As I understand for now no, it will not be possible to pay directly in BTC yet.
But as I see it, they will implement new system which will convert fiat to BTC after what you can pay with it, but it will come not soon.

I just said they threw cold water at the idea lol, meaning they said not at the moment... Still though, the question remains... If they were to do so, would you use your own crypto savings for coffee? Lot of people are just HODLing at the moment so

If it's real, this becomes a breakthrough from the blockchain system. I have read about articles that can pay for coffee using btc, but in my country, I can't.

Starbucks just threw cold water into this amazing idea, but not all is lost.... a US State will use blockchain tech for the midterm elections: https://cryptocoin.news/videos/bitcoin-this-week-us-state-to-use-blockchain-for-elections-starbucks-stand-on-bitcoin-and-more-19032/

Would you actually use your crypto to pay for coffee anyway?
Is this true? I have seen the news that has stated about the starbuck news to accept bitcoin as a payment system was a fake news. I think that you need to get the reliable data to created a clarification regarding that news.
It will be very important thing before try to post anything about that.
