There was an actual bet on this?
How disgusting if you did place a bet on this.

Does he really deserve anymore attention then he already did for murdering of two people?

I don't think so/ Embarrassed

I don't know whether OJ was in prison for murder or robbery.

Maybe someone who kept up with OJ can comment on that.

What a world. O.J. Simpson, who went to jail for kidnapping and robbery and not for killing two people, has his parole hearing on Thursday, which you can watch live on ESPN, tomorrow at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (01:00 PM Eastern Time).

As with any big event that takes place these days, you can make some money if you'd like to place a wager on the outcome. Offshore betting websites are offering odds on whether  O.J. will become a free man this week. According to the people betting there, the odds are in his favor. But of course, many people will disagree.

So, for those of you who are strongly convicted he will be denied parole, why not try and make some money off of it?

On the other hand, it is entirely possible he will be granted parole, considering he's already served 9 years, which is quite a bit considering the severity of the crime he was convicted of and apparently he's been a very well-behaved prisoner while serving his sentence. Of course, legally, the parole board should treat him as not guilty of the 2 murders, but nobody can know what will be going through their minds tomorrow.

The amount of money you can earn depends entirely on how much money will be placed on each outcome.
For example, if a total of 2 BTC is placed on Yes (doesn't matter if it came from 2 people or 50) and let's say only you bet on No, you will get 2 BTC no matter what amount of BTC you bet. If there's a total of 2 BTC placed on Yes and 0.2 BTC placed on No and you bet 0.1  and you win, you will get 50% of the share which would be 1 BTC in this case. Of course, this example is unrealistic but hopefully that explains it.

If you're interested in betting on the outcome you can place a bet with Bitcoin right here:

Edit: If you're reluctant to place the first bet, don't worry, if no one else places any bets and you lose, you will get your money back because there is no one to be payed out.

So you're telling me no matter how much I bet and I am the only person that bet on the event, I would get the whole winnings of the other side? That basically the most stupid game I've heard. Then there is no incentive to bet higher. If you bet higher you just get high percentage of the other side in case you win. What happen to good ol' grading of odds eh?

Oh my god, seriously? People bet on this kind of stuff now?
I thought gambling on WWE events were crazy. Now we're betting on outcomes of parole? LOL
We should have a long list of people in prison and bet on whether they would also be granted parole.

John Hinckley Jr. the man who shot Ronald Reagan was released from the hospital. Bradley/Chelsea Manning was also released. That could mean that OJ has a chance of being paroled.

Politics could weigh heavily into whether OJ is released or not. I'm not certain which direction the wind is blowing at the moment.
