Are you talking about this project (http://spacechain.com/))

If you're talking about the first link, i think it's interesting and unlike most project, they don't push to make ICO/cryptocurrency just for project that don't require ICO/cryptocurrency. I just wonder how will they manage bandwitch and latency problem, especially with cryptocurrency which have short block time.
But, it's great to see Blockstream Satellite (https://blockstream.com/satellite/) have new competitor.

Yes Smiley Spacechain.com

Nice! The other one you mention is pretty amazing too!

I think the vision for SpaceChain is more to actually explore space, advance space technology thru the "Android OS" for space ... because like Nasa has blown away so much money on dead projects... And also private efforts (like by some of the famous billionaires) will need working solutions. I guess we will just need to wait for the whitepaper and the coming partnership announcements that are supposed to be coming really soon.

So the point of all this is exploring the roar of space using heavy equipment driven by Android, right?
Then where is the function of the crypotucurrecny?
Can Bitcoin be used for payment tickets going into space?

This coin has dropped alot. Same as Qtum.

Now SpaceChain is going dual blockchain using Qtum and ETH. You can freely swap coins but dont have to. I dont think you will ever get them this cheap again and if you read their twitter and posts they are working hard and have the hardware almost finished to equip space rockets and space ships, if all works out its done in two weeks.

I don't think Spacecoin will 100x...I doubt it will 20x lol. However, the same team is  behind Oceanchain which in my opinion has some real use.
I wouldn't plan on that coin being that high priced too.
Just because a guy with a lot of money says something it doesn't mean what he says is 100% true.

It seems like a groundbreaking project to invest in the future, but I am really curious about how to make integration the blockchain technology, which is still in its infancy, into high level software and hardware systems such as space technology.

spacechain has already developed their spaceOS which space hardware can utilize. so this is maybe an entry point to then use it for blockchain technology. the other real world use is being able to access your tokens even when you are out in the wilderness. or live in an area where there is no internet. or when there is a global disruption of internet. which probably is very unlikely to happen, but some might appreciate it for a worst-case-scenario. the next factor would be internet regulation by large ISPs. which is more likely to happen. lets say the governments did start banning cryptos and did block exchanges, blockchain traffic.... in theory spacechain would still be up.

there would always be countries too that allowed spacechain to shoot up new and more satellites, so this definitely is bringing crypto forward in whole. i mean even if we keep talking worst case scenarios, and they arrest spacechain team, and kill the project. after about 5 years the satellites would be down but thats a long time to develop new ways to have blockchain up even if governments ban it.

also even if none of the worst case scenarios ever happen, its actually more leverage against government oppression. its like more power to the hydra, and the governments will see people will just keep using crypto if they want to so a ban would probably just make things worse for government (and banks).

These guys are the owners of the government so don't worry! Also check out nexus, same thing only with smaller satellites.

Anyone knowledgeable that have read the white paper that can touch on their view of this project?

From a newbie point of view this seem very exciting because of the backing from Tim Draper and the other hot shots, and I mean space exploration adds a bit too it as well  Grin

What do you guys think of Spacechain?

the view is to bring exploration, everything space forward. help scientists, allow more students to study space... because with spacechain every student can make apps for space and use the sensors for example. also it it involves a moonbase (that i think president trump wants to do and probably others), where for example there would be stations in between earth and moon, and different rockets/spaceships could make stops on the way. plus all the billions nasa has wasted on projects that never went to anything. with spacechain and their spaceOS now theres one platform that can combine it all and bring it together.

its a nonprofit foundation.

tho of course its not all nonprofit as there is the tokens and investors could always sell them for profit.

the reason i like this project is because yeah. tim draper. but also the ceo of spacechain, zhee like they call him i think, he sees this as his mission in life after selling his educational company for many millions and wanting to do something of purpose with his life. so this is all really good factors and its not one of these crazy projects where investors lose a lot of money because it will never be anything. i think thats pretty clear to see that spacechain is bigger than this.

still this does not mean its a success. it will depend how hard zhee works, how hard tim draper weights in and pushes it on his media appearances.what partnerships they reach maybe with branson, musk, bezos or even nasa..... thats all very hard to predict but since tim draper knows elon musk personally, the contacts and connections definitely are there...

i would not put 50%, not even 20% of my portfolio in this but its still a nice crypto to have i think. even better it would have been if they actually would have went for their own blockchain, own smart contracts, and create a whole huge philosophy about it to go in competition with eth.

but maybe they will do this at some point, the best people in business and crypto do learn as they move on, see what works, and can change their visions for the company. tho the vision is pretty good i think, its conveyed greatly on their website too

the problem is so far i see very few interest from people in this, so maybe they need to change their roadmap a bit, make it a little bit more aggressive or develop greater visions. one thing also bothered me, tho its a bit anecdotal, but zhee did an AMA on reddit a while back and he said something along the lines "i wish i knew how to insert an image in reddit, then i would show you this thing.." .. .i mean, if they want to disrupt space industry, you shouldnt have difficulties embedding an image in reddit, or at least posting a link to it, right.... because you should be all about solutions, even quick fixes, thinking out of the box... tho maybe it was just his assistant but see elon musk he would never say "i dont know how to do this", he would just figure it out or find a way around this. this is not meant as critique i hope maybe zhee will read it and just take note because i am sure he always wants to improve also.

