1- Will the market crash or will the Chinese and American governments' approach to crypto change?

2- Should assets be sold or held?
No one exactly knows that whether the market will crash or not, and no one can say exactly that what would be the upcoming value of Bitcoin in next months. Although, some people can predict a value but there's no assureity that their predictions will be accurate or not.

I would suggest you to sell your assets if you're in profit and you fear that in coming days or months the market might crash and those assets might lose their value, but if you believe that the market will continue in bullish trend then hold those assets and sell those when you get 1.5x to 2x profit.

Yes, the market will crash, but we don't know when it will happen. I'm sure we'll see a crash, but it could be in a month, or next year. We're in a bull market right now and markets like to alternate between bull and bear every few years. What could start a bearish reversal? War for instance. If we were to enter into a world war, or a large conflict between for instance China and Taiwan, supported by the US, you would see all markets crash.

Chances are that bitcoin will continue the bull market for another 6-12 months. Just wait and see. I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the real top yet.

Should you sell? That depends if you can wait. I always tell people in bear markets that it's just a matter of time before we see a new high and we always do. If you can wait 2-3 years for that, you can buy bitcoin and forget about it. I can bet you that in 2030 it will be going for more than $150k.

I have two questions and please answer them briefly:
1- Will the market crash or will the Chinese and American governments' approach to crypto change?
In the aspect of the market been crash, I'm assuring you that right now, there's no indicator that shows that the market is going to crash

With the statement of American president Donald Trump, I believe that as trump is been inaugurated few days ago, I believe that bitcoin will have the chance of rise, right now you can what price is bitcoin right now.

2- Should assets be sold or held?
If you're an experienced investor, you have know that you're supposed to hold, why so people sell their bitcoin after few periods of investing, is because of fear, this time, I will advice whoever that have bitcoin to continue holding of their bitcoin.

And depending also in the timeframe you consider. Perhaps the market doesn't crash in the short term, but what seems to be a trend in our times is that change and uncertainty will be more frequent than ever in human history. One should be prepared for both scenarios, crash and soar, and still be ok whatever eventually happens.

Depending on how the rules are applied. Whether the rule is far from the positive word for bitcoin or not.
These two countries are economically always competing, so the effect is also there.

2- Should assets be sold or held?

Is this an asset in question as Bitcoin? If yes, my short answer is not. As for other assets (crypto and others), it's up to each of them.

Well, I can't answer for the Chinese if they will swerve in the positive direction for crypto since they aren't exactly against it as long as it doesn't substitute the role of the fiat but as for America, it's a safe space for cryptocurrency investment somehow.

Just as the others have responded, Bitcoin is subject to fluctuations and as an investor, you prepare for this changes and should that push you into selling off your assets? I don't advise that because the same way it drops, it will also gain so it's not wise to always sell at every drop in price.
If you're not confident in investing a huge amount, you could DCA as that would save you the stress of always trying to time the market.

1- Will the market crash or will the Chinese and American governments' approach to crypto change?

2- Should assets be sold or held?

Thank you.
1- No one can answer this question because all financial products in the market are subject to collapse or prosperity according to several factors. The position of America and China will have an impact on the movement of trading and prices as the two largest economic powers in the world, but this does not mean that one or both of them control the price.
2- This depends on your investment plans. It would be better to store Bitcoin for the long term as one of the safest options. You can also trade it in short deals, but there is no guarantee of permanent profit or permanent loss. Most of those who store Bitcoin are long-term investors.

I don't think anyone can give you perfect answers to this question because nobody can actually say what will happen to Bitcoin. If anyone does, it’s just a prediction, and it’s very possible that what they predicted may not happen. So, it would be better not to rely entirely on people’s predictions because they might be wrong.

If you want to invest in Bitcoin and are afraid whether Bitcoin will crash or continue increasing in price, I would suggest starting by using the DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) method. This method allows you to buy Bitcoin at different price levels. You can buy weekly or monthly, and I believe this is the best way to get Bitcoin without losing much, even if it crashes.

One more thing I would say is to only invest what you can afford to lose. This way, you won’t feel pressured to sell if Bitcoin price crashes, and it also gives you more opportunity to hold Bitcoin for a long period of time.

