing his best to flatten Seoul. He'd probably manage to destroy a decent portion of the city, which would have disastrous effects on the won - it's already wavered a bit lately with all the tension.

That being said, I also think it's unlikely. Kim Jong Un is no madman, and he'd have to be to actually launch an attack first. Trump is also no madman, despite appearances, and he knows he's close to being impeached already. If he loses the support of the rest of the country by starting WW3 with a pre-emptive strike on North Korea, even after every world government has announced that they will not support the US in that situation, he'd be gone as near instantly as things can ever happen with big government; probably a week or two at most. He's already got a pretty substantial case built against him for obstruction of justice, which will only be averted by the fact that Republicans control the entire government and can ignore anything they find inconvenient - and don't get me wrong, Democrats can, and do, ignore everything they find inconvenient most of the time as well. I'm a moderate myself, and simply expressing frustration with the fact that our government is a loud, partisan nightmare that can't legislate its way out of a paper bag.

Not just with bitcoin but that is the start of economic fall. Once Nokor do some shit actions against Japan, it's not just between the two countries and eventually other countries will involved too. There is no economic rise during an ongoing global war so bitcoin is included to that.

But in reality, NoKor is just full of talks. As if they are the only who are having a big weapon without realizing that Allied countries also have one.

Than why fire them over Japan if they are to protect themselves. Could fire them into the ocean and not over a neighboring country.

Hello there! I haven't seen an open war in my whole life but I think Bitcoins will suffer. The war won't just remain between two countries.

It would break out between different countries. Destruction on such a large scale would just cause chaos all over the world and the value will actually rise because the demand of BTCs will definitely increase. But the other point is would the governments then accept BTCs?

Bro actually North Korea tested a nuclear launcher to Pacific I hope so and it cross over the Japan and tested in ocean. Henceforth they have given earning to the north Korean government that was issue ran about. So it will never explode in any form. So don't care about the do earning bitcoin without any worry this issue at all.

I don't think it will affect the price of bitcoin too much. Unless the war ensues for a long time and it would affect the whole world, probably it will likely just affect it slightly. Also if it does happen, I don't think Japanese exchange will stop functioning but there would be probably mass fear and people withdrawing their coins. Since Japan does not constitute majority of all traded bitcoins then I don't think it would affect it too much.
That's a valid point. If Japs had more coins then it would create a huge impact.

It certainly does if they start dropping bombs on Seoul. Markets don't like uncertainty, let alone millions of mangled Koreans. With Donny in charge let's hope his generals drop a chandelier on his head before he starts feeling slighted.

Statistically speaking, if location wise perhaps this is a minimal case on that since North Koreans don't have a strong economic system. They are known t have a less fortunate part of Korea with their President who abuses their rights most of the time. That's only a probable cause and thinking about the brighter side of bitcoin now means so much satisfying for it booms farther more than the war that will happen in Japan versus North Korea. However, Japan has a nice administration so definitely, it would be hard for North Koreans to attack Japan in that sense of stupidity. Crashing down case is highly not sufficient in that state because of war, bitcoin will still sojourn whatever incidents may occur in a certain location because it's not bitcoin's loss it's both countries that wants war.

I really hope that a war does not break, but think that when a war happens, the things that tend to go up in price are the real goods: food, clothing, shelter... we go back to reality when war breaks, are more aware that "money" is not worth much really, but only represents value of physical goods, so they go up in price.

Personally I don't really think North Korea would go on a war with Japan.

But if it does happen it might trigger a world war which usually results in a crash in world economy which can have unpredictable effects on bitcoin, since people can look at bitcoin as a way to preserve their wealth or everyone cashes out for physical resources, which would result in a crash. Lets just hope it doesn't come to this  Tongue

I don't think that if war happens between these two counties will occur, maybe crash will not immediately be happening and it might just result to sudden drop of bitcoin price fluctuation. But after the war I am pretty sure price and the economy of both fiat and digital currency will rise again and will initiate higher progress of bitcoin demand in the marketplace. Well normally since from the last world war that situations of economy really goes down if a war begun to happen and then rises when everything turns out normal and trading worldwide became stable again.

Why would Bitcoin crash? if anything it would pump, because ultimately it is a neutral asset, and it is perfect to put your wealth in it and run to a safe place, no other asset allows yo to do this.

It's a lovely thought but anyone betting on that is likely to get their arse handed to them. Most of the market is made up degenerate gamblers and terrified children. If it came to a genuine crunch most people would run screaming. Give it a couple more decades and then it might be a real possibility.
That's exactly what I am trying to convey. Since Bitcoin is still in its nascent stage people will panic faster than physical cash. Plus Japan has been one of the biggest innovators for Bitcoin usage and them slowing down could drive the value down.

But alas this is again speculation.

War might cause a catastrophic impact over the growth of bitcoin. Also both countries were technology wise developed, and highly a supportive for bitcoin as well digital currencies. So these countries getting into war will always generate a negative impact, and I don't think there is an urge on war.

To the contrary... Japan and South Korea have shown to be strong markets capable of moving crypto prices (look at Bitcoin Cash's pump which was lead by these markets, and again look at Monero's latest big pump also lead by bithumb exchange which is a Japanese or South Korean one (not sure to be honest)

The currencies of these countries will suffer a lot of instability, so it would make sense if they bought Bitcoin to preserve their wealth. But the impact on the price would not be as great, since the rest of Asia would continue to buy and sell Bitcoin normally.
Wouldn't other countries also start to sell if they see the prices dropping?