I like the way your analysis and review each coins. No bullshit and no shills. Pure logical and facts.

I read up all your posts. Your reasons explaining similar to mine too.
Metaverse, zoin, spacechain pretty promising with strong team and room of growth is big. Totally agreed.
Ethereum too big to fail as of now and all those genius smart guy behind it to solve ethereum current problems difficulty. Ethereum will progress well given times.

Because of your awareness spacechain,  I invest into it. Thanks =) looking forward your post in future.

wow thanks a lot! yeah i think spacechain is cheap now, they also said they are adding more exchanges but its slow at the moment to get listed, however they just got added to the korean exchange Coinnest too.

i think something as spacechain would just need a few really big news, maybe even just one, then it could explode.

also still looking for the next raiblocks/neo Smiley

They are team members not just investors.

Basically, SpaceChain has created an Android Operating System but for Space/Satellites. They are launching the first satellite in a few weeks. They also will have their own blockchain, data storage and dApps and you an access it with a lot of devices in the future anywhere in the world, without needing internet. With no way of ever taking it down by governments.

They would always just need a country thats pro crypto to launch the satellites. But that should be easy.

Two of the guys on their team are often on NBC... CNN.....and founded skype, hotmail, badu... One worked with Satoshi Nakamoto on bitcoin.... One member of their team created software/hardware for the International Space Station.

The reason I am asking, is maybe I am too blinded and I went in with quite a huge amount from huge profits when i bought raiblocks, verge, tron, waltonchain, neo cheap-.. So I actually think SpaceChain will blow up just like them........ Am i missing something? I mean all billionaires are into space like Musk, Bezos.... is this a good investment?

Well that's an uone of a kind project that's for sure,  don't think this has been done before so i'll gave them that but let's see how it plays out in the next monthes

I have read the whitepaper, but not the technical parts. They want to reduce the cost of space programs and also make it accessible to more people. As the space industry cost a lot. I don't know if it is going to be a profitable investment. It is more to help develop the space projects.
We are going to see if it is going to be profitable or not.

especially having to stoop to a shit hole like allcoin are bad news

there is also exx and they said more exchanges are in the works but it takes time currently as exchanges get flooded with new coins

my experience with allcoin is fine, and with exx too. i would just always suggest to not have too many funds in just one exchange

edit: just did a quick withdraw it was instantly in my btc address... with correct fee so will confirm fast .. actually overpaid fee......

i think the biggest risk nowadays with exchanges is really technical issues and hackers because exchanges print so much free money from the fees theres no need to run away.

probably a scam

qtum ceo = disreputable at best probably a scammer

allcoin exchange = scam

2 huge red flags

tim draper - hear that name everywhere lately so means nothing

allcoin seems to have had an ownership change, but everyone who had funds in the old was told to contact them with an email, so i am not sure its scam. now everyone screams scam way too easy. i saw hitbtc has 99% bad reviews but its mostly from people putting low transactions fee, or from some delays, but never actually from hitbtc stealing anything....... and when people get their funds they never change the "scam!" reviews..... its a bit frustrating for exchanges i am sure.

i dont know anything about qtum allegations..

as for spacechain and tim draper... well..... tim draper founded hotmail, skype and so much more .he is well respected everywhere....

the risk factor i see more in jeff garzik as he is not very focused it seems in general...

but he is only technical chief so maybe the 40 devs still work together nice Smiley

the ceo of spacechain is in his 20s and already had a very successful company in education. seems trustworthy to me.

biggest challenge is how big spacechain can get. such projects often fail because of low interest, low funds (because everything can be very expensive in space) but i do think spacechain got some nice solutions for it, like cheap satellites, and of course tim draper, plus a good mission and cause.

ALLCOIN = scam 100%

I know this personally giving people the run around saying they have no record of their accounts and shit when the people have the full email proof they had accounts there.

qtum ie stephen dai was found to be a part of the scammers that raped the bitbay ico.  The full investigation was laid bare by gleb and david zimbeck spoke out about it too. He was not a prime scammer but still took BTC and contributed nothing to the project even when invited to do so. He is only not a prime scammer like the rest since he returned his bitbay to the real dev but kept the btc. If you want the full investigation you can find it on the start of the qtum thread unless they removed it.

those 2 are red flags but do not essentially say this entire project is a scam... but those 2 things... especially having to stoop to a shit hole like allcoin are bad news

The project is really interesting. I checked the coin on CoinMarketCap and it's $0.37 with 1.000.000.000 coin supply. I'd say the price it a little high, but it didn't increase much in price. It has good chances to moon a little.

