It is impossible for operators to let the market collapse. The purpose of controlling prices is to earn a difference. If the market collapses, their investment costs will also die in the market!
There are lots of whales and sharks in this market. This market can not be collapsed by any individual. If they set up a team large enough to be determined to do that, then it could happen. But no one wants to do that because this is where they become millionaires and billionaires
Manipulations happen in almost every market. But the manipulation in the crypto market is even more pronounced because the market is unregulated. The market cannot crash because of manipulators, but it will end up making potential investors lose confidence in the market, consequently, no injection of fresh funds.
I don't think bitcoin has a manipulator.

I think the current crash in the market is a product of manipulation. These guys in congress have a way of spreading FUD which the crypto community will always respond to negatively, resulting in massive sell off.

Whales are looking for new earnings on new investors. Now all the conditions for beginners are created and I think this is the trap that was created artificially to make money on trusting investors. Nothing would surprise me!
It seems that price manipulation will be very difficult because the demand for bitcoin is so much that there will be lots of buying orders that make bitcoin prices difficult to manipulate.

manipulation will not cause Bitcoin to crash. Because I think they will strategically make the mentality of the traders different day by day and make money from traders who have no knowledge of Crypto.Nothing would surprise me!
I think the manipulation will never make the value of the altcoins go down too much, I still believe in the strong development of Cryptocurrency in the future.
Manipulators will manipulate but the main concern is not that. The only answer to the manipulators is to ignore the negative news. As everyone is well known to the fact that news plays a massive role in the crypto market.

There game is set as always. They have accumulated enough at low price. And now they will just sit back for a while and let the price appreciate. Then rinse and repeat after some time.

With the recent influx of value for Bitcoin no body has predicted that market growth. Now, after that increase the market has not been able to move far away from the where it left of. There is a strong possibility of a big crash to take money from the weak hands. As analyst said there are series of pump and dump that will happen in the coming weeks.
Now bitcoin is very strong and entrenched above the level of 7200 dollars, so no one will let him now fall. Even if someone wants to manipulate the price of bitcoin, they will not be able to bring down the price below 6500 dollars.
I don't know but there are many manipulators and they can crash the market but there are also many buyers like them so it would rise again.
Market is depends on investors and some adoption so totally we can said manipulators are involved in the pump and dump. I think some adoption is comes in the market we can expect good pump and some banning issues are regulations are comes in any country automatically this will dump continuously. So we should not completely know the details in Crypto fluctuation.
I think the market manipulator will not make the market go awry, because all altcoin is affected by Bitcoin prices, if they continue to manipulate the market, investors will get angry and bored, investors can leave crypto, I think manipulator understand this situation, I hope they are generous and leave the normal market back.

The news are also manipulated which is why I don't trust those news but you can ride with them so you can profit. Now that analyst say the price didn't dip to its bottom yet until it don't go down to $5K. I'm not sure whether to believe this as well but you can dump yours and see for yourself. If it happens then you can buy back when the price dip to $5k. Its going to be good for those who plan at least to have 1 BTC before its price go $50k.
You need to have atleast 1,000 bitcoin to consider yourself a whale, but that is just the minimum. Exchanges are also considered one, as they are capable of holding large amount of bitcoin and several alts as well. With just one big sold out it could affect the prices in the market. Fake news could be made by manipulators to help increase or decrease the prices, as some of the people relies on the news on whether when they need to buy and to sell. Main point is, manipulation exist in every market.

It can happen again but no this time I think, we already hit the bottom this year and whales will pump the market now. Manipulators may comeback next year and I hope it will be at a different level. Nothing would surprise me!

Yeah, those who will dump the market are also the one who will pump this market harder. Let's just follow the trend and never argue on that so you will not lose your money. Right now we are in a total red market again but I think this will only last for at least 2 days.
Maybe Bitcoin antagonists made the pump to $20,000 last year and now they use the BTC they bought to fill low sell orders, bringing down the price. This lower market price creates a sense of FUD, when in reality, BTC's marketcap is a major achievement.
IMO the legislators are the one responsible in the crash of the crypto market like for example the recent hearing on crypto in the U.S, congressman Brad Sherman is filing to ban the use of crypto and mining in the U.S.

The market manipulators are earning a lot of money with the future market (CBOE), despite the increase the market trend is still depressed.
There are periods of time when bigger players accumulate for cheap price and times when the same players sell for big profits. They cannot just crash the market, that would scare away too many buyers, but surely they can manipulate to bring on the FOMO for everyday people.
I wouldn't agree that manipulators will force price down again, the market has been ripe for a bullish and going by the technicals, the price breaking the $8,000 will get us to $10,000 level.
It can crash, go back below $6000 or break $8000 and that is not about manipulators. That is mostly about the trade on the exchange, otherd have little effect for me.

This is why trying to guess what whales are going to do is pointless.
Better to look at the news concerning adoption and regulation. To me it all looks bullish. However the demand for btc is still confined to speculators most whom are sheep who can be pushed and scared out at any point. This will change over time as real demand for crypto grows.
If you are in for the very long haul you will not lose holding btc unless a black swan event happens now.

As adoption grows then whales gradually over time will hopefully be reduced in power.

i think no crash right now, with market like this week every whales investor is prepare to have a party because may be they have bought in dip last month..
I'm sure most of them have already bought in the huge slump we've been in for the last few months. I'm sure they're getting ready for the price to go back up again so they can cash in on some of those profits they've been accumulating. I don't think they're going to crash the price right now.
You can have some misunderstandings. Only if the market exists, the controllers can continue to make money. There are no whales/sharks that want the market to collapse, because they will be the biggest victims!

Well as much as we know that anything can happen especially with the price manipulators in crypto, I think they will not do anything negative to the price of bitcoin again this period because I believe most of them would have bought at dip and they will still make profit and moreover, there are positive news around the bitcoin and this will also help it to continue growing. It's possible but it will happene this time consider the bitcoin mtgox has been getting rehabilitation and mtgox trustee has stated he will not dump the bitcoin again to the market and he will try to pay the bitcoin directly to the all of creditors of mtgox itself. Nothing would surprise me!
They have more gain if the price of Bitcoin increases as they surely would have bought the dip, and so they want some profits too. Market manipulators are mostly at work when they want to accumulate more BTC, so they crash the price to it cheap.
There are many people manipulating the market. Not just one person. And they need them for long term profit. I think they will not do the market right now. And they are having positive news with the market so I think the market will go up. Not crash
