I'd be interested in buying some. I've been looking to invest some money in bitcoin companies or buy some shares in them.

What are cryptoshares? Any info on this?
keen to know as well! I will buy as well!

There's a link above or just google it.

Yeah! Them bastards! Soon, Overstock will be accepting p2p money in lieu of fiat. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if those fuckers issue their own Overstock Coin (OSC), used as a rewards program for those who opt to pay with Bitcoin, et al.
A Colored Coin, of course.

Here one of a hundred articles on the subject: http://www.wired.com/2014/07/overstock-and-cryptocurrency/

More like a publicity stunt than anything else. They need to comply with SEC before doing something this drastic.

Yeah there seems to be no logical reason for it

If overstock issues crypto shares, it will be the first company in the world to issue shares in blockchain..

will you buy it just to participate in this historic moment?

Why not? It seems like a cool idea, its been discussed a few times here in the past. Some members have even theorized this type of exchange, it would be nice to see something like this.

I always think back to when my Grandfather told me about having the opportunity to buy shares in General Electric from a door-door salesman many many years ago, he told me he just sent the salesman on his merry way.

The dawn of an age where anyone anywhere in the world can buy shares of a company/project even with very less money and no middle men.