No one can give exactly what the market will be in the following moment or in future because you can think that market will dip in the next week or month and it turns out to be bull where you will starts regretting of not buying enough volume of it. The market is open for any one to venture, be it Chinese or any countries, provided they found it please to venture into it they will definitely do that.

Not a suggestion, just an opinion.
1. The current market situation is sluggish, at the inauguration of Donald Trump yesterday Bitcoin has made a new ATH even though it did not succeed in breaking out the previous ATH, causing Bitcoin to reversal again to test $90-$100k
2. Whether or not to sell is your choice, you are in control of your assets, but before selling you should first research the token or coin you want to sell, don't regret it later if the price goes up higher.

if people can outrightly tell when the market will crash or not then there won't be a thing like loss in bitcoin investment. whatever anyone tells you in this thread is just his observation based on past experience and what he thinks might be response of the market to the current politics happening around bitcoin but in the end the market has its own way getting either bullish or bearish based on the basic economic principles behind the nature of bitcoins volatility.

one certainty is that the market is volatile. it can get bullish or get bearish and at present and even in the future, this is going to be what will surround the market condition that we will continue to see. knowing this constant should tell you to make your plans based on what you have control over and that is just your finance and how much of it you want to expose to certain risk.

Firstly, if judging when the market will crash or having a thought about bitcoin market not crashing anytime soon I will advice you should not invest now because after reading some advice it all boils down to an uncertain answer. Definitely the market will experience a decline but we can never tell when besides investing should be done with a mindset of holding and if anyone should sell out make sure you never sell in loss. The American or Chinese government can’t control the market price totally, Judging if they will ever approach the investment method peherps the hype is real and a little influence but I will never depend my hope on the government.
Exactly, you're asking a question about future predictions, where nobody knows because no one here can time travel. We just have to wait and watch if the market will scale. But know that the crypto market has always been volatile - leadership events can shake the market. However, we're believing that it won't crash. A crash means everything is out, and a lot of big sharks have invested in Bitcoin. So, I have this belief that the market won't crash. There might be a dip, it might shake, but it won't crash.

Asking this question and people giving you their opinions can open your mind, but it can also scare you more. So, it's up to you. If you feel it's not safe, then you can take your coin, liquidate it. But you can also be in the market with other people who have decided to hold for a long time, believing that there will be a bull run, like we experienced in Q4 2024. That's just it.

Many have said that the value around Trump is already priced in and that the next big-thing that could cause a big price increase is the announcement of a strategic bitcoin national reserve. It's something he said he would do. If it doesn't happen soon or we hear negative comments on the idea from his team, we might see a significant correction.

Base on the past history of bitcoin this is the time for bullish momentum and as such we can only see corrections coming in which will be little after heavy pumps. But in this particular bull run there is a great fundamentals that many people are waiting for from the government, like the policy that each countries government will implement towards bitcoin, a positive policy not only by Trump and US alone but some top countries too will most definitely drive or inspire an hype that can create a super bullish cycle. A glimpse of this was actually shown when bitcoin ETF was approved early last year when we broke even the ATH then.

But should reverse be the case and the economic policies are against the people then FUD will kick in and we could experience not only correction but also crash. Personally for me I am based or predicting the first case scenario y to happen at the moment

Is there any reason why you are thinking that the market might crash? Also, I don’t think anyone is sure if there will be a dump or not, but I don’t think any dump will make you sell your coin. As long as you are holding for a long time, then even if there is a dump, then you should keep on holding, that shouldn’t make you sell your coin. In crypto there is always up and down, so it’s just better to be used to it.

Most people that I know that do panic whenever there is a dump are traders, short-term investors, and newbies. If your intention is to hold for a long time, and you have been in the crypto space for some time, then you shouldn’t even panic because there is a dump in the market. I know newbies will panic whenever there is a dump in the market, because they haven’t experienced something like that before, but people that have stayed long should have experience.

During each bull run, we have seen multiple market corrections of 20%, 30% or more. It's not unusual and you can't expect the price to rise forever. It's got to cool down sometime. If you are considering selling your assets because you need the money, you might have invested too much in the first place. Bitcoin remains a speculative and very volatile asset. That's true regardless if it shoots upwards or goes down. Don't invest the money you need for your essential needs.

