I’m really glad that Satoshi refuses to reveal his true identity. I really don’t see any positives that can come from it. Any way, thanks for the link though, I will give it a watch tonight when I am not so busy.
so true, if he/she reveals his/her identity then bad things will continue to happen to him and that was already in his/her prediction before launching Bitcoin. satoshi that keeps hiding is good for Bitcoin.

Today's a Fool's day, and I must say I thought the video would at least be somehow about Satoshi or potential candidates, so you got me, op.
As for Satoshi, I agree with others that it's better this way, with the identity of Satoshi unknown. After all, all people have their flaws, and Satoshi's flaws would make some turn away from Bitcoin because of the beliefs of this person not aligning with beliefs of someone else. Also, Satoshi's opinion about further direction of BTC development would have had big impact, and this is not very pro-decentralization.

I agree, after they've revealed his identity everything starts to make sense. I watched the video and think it's brilliant. Much better than that crap about Dorian Nakamoto.
I also think putting him on public display is for the better. Now everybody who has something to say to him will have a chance and he will no longer be able to avoid the IRS. All those years of making money on the side - gone, all the years of spreading false hope of decentralized money - gone. Not to spoil anything to anyone but I also thought CSW was the real deal. He worked so hard to be recognized and now his time has finally come.

Satoshi Nakamoto didn't need to reveal who he was to the public because it would endanger him. After all, other parties would want to look for him for further questioning. So instead of him being asked various questions by many parties, he should stay hidden and work on other projects. But I also don't really want to find out who Satoshi Nakamoto is because that's his right. Besides that, I think we should let him to stay anonymous without anyone knows.

Why would he reveal his identity? Or why would they reveal their identity? What could be the impact? Nope the video doesn't answer that!

There is no impact at all if Satoshi's identity is revealed. Enforcement agencies around the world are hounding for this person. So he must keep his identity secret. I won't be surprised if later we found out that this Craig fellow cas3 is actually a staged event by FBI!

No positives, only negatives. They would be heavily scrutinised by those that oppose Bitcoin, and I wouldn't put it past certain organisations to start pinning fake stories on Satoshi trying to undermine the integrity of Bitcoin. While, we all know that Bitcoin isn't really owned by anyone, and therefore the reputation of Satoshi in theory doesn't matter, it definitely does matter for adoption. This is going to be an extreme example, but if Satoshi was a particularly heinous criminal, then you just know the media would run with that, and people would be reluctant to start using or accepting a currency that was created by someone with such heinous crimes.

Obviously, I'm not suggesting that is the case, and really it probably wouldn't have to be for the propaganda machine to start spinning.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
Clicked the link and it seems that we still don't know who Satoshi Nakamoto is which kinda frustrating if you will ask me Cheesy.
Anyway, it is what it is. Satoshi doesn't wanna reveal himself/herself/themselves so... lets just accept it.
First glance at the title and the first thing that came to my mind is the Eminem song "Real Slim Shady" because the lyrics is the same Cheesy.

I always thought that his identity did not mater. By the contrary, it would ever make things worse for everyone and the ecosystem as a whole.
But somehow they managed to put everything in perspective and everything makes sense now !
