Wow.....DOGE is at a new low. It might never recover again, how unfortunate.  Cry
It's at what, 24 satoshi?  That's not a new low.  In fact I think it's at exactly where it was when I started noticing doge back in 2015 or so.

It really is too bad, because as I think I mentioned I do like doge and it does have advantages over bitcoin.  Think about how much 1 doge is in terms of fiat, and think about sending money using 1 doge as a fee--it's super cheap.

Not going to clog up the thread any more than I have, but don't you guys think it might be a good time to buy now that doge is selling for 24 sat?  You know, buy LOW sell HIGH.  It looks pretty damn low to me.

yeah  doge is very down right now
but im thinking to buy some i like to consider it knowing it has a big community supporting it
anyways its been here for a long time

DOGE trade volume is also higher than many other coins, I hope I can see the remaining of my DOGE for a profitable price.

Hey everyone, I'm sure you have heard of Dogecoin. Recently, it' price has been dropping dramatically due to scams. Does anyone think it'll ever recover?

I'm not sure about doge, I'm not sure this coin will be recovered, big investors may not choose coins like doge, they will definitely choose ETH / LTC / XMR / DASH / BTC

Yeah, you are right. DOGE isn't a coin made for profit, it's just a meme. Big investors will definitely go for the other coins.

Doge an altcoin that bitcoin holders often use in small amount to reduce fee transaction as they are today. Doge surely be recovered, although it takes long time. But we all know, that's what doge's characteristic. Quiet very long and wake up with explode.

Yeah, that makes sense. Somewhat like Ripple, used to reduce transaction fees.

dogecoin was born from a joke. a meme, i remeber mining in december 2013 with nostalgia. there was a big community, the effort produced a big initial spike but now, unfortunately, i can see only a bit of speculation going on...

Basically a cryptocurrency is an investment for our life in the future. Because basically everything has a different scope, so a profit also has a different time. From what I see in some of the data contained in dogecoin, it is just an event that does not have a strong enough effect to lower the dogecoin. Because the dogecoin will still survive and certainly later dogecoin will recover and will certainly be much higher than before. Just waiting for time will definitely work

Not sure what everyone's hangup on Dogecoin is -- It never had potential. It was never supposed to have potential. Yet people continue to talk about it -- every day. Worse yet, people actually say they have "invested" in it.

You'd be better off investing in a case of Whoopie Cushions.  Roll Eyes

NO..Big NO, why ? because from the first doge created it is just a fun coin, and no development increasment while another alt coin is pop up and created with many good feature and clear road  map, maybe doge will recover if the community doing HF and change their road map and vision, now crypto world become a serious investment instrument.

It's doge buying time now. The doubters feed us because we can't have everyone buying in now because we want to. Then later it will be too late for them and we shall profit.

I like doge but I hate the 5% infinite interest every year
5% infinite interest would be nice.   I think you meant inflation.   The coindesk article lists all the problems with people associated with doge, not problems with the coin itself.  Bitcoin has had scams and all that and it's doing just fine.   People just don't like doge and no, I don't think it'll recover.
This!  Lips sealed
the 5% inflation is one of a few reasons that affects doge price
If I remember correctly, there was a period where the supply was fixed, right?
but doge whales / hodlers feel with fix supply, they don't get much profit
if only the supply is fixed & more doge adoption by merchants, the price more likely to rise and stay up
as of now, a few people use it for cheap way for transfering balance between exchangers
even if the exchanger charges 100 doge per tx (usually 5-10 doge), it is way cheaper than btc tx fee

It's also often cheaper to exchange your altcoin to doge then to another exchange then to btc first and then the other exchange. I sometimes do this when one exchange doesn't support a coin so I send some to it because it works out cheaper for the tx.

Dogecoin recover every time, history showed that. Last winter it dropped down until 18 sat but it recovered in Spring and made new highs. I have no doubt that Doge will recover again. I'm waiting to buy back when it becomes less than 20 sat again. I think that's pretty clever investment idea. Doge never dies.

Doge will for sure survive, but as Charlie Lee put it: "It was made as a joke currency and it's good for people getting into crypto to mess around with." So basically due to this and the inflation, it's not going to moon, but it will probably stay as it's one of the older, more established cryptos.

I can't vote either  Embarrassed. To the topic, Doge is awesome community but devs left it behind it stays as it was 2 years ago. Once in a while there's someone who wants to bring it up but it ends in words only. It's IMO good currency to show new people how cryptos work. Its cheap, it's DOGE, low fees. But I think that's it nothing beyond it.

I hope for it to recover and I still see some potential in its popularity. You can move money quite easily with dogecoin as most exchanges accept it, and it is great to not get so high fees in doing so.

I don't know if this is a bad news. I've known dogecoin ever since I started here and it survived for a long time. Honestly, it's one of the stable coin that I've seen so far, it's stable but the price is too low. And I don't think that a lot of people would care if it recovers or not. I also have some doge coin but I just got it from faucets before and kept it.

Yes this coin exists long back, but there is no big growth in this coin. Many gambling sites have accepted this coin and players also using this coin to play gambling. Still, why it is not recovering don't know. Other new coins grew very fast, but this is the only coin suffering lot from last few years. I am also keeping some coins and hoping atleast it will hit $1 is this possible?

People never took it serious i guess.I had a lot of dogecoins but had to sold when i had a little chance of profit.I guess it will be always a cute meme coin. Sad

The guy who ruined dogecoin.... He's been arrested and convicted of raping 5 women. He is currently serving 11 years.
https://coinjournal.net/ryan-kennedy-convicted-rape-sentenced-11-years/

I haven't found any information about his fraud trial involving crypto but I'm sure the prosecutors are not going to let this guy off easy.

Dogecoin and Ripples XRP have about the same supply. A side by side past price view with Doge price times 100. At least Doge is a Blockchain and not just a Distributed Database.

Doge has been around for a few years with strong community.

It has been surviving and I think it will recover when BTC price is more stable.

I hope it does, I have some DOGE and want to sell them when it reached 100+ satoshis.

Doge is still breathing inspite on these scenarios which do happen to it. I do still have hopes for DOGE coin since im a holder on some of it. We wont know if it would recover or not because i will still hodl no matter what since i do bought them on the possible cheapest price of each dogecoin.