Many have said that the value around Trump is already priced in and that the next big-thing that could cause a big price increase is the announcement of a strategic bitcoin national reserve. 1- Will the market crash or will the Chinese and American governments' approach to crypto change?

Thank you.

The market is going to crash as always, I mean always assume that the market is going to crash, when the market price continues to skyrocket the next one is always going to be a crash, we always have a crash in the market the higher the market price in increase that higher the chances it will crash like a bubble. I dont see any connections on the Chinese and Americans governments about the crash, there is some news about adopting Bitcoin or making some kind of reserve but the market crash is inevitable.

2- Should assets be sold or held?

I'll say both, depends on how you are going to handle your investment and strategy kind of investment, For the safe part you always want to sell your asset just in case you see the market high like right now, for example, we see Bitcoin hitting all-time high at some point you want to sell probably a small percentage of it so that you are still taking profit and you have liquidity unless you already have huge liquidity you could totally just hold depending on your preference. And also for sure if your just planning to hold for long term anyway then you should just hold market price and crash is not really gonna matter as long as your going to sell your investment at a high market price its always going to be a profit in your end, if you could hold it for years probably especially when the bear market comes and you dont have enough liquidity its going to be difficult for you at that times to hold your investment.

So personally I would sell every time the market is ata  new high, then probably reinvest it when the market crashes, as long as I have a good amount of liquidity in my bank or wallet, I could easily sustain or hold my asset since I have enough money to sustain my living.

The American government has already approached crypto and they have adopted crypto already. Speaking of China, they don't seem to be interested in adopting crypto anytime soon, although some senators or ex-senators or ex-officials—I don't remember the names now but they are from China—showed some interest that crypto should be legalized again.

I also speculate the same but if China says today we are unbanning crypto again, would this pump the market or not? It might or might not, because I don't think most of the world is keeping any eye on China now or what do you think about them? I think assets like BTC, Gold should be hold, why you want to sell them. It really not a good question to ask, I mean why you want to sell and why want to hold should be done on the bases of our own study not by asking others.

It will surely crash once it's time for the market to crash because there are some people waiting for the market to crash before they can visit the market to buy crypto and hodl while there are some people waiting for the market price to pump higher for them to meet up with their target. Chinese and america are not the one controlling the market price, and if they want to buy crypto from the market nobody will stop them not to buy and there is no way they can buy all the crypto from the market.

If you know that you will not earn a good profit from your assets, you can continue hodling your assets until you discover that there is a good turn around that will make you to sell your assets to earn massive profits because the purpose of hodling assets for long, is for the profit to accumulate, I guess I have hit the points you want to hear from the answer to your question op.

Actually no one knows.
We are just currently use the market situation and events so it depends on it if there's anything happen that support or against with the crypto it affects the current price of it. The number of goods news release of course possible increase the number of Investor in crypto.

Sell or to Hold? nah, it depends on your goal at the first place you make an investment in crypto with a plan. Until what price you hold or wait for another confirmation before selling. Is this a daily trade or a long term trade that takes over years. You are the one can answer that. I recommend study market analysis so you don't need to get dependent on other people's opinion too and you can decide at your own without hesitation.

There's no definite answer to your question because there's no one that can give a response that they're 100% sure of because all they'll be doing is speculations.

The market can rise or crash, it doesn't really matter as irrespective of what happens you shouldn't be move but continue hodling. Don't sell to avoid the crash, the crash isn't the end of Bitcoin but a distraction to shake out the weak links.

American government are already bullish on Bitcoin and the industry since Trump won the last election. Although I'm not in support with the way the government have gone around their being positive by launching a memecoins (although I don't believe it's the president doing this instead people around him that wants to take advantage of the hype to make money).

The Chinese I don't know about but  I know they aren't as bearish as they used to be. Assets should be bought and the target shouldn't be to sell tomorrow but later in the coming years.

When I started crypto in 2015 I thought the same as you did. But when I experienced 2 halving periods then I learned a lot of lessons. The market will always move up and down but history says this period of the year is a bull period. So I think it will still last about 6-7 months. I hope there will still be a new ATH for Bitcoin and other Altcoins. The moment of China and America is fundamental and always exists, but moments like history will always repeat themselves. So you don't have to be too scared.

