Ok so how about this. 1300w psu running 6 RX 570s and then a new rig with 1200w psu running 5 RX 470s and one 5x 570.

That should work right?

I would always do the 2x PSUs.

The only thing you really have to be careful about is not using both PSUs to supply one GPU.

For example, if a GPU has a 6pin+8pin, don't use 6 pin from one power supply and 8 pin from another.
Also, don't use the 24-pin motherboard power from one and the 8-pin CPU power from the other.
It's fine to use one PSU for the riser and another for the GPU themselves.

My set up is like this: I have one PSU powering the motherboard, CPU, SSD, and all the 2 risers and 2 GPUs. The other PSU powers 5 risers + 5 GPUs.

I was looking at two EVGA G2 750W PSUs but wasn't 100% sure of joining them and if that would cause an issue. Seems to be "don't do it" or "it's not problem".

So I got a EVGA 1300W which is on backorder. I also have 5 Nitro RX 470s coming which I think I will use the 1200W PSU for.

Do you think two 750Ws over one 1300W is worth it for the 7 rx570 setup? It's about the same price. And I could probably cancel the 1300W order.

1200W might not quite be enough.

You gotta figure some wattage for the CPU, MB, SSD, risers, and what's left over will probably be less than 130w per card. Depending on how much you undervolt, it might be okay. You also don't want to constantly be running a PSU at 100%, because it will shorten the lifespan.

The easy way around this is to get 2x 700w-800w psus and use a joiner. It's much cheaper and more reliable.

Got 7 RX 570 cards on the way. I ordered the Seasonic Flagship PRIME SERIES SSR-1200PD 1200W PSU. But now I'm worried that it will be under powered. AND I just read a review (which was oddly just deleted) that said even though it lists 8 x 6+2-Pin on the stats, it really only has 6 and requires splitters which are not included.

I think the stats are referring to the number of connectors. Here's a pic of the back. Is there someway to get 8?

Should I get a EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2?
