In Cryptocoins I Trust

I have been pretty tough on Dogecoin in the past. I was pretty skeptical a Cryptocurrency could survive on just a meme and community. I have been impressed lately with their determination though. They realize they have an issue with security and are trying to fix that. I think making it merge mined with Scrypt coins was the wrong solution for that though for economic reasons. I would of preferred them moving to a PoS model. On top of that though they are innovating on top of the Dogecoin chain with Dogeparty. There could be some interesting projects that pop up from that.

Peercoin and Namecoin are a couple other examples of old coins that are building new features on top of their original innovations. I think it is important that cryptocurrencies continue to build on top of themselves to stay relevant in this speculators market that is alt coin investing. Most people that deem new and/or improved features as unneeded gimmicks don't understand that cryptocurrencies, especially alt coins, are a speculators market. You need to give people more of a reason to speculate on your Cryptocurrency in this competitive market with so many new cryptocurrencies that are innovating in a lot of different areas. I think the most innovative cryptocurrencies will rise above the more lethargic ones in terms of development.

In my opinion Dogecoin is about to die.
Doge has no further features and is a simple gen 1 coin.

Nothing against Doge - I like the image of Doge but this is nothing I will hold in future.

Doge won't go up before it can get itself something new(such as new features, new developers, innovations)

Yes, there is so many coins that want to take doge spot. Impossible to hold it, for long. It will fall out of top10 at end of this year.

It depends on multiple factors. The sure thing is that no one knows that.

I thought doge was dead already, but it bounced back a little.

Doge will die slowly Grin

I think, it will survive 2014, and will gain in strength little by little.

I don't think so,Doge have big pressures for inovation. But anything is possible.Just see.

'Innovation' is not a goal by itself. Real innovation can easily spread to others coins; Wee need a good support from the community; And trust from miners and investors. These are the key points to get value on a long term perspective. Services will follow... Doge has followed that direction since the beginning. 2014 is a bad year; a lot of people think now that alternate=scam. We must prove that Doge is not on that path.

Yes when the 16 year-olds who bought doge with the $10 they made from summer jobs will continue to buy doge when they start school and don't work.
