War have never been a solution to any problem, that's why I believe that the only way forward is for the two side to go back to the negotiation table an settle their differences
Russia wants Ukraine and the Ukrainian people do not want to be a part of Russia how can they settle their differences when both will never budge in negotiations. Russia has invested years under Putin to make this attack on Ukraine and the people of Ukraine was never going to want to be Russian. The only way this gets solved is Russia gets defeated, Ukraine gives up a portion of Ukraine that Russia agrees to accept or Russia wins the war and takes Ukraine. This war could go on for many years because there is no way any of these happen in the next 5 years.

The way Russia is structured, it is near impossible for them to run out of weapons entirely, they may run low on some certain weapons, but their defense industry still have the capacity to produce most weapons that doesn't require exported material.
I was listening to vladimir putin last month when he was praising their defense industry, tell them that they have triple their production so as to meet up to the high demand of the military.

Well, first i don't think Russia will run out of weapons as the 2nd global army

from WW2 they been focus almost all it's resources on making/preparing for any attacks WEST vs EAST, me as a person i want this war to end, but the west they think there prev invades (VIETNAM-IRAQ-SYRIA-LIBYA and more....) and there "Security" are important then any other country!

So i bet they will take a lesson from RUSSIA, and for this ignorance i hope Russia enter the capitale and end this fu** war!
From algeria and always want all countries to have there rights and be equal!

I don't think Russia will run out of weapons for the war she has prepared for decades.

Russia has supporting allies backing her up. Russia herself is among world power, meaning Russia is endowed with what weapons it take to fight war.

Europe is backing out of support for Ukraine. The US is feeling the pinch and is considering how to back out gracefully. This war will be over shortly... probably within a year. Look here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.61730077.

The only question - one which Russia might not know the answer to - is, what will Russia do with Ukraine when the West stops supporting her? Will they allow Ukraine to be their own country? Or will they totally annex her, dissolving Ukraine right off the maps?

I've been thinking about Russia and how relentless they've been after invading Ukraine and a promise of a world war they've been preparing for over a decade.
I was watching a local news of recent when I came across a news saying that Russia is running out of weapon and ammunition and that Russia is already begging North Korea for ammunition which caught my attention because I was wondering the possibility of great Russia running to North Korea which is known as one of the poorest country on the surface of the earth for ammunition and I think this is because of the bans imposed on Russia by the west.

What do you think of this news
And what do you think would make Russia go begging from North Korea.

Please pardon me if this isn't the right right board for this topic and it should be moved to the right board if not yeah or help let me know so I can move it there.

I don't think Russia will run out of ammunition or other weapons.

Many Chinese, and Middle Eastern companies are circumventing sanctions and sending them required high-tech components to produce
heavy weapons, UAVs, etc. Their factories in the Ural mountains are working 24/7.

What they will run out of first are skilled officers and leaders, IMHO. They are being eliminated at an unprecedented pace.

This is what will eventually be the root cause of why the Russian/Soviet army will be defeated in Ukraine.

Their logistics, top-down, Soviet-style command structure, nepotism, non-military (Putin's, Rigozin's) involvement
in the day-day decision-making is what will bleed them out and eventually force the withdrawal.

I think NATO/Ukraine should plan for a long war, they need to eliminate at least a few million Russian soldiers to end this war.

It looks like this will be another Afghanistan (times 100) for the Russians.

Russia is a major developed country with enough resources and men power as they had planned. There's no doubt that the past war profile of Russia has made a vast impact on Russia, but they are still strong enough to stand and fight against anyone.

Maybe the Ammos they are using is used with some sort of calculations where when they used it, they calculate the time and resources to produce it again which will make it an unlimited cycle when we talked about weapons and Ammos. They are not some countries that are relying on their weaponry from other countries because they are the ones who create their weapons and they also invented something that we don't know yet. an unreleased version of their weapons is yet to come and it would be an all-out war if they start to fire one of those because their enemies will surely aggressively react.
Russia has highest number of nukes in the world - they have been in war since ages
but they are continuously upgrading themselves too in weapon and in tech

For me I don't see Russia running out of resources to continue their aggression on Ukraine. Despite the support Ukraine is getting from the US and other NATO countries, Russia has continued to press their neck. The best solution is dialogue, dialogue, and peace making for the sake of the civilians.

My humble opinion.

Ukraine won't accept dialogue. They won't even talk until Russia moves its armies out of Ukraine, and gives back the land they have taken.

Now  Belarus begins joint military aviation drills with Russia -  Belarusian defense minister says drill  to run through Feb 1, 2020 `on the other hand Ukraine president says
Exercises  is a guise to strengthen the combat aviation group in Belarus - there are already so many countries involved in the war.

If Ukraine surrenders today, there will be almost instant peace in Ukraine... tomorrow.