Did you even look at the post right above yours?

1. Their website is down and has been for some time.  Cached copied of their website claim big investors but do not link to anything to substantiate it.
2. Their website has grammatical errors and poor spelling in places (cached version).
3. The last time the founder posted on Reddit was an AMA 3 months ago- since then nothing from his account or any of his teams there.
4. The cached version of their website indicates a WeChat page- but there are several and no English Versions (and translator does not do a very good job).
5. No links to GitHub anywhere.

I really like Muenzes suggestions though so maybe he can show me I am crazy.

1. the website is up at http://spacechain.com/ and has always been for me. there was a fraudulent website maybe you were on that one?

3. the last info from the spacechain founder is from just a few hours ago. he spoke at tim drapers space conference/summit. also jeff garzik spoke on it. the videos are linked here: https://twitter.com/Space__Chain

5. github i dont think it exists yet. but the spacechain spaceOS is open source i think so it will be there sooner or later... there was mentioned about 50 people have worked on it in the past months and its ready to launch the first satellite which should happen quite soon.

there is also some info on the qtum reddit about spacechain. but the best read so far is probably to check out the twitter , because there they have been posting all news so far.

the founder of spacechain is pretty young. in his 20s. but he did launch a successful educational platform in china that he got from 0 to 10 million/year in sales. and then he sold it. i dont know for how much but surely a very nice amount. he then faced the question "what to do with my life", got mentored by tim draper himself, and found his calling: helping space exploration and space travel move forward. thats why its also a nonprofit foundation just like ETH is. so i think this could become really huge. the only risk i see is jeff garzik ruins it.

Thanks Hawaii2020 - it looks like their website was down yesterday and when I pulled website uptime records it said it had been offline for awhile- glad its back up!  I am reviewing their Twitter as well- not sure how I never found it during my Google Fu session.   Any whitepaper to review?

Found some news about it that was published late last year: https://www.techinasia.com/spacechain-blockstream-blockchain-to-satellite

Did this project have a fund raiser of any kind?

The CEO of SpaceChain is already a millionaire. He is only in his 20s but started an educational company in china that he got from 0 to 10 Million/year, then he sold it for surely a multiple of that. Now he was looking for what to do with his life and all his money...  Then he got mentored by Tim Draper and found his true calling: Bring space exploration forward. Explore the universe. Find out what dark matter is. He, Tim Draper, Jeff Garzik, and a guy who created software and hardware that is being used on the International Space Station funded it, as well as some others.

It is a nonprofit Foundation just like Ethereum is.

They just updated their website and released a whitepaper. I am not a whitepaper expert so I hope some people can give some insight. I usually invest based on the team and execution. Because many have good ideas, few people can execute them well.

The new website looks amazing... http://www.spacechain.com/

So- I tried really hard to look into this because your post history makes it sound like you REALLY know what your talking about, but was really discouraged by the (lack) of information here:

So what I am left with is a few 3 month old postings, no verification that these people are actually on the team, no team communication, no indication of active development, and its primary exchange is 'EXX' which, when I search, first comes up with porn sites.  Can you show me the resources you are looking at or how your verifying?

Thank you!

I don't think so. You should have gone balls deep in Nexus instead! Cube sats, Quantum resistant, 3D blockchain, smart contracts + more...

is nexus your project? i couldnt even find any team members?
i heard of such projects before and they were usually either a
bit scammy or just a dream.

as for spacechain there is already videos of tim draper and jeff
talking about it / being in on it .... so spacechain is real and based
on a great team and need

https://twitter.com/space__chain

spacechain has been pretty much under wraps and secret, but their team of 50
has been working on it for a while, and spaceOS is ready already. i am excited we can
get in early. this is the ETH of space. the possibility is unlimited.

first satellites launch this year already, they already have the permissions.

its still only valued at around $150m and will go to a few billions easily.

people will cry when they see the price at $10 a coin in a few weeks...
and say "oh nooo! i should have taken the 2 minutes to sign up to the
two exchanges and get it for $0.40..."
and still buy.... because its still cheap at $10.... just like eth last year..

tim draper of spacechain also is close with elon musk and they also
have a members/supplier of international space station in their team
who did software and hardware for the ISS. it does not get more real
than this?

if you know any other coins with such high potential currently please
let me know as fast as possible i will love to check it out

i dont know if it can go x50 or x100 but there probably is a high chance with the qtum founder, skype founder, badu founder in the team of spacechain. they know how to execute an idea, think out of the box and have a winning company. which is a big part for any success.

you still cannot know if its going to be a winner in this market. nobody believed in neo or eth in the begin and people called it a scam. i did buy some spacechain but not so many that it would hurt if it failed. i just hope it dont hurt too much later for not buying more.
