I think it would be great for Amazon to have its own coin, or partner with a company like PayPal to move to a more decentralized infrastructure. 51.7% isn't an overwhelming majority by any means but its interesting to know that (assuming this poll was accurate, no bias) half of the people asked were interested. I also believe that if a company like Amazon would adopt and accept blockchain tech, main street users might become more enthusiastic about it as well.

Amazon have powerful system support by expert team and have huge money, nothing impossible even I believe Amazon not interesting with crypto. I heard this company has issue right now and must find solution before too late, if I'm not wrong about fake buyer to increase seller product preview. I think this is a bad news, because it will be a competitor to bitcoin, Amazon is a big company that accepts payments through online, so the chances of bitcoin to be accepted by amazon as payment for their product will go back to zero if they would create their own currency. Amazon coins would not be fully sucessful compared to btc because their company was centralized..

I don't think it will compete Bitcoin from any possible corner, I guess it will be another crypto that would get much more popular than other altcoins for Amazon's backup. but Bitcoin will remain the god of cryptos.

That really sounds impossible. I'm pretty sure that Amazon will not taking the risk of building their own crypto currency that will affect their credibility and service level in terms of online shopping. I read that, and I don't know. That would be a huge hit for them, so who knows. They are aware of the crypto mania, and people are ready to jump on anything that has a blockchain behind it, and there is a huge hype around the blockchain revolution. So if a big name like amazon, or facebook decide to create their own coin, everyone will go crazy about it, because they have the technology hype, backed by a trusted company, so it will be huge and it would give them a lot of profit.

I actually think Amazon has the clout necessary to pull off such a thing on a wide scale, perhaps not as their sole payment system, but definitely as an accessory system, such as a replacement for their gift card and gift balance system. I think if Amazon really creates its cryptocurrency, then this will be one of the most successful projects of all time.

Small sample size, essentially meaningless poll taken. Just because they create a crypto won't make it successful. I personally hate all centralized coins and if they come out with one I will hate it, unless they find a way to make it fair, decentralized, and secure.

Well, I think that Amazon liked the resonance gained with Refereum (with Twitch) and now is thinking about its own coin. The way I see it, Amazon creating their own cryptocurrency would be worthwhile if it surpasses the amazon ecosystem, creating a global coin rather than a token, and using its tremendous user base and infrastructure as a kick-off for it.

I am not sure about a token of their own used only within the Amazon system. What Amazon want´s is to sell and therefore the more currency options available to the user the easier, having nevertheless to tackle price fluctuation in a serious manner so that products are not purchased cheaper in one currency than another.

as a US based company, I'm not sure that would happen anytime soon even if they were interested. SEC is a very dangerous opponent, you don't want to make mistakes, especially when it comes to companies like amazon

I think Amazon will soon pay the order by bitcoin. I think they are in the stage of thinking about accepting bitcoin for payment. Will be very convenient for the payment of items with customers. Customers will not need to spend time converting coins to pay bills. And that will attract more consumers shopping on amazon.

Yes you had a point but the latest news I heard and saw in social medias that amazon pay had some rumors partnership with UTRUST a.k.a UTK. Well this is not for sure or final announcement but if this one really confirms UTRUST will go to the moon easily.

All of these speculations would be just FUDs if there are no confirmation about these from these big companies,it is started with the TON now its amazon and uber? these news are being used by these scammers to solicit money from those noob investors that doesnt know anything or has no idea what they are into,no official confirmation = expect nothing.

I actually believe a cryptocurrency token would make a lot of sense for amazon and would have a lot of synergy with their platform, however Jeff Bezos does not seem to be very supportive of doing something like this at this stage however this may change in time.