It is your decision, when you are sure or not sure you should be prepared for all the risks. So hold it if you feel confident and let go if you feel doubtful. But you have to be ready for a future that may make you regret it.

It's normal for it to crash at times, causing price spikes.
Remember that this is part of the volatile nature of cryptocurrency, and no one knows where it will go, it's simply unpredictable.  So now, if you hold a proven and tested crypto that will yield a profit if you patiently wait for it to rise, then it's worth to wait.

Keep in mind that market price movements are always unpredictable,
no one knows where they will go.

IMO, holding is a good decision after all.

If you ask about that, no one will know for sure but maybe crypto can get the effect for temporary and then will start arise. Crypto is not depend on any government so even if Chinese and American governments use something to interfere crypto, that will not stay too long. Crypto will still run as usual although the change may affect to some exchanges.

But if that really happen, if you have Bitcoin, you can still hold it and use that moment to buy back as many Bitcoin as you can. You can benefits from the moment of the crash and take the profit when the price increase.

Crash is a part of the market that is difficult to predict as difficult to predict whether the market will go up.
So the market may crash after the market has gone up because it is impossible to always go up.
You should take action based on your own research, not from what people say, you can ask for advice but it is only as an additional reference by continuing to do your own research.

It's hard for anyone to say whether the market will correlate(crash) one more time before the anticipated bull run starts. As it has now been made known that Trump is officially the US president, it is important to keep in mind that the implementation of Bitcoin as the national reserve of the US economy can make Bitcoin skyrocket harder.

2. The choice is all yours to decide, sell or hodl much stronger till when you have seen good profits to sell. Make sure you have a realistic, not unrealistic price in mind

Market can crash or soar, we don't know what it will move as predictions are very inaccurate.

Any big change at governmental level has big impacts on the market and force the market soaring or dumping. For example this pump from possible policy change in China.

Bitcoin Jumps 12% as China's Xi Embraces Blockchain, Boosting Crypto Sentiment.

You can find more pumps or dumps like this.

The more important question for you, is what you will do with a market dump, for example.
Will you panic sell?
Or will you accumulate more bitcoins at discount price because you well prepared your capital for accumulation with market dips.

What we can do as Bitcoin holders is speculate on what ought or not to be, I don't think that anybody knows for sure what what government regulations that can affect Bitcoin price in the future. If Donald Trump, lives up to his promises about Bitcoin reserve and their country's regulations becomes more Bitcoin friendly, I believe that we will have a massive bull run.

Quote
2- Should assets be sold or held?
If it's Bitcoin that means that it is safe to hold on the long term because it a store of value. But if it's altcoins you can hold on the short term, sale and take profit if you get the opportunity and move on because most of them are scams. However it's your money so you can sale your asset at anytime, you don't need anybody's permission to do so.

This feels new to me. Usually, I see these kinds of questions when the market is bearish because that’s when people panic. But now that the market is bullish, why would someone ask about the possibility of a crash? What’s the catch, dude?

If you’re scared, just sell and take your profit. If not, just keep holding because this bull run might last through the whole of 2025.

Crashes and corrections are part of the nature of the market, but in the long run they are more predictable, so if you can hold Bitcoin for more than a year, do not sell now.

Some factors that may lead to a correction:

- Regulations or legislation that are not friendly to Bitcoin.
- Increase in interest rates or the outbreak of an economic war.
- Government or any entity selling large amounts of Bitcoin.
- Massive FUD.

Asking something like this equates to me looking into a crystal ball and telling you the answer.
Fact is, if we could predict it, we'd be multimillionaires right now. But we aren't.

In theory, i'm hoping the market will still go up a bit, but.... As history has taught us, takes only 1 Elon Musk to say "DOGE" on X, and it can go either way

1. Market could crash or Market could soar, we don't know if their perception will change since we ain't them.
What I Do know is Bitcoin corrects not crash.

2. That's up to you, nobody should advice you on this. You started investing knowing the risk.
Personally I'm holding since I understand the potential of what I'm holding.

Not an advice, research if your portfolios are worth holding even if a Big correction takes place.