This doesn't exactly suggest for a fact how much "wealth" or military equipment Russia has for fighting. But there had better be some big, successful push by Ukraine to offset the Russian taking of Soledar, or we might be able to start concluding that Russia has already won, and all that is left is the mopping up.

Putin Hails "Positive" Momentum In Ukraine, "Stable" Economy In Surprisingly Upbeat Remarks

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/putin-hails-positive-momentum-ukraine-stable-economy-unexpected-upbeat-assessment
He said in fresh weekend comments to Rossiya 1 state television when asked about the successful Soledar operation that "The dynamic is positive." He described that "Everything is developing within the framework of the plan of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff." Putin followed with, "And I hope that our fighters will please us even more with the results of their combat."

He also made comments on the state of the economy while confirming that Russia will turn for trade to Asian powers, China and India in particular.

"The situation in the economy is stable," Putin said. "Much better than not only what our opponents predicted but also what we forecast." For this he cited low unemployment, saying: "Unemployment is at a historic low. Inflation is lower than expected and has, importantly, a downward trend."

Despite his county finding itself more isolated than ever before in its modern history, and despite unprecedented Western-led sanctions, Putin showed no signs of backing down from objectives previously set in Ukraine, as Reuters summarizes of the new remarks...

"Putin now casts the war in Ukraine as an existential battle with an aggressive and arrogant West, and has said that Russia will use all available means to protect itself and its people against any aggressor."

There are also reports that the Russian government is putting so much pressure on its local weapon manufacturers to produce more weapons because they are using more than the production capacity.
There was also a report of how out of frustration of not getting badly needed warplanes Putin publicly scolded his deputy prime minister Denis Manturov for being too slow. We shouldn't also lose sight that there is also a propaganda war going on that sometimes these news or reports are overblown or even distorted.

Most countries are not willing to supply arms to Russia due to fear of sanctions because even Iran is denying that it is not supplying war tools to Russia because of fear of sanctions. I think just like Ukraine, Russia needs external support because its local production would not be able to match the kind of war it is currently fighting.

I even heard about this from the British and American media a few months ago, they claimed that Russia's arsenal is running out and will not be enough to prolong the war until the end of 2022. But then what? Ukraine was constantly attacked with high-precision cruise missiles and made Ukraine face a lot of difficulties when its energy facilities were crippled by Russia. It can be said that it was Western intelligence that harmed Ukraine. No one knows how many weapons Russia has, it's all lies by the Western media.

They were using a lot of their Kalibr missiles to strike Kiev and there were reports that in the first half of 2022 they had less than 100 of them left.
Since there were many launches since then and we even have videos of Ukrainians shooting down Kalibr missiles with MANPADS, we can safely say that Russians are running low.
As for the lies, there are intelligence unts assigned to watching and counting every single piece of armor, every ship and plane. Do you really think that NATO forces didn't have spies in Russia long before the war in Ukraine? Both sides know a lot about their armaments and what the Ukrainians didn't know they got from hundreds of Russian PoWs.

If Russia was doing good supply-wise its soldiers wouldn't be running with Mosins and using armor plates made of road signs.

Yes, they are running out of weapons and have just over 100 Kalibrs, and today Russia just attacked the infrastructure of the capital Kyiv, Ukrainian officials are still estimating the damage. You are underestimating their forces and will pay a heavy price if you continue to underestimate your opponent.

The fact that Russia withdraws troops or is recaptured by Ukraine does not mean that they are weak, in war sometimes they take 1 step back but 3 steps forward. The plan was always changed to suit the war situation.

There is a little word >>> 'manufacturing'. I'm sure that Russia is well into manufacturing plants for manufacturing more armament.

It is also possible to consider the idea that some countries can illegally and secretly do business with Russia. We know some countries hold different beliefs as regards the crisis in Ukraine and not all agree that Russia is wrong even though they may publicly act in that manner. Russia can make enticing deals to these countries in exchange for ammunitions or ammunition related supplies that can be used by them to produce more ammunitions. The truth we will know just with time.

Maybe they ran out of ammos and soldiers but they do have nuclear warheads right and I believe no country is going to fight with ground forces like we seen in world war 1 and 2 if there is 3 so they're still in the position to fight whereas if there is any situation of world war will affect the whole world not just a country.

Its actually the microchips in advanced weapons systems that Russia is lacking due to sanctions issued by Western nations. Ammo can be easily made but microchips are difficult to mass produce and most nations have relegated their manufactures to Taiwan (more Taiwan than any other), China, South Korea and Japan.

Russia is big. The only thing they are short on is people. They could make anything happen if they had more people. They don't need other countries to supply them with anything. Siberia (part of Russia) has enough resources to support a far larger Russian population, and to make war materials or anything else for Russia.

The thing that converts raw materials into products are people with knowledge of how to do it. This is the only thing stopping Russia... not enough people to do it.
