all cryptos including EOS and other top coins, seems to generally follow bitcoin, sure it can go up a bit alone but then people start taking profits, it seems like one shouldn't stare themselves blind on specific cryptos. if EOS "ended" with bad news it'll stay that way until the market in general starts going up!

does it really mean that wen a particular coins has bad news it surely affects all the coin in the marketcap.com? or it only maintains to that specific coin. but from my understanding if bitcoin is down it will affect the entire market.

huh, what I mean is that when some good news comes, but the market in general is "stuck", it can pump the price but very shortly it generally dumps down a bit (unless it's actually huge news and not just the usual "news about news about news"). same as when the market is falling, everything is going down. it's how it will work aslong as we're tied to bitcoin
basically EOS has no support because it was decreasing a lot. Bitcoin has become the main choice for everyone right now to bet on the ETF next month. When bitcoin gets a lot of the demand and it wioll give an instant pump to the bitcoin. Altcoin can't do anything with it and it can only to follow bitcoin.

The current trend generally in the market in a bearish, not just for EOS, and I do believe that this will be on for some time and has far as the market remains like that, sane will be for EOS. When the bullish trend returns and the market becomes stable, same will happen for EOS. Investors just need to be more patient.

EOS price is below the 12-day exponential moving average (EMA), as well as below the 26-day EMA, which is an indication the bearish market trend could continue.

However, there are some good news in the EOS' ecosystem. A blockchain startup Havven, which offers cross-blockchain payments, is going to bring its stable coin, i.e., a cryptocurrency tied to a stable asset, to the EOS network.  The startup aims to issue USD on the Ethereum as well as EOS network, thus enabling cross blockchain payments. The stable coin will adjust its supply according to market shifts, so as to maintain the price of a fiat currency.

How do you think? Will the bearish trend continue for much longer?

That's the good news about EOS, but the bear market will carry on due to bad news about ETF. Due to this manipulaters got chance to do more manipulation and create FUD so that loosers will leave and they will buy more. Every altcoin will move when Bitcoin will move as Bitcoin have 45% to 50% dominance on crypto market.

Bitcoin's dominance has more than half of the market right now. I think it's not about eos or any other altcoin anymore. Their small successes and failures are not making the weather out here. Minor btc news are more important than major alts' news for now. It is a really bad thing for the market imo, but as long as people trust bitcoin a lot more than any other alt, the situation will stay this way and other coins will be able to prosper only when bitcoin is prospering as well. Like the op said, eos is actually having good news, but it simply doesn't matter.

I do believe so up until the end of 2018. This is the trend right now after all. However, I do hope that things would change. We will never know what storm will be coming in the market of crypto.

It's not just the EOS. The whole market of cryptocurrency is bearish right now. So you have to be ready. Prepare youself emotionally and don't expect too much this year.

Good news in the eos ecosystem does not matter at all, this bear market does not allow any coin to rise, after it ends, eos will be rising.
