True. It's not only about the Christmas. We can just assume that Elon is busy that time like everyone else so he forget to post update in his favourite coin. If you are a supporter of this coin then you guys shouldn't lose hope. Holidays are now over and people's lives are starting to go back in normal again, so let see if Elon will be posting updates again about Doge one of these days.

The whales and Elon Musk can shake the market but they aren't the only two who benefit from this but those retail investors can take out a profit as well as long as they will act quick of course. That is the reason why they are waiting for those two since they can do most of the movements.

Doge is just a bunch of people baghding and day trading. Anyone who wanted a stack of doge already bought it in the last run up. With supply always going higher its only inevitable that doge starts dropping to even lower prices here.

Those who bought in the last round may still be holding on to their Dogecoin, especially considering that the price is still below that. And seeing the correction experienced by bitcoin yesterday, some coins also experienced corrections. The correction may continue even though the bitcoin price is now at $ 21k. But Dogecoin may still be the coin of the whales. But to be day trading, I don't think it's worth doing because the price movement is not good enough.

But the post stands about the christmas day which means already passed and Elon did not do anything in this favor so maybe we will be looking for further time if this is going to happen again or Elon will choose other altcoins to boost like what he is doing in the past year though Doge is one of his favorite.

We don't see Dogecoin being able to increase as high as the past ATH and it seems like Elon isn't focusing too much on Dogecoin either. But I don't know. We can't predict what Elon will do next. But in my opinion, this Dogecoin might be able to repeat its best moments in the future especially when the altcoin season comes.

That is the problem when the purpose of a cryptocurrency starts working solely around the idolatry of a market speculator. DOGE was a great classical crypto while it remained independent and part of the whole community of crypto enthusiasts, but once it became property of Elon Musk the scenario completely changed. Now DOGE fully relies on him shlling for it in order to survive and grow. In other words: Musk screwed up DOGE for his own personal benefit on short term, what must have been very profitable, but not likely to happen on the same intensity futurely, especially because now he is focused in another matters which don't involve cryptos.

People already lose interest on dogecoin and he can't maneuver the market anymore, and even if he could do anything about the dogecoin I strongly believe that they have failed up and most likely wouldn't follow any of his tweets anymore.
I feels so pitied for those who were rushing to buy it when it was around .8$ thinking it would get to the $1 leaving investors in a handicap.

It's still up to us if we will ignore this coin or not. If it's only about payment vehicle then BTC is originally built for this. BTC support is still much large than doge.

This is the power of hyping up a coin and specially if its attached into those popular or known people which there's always a tendency that it would really make out some significant pump
and this is nothing something new on this market and this is why there are people who do really take up some gamble or risk on dealing with coins that are potentially could be hyped up

It's because everyone has got enough of it already. There's no need for people that still ditch on his hype but it seems that there's no hype he's bringing with that tweet.
It is that most people are sensational with every tweet he make and on that photo, a dog and a santa hat, well, there's some hint but good thing that the market didn't reacted that lot.

It's obvious he posted it, but his dogs are happier than us. In the coming year, things should be better. It is true that Elon Musk's tweets temporarily affected Dogecoin's price, however, he does not seem to be the primary driver at the moment.

Elon still has the biggies influence in Doge which even with just a tweet like that OP's sample might trigger some volumes of buyers. This December however is not as quite positive at all to crypto, unlike the previous years where we see little pumps.
