Ofcourse I will save some of my bitcoin for the futures, for how much not yet known, for me withdraw when you need it for any emergency use, so is not about how long you will keep the bitcoin but how much you will use the bitcoin, and how much you will keep, maybe I will kept for about more than 60% for any emergency use and children education and so many needs beside that. I believe the bitcoin will growth and make any man can change their destiny.

Without question. Although it’s no secret that the value of Bitcoin is extremely volatile and unpredictable, it is still more valuable to hold on to for the long run. It’s considered a store of value because there is a finite amount of coins. That's why the awareness and users of bitcoin are growing compoundly, thus increasing demands, which in turn will increase its price.

A volatile asset such as Bitcoin can never become a store of value. If you are looking to store your wealth, then there are better options such as United States treasury bonds and bullion coins (especially gold). Bitcoin can never serve this purpose.

Bitcoin will become an integral part of the world economy, and if you want to participate in the future you have to have BTC is part of your portfolio.

We all have the opportunity to help develop the future tech by supporting it. Why do you want to run a node if you do not get paid? To support the tech, and strengthen the crypto ecosystem.

Bitcoin will be the "fiat blackhole", bitcoin is going to suck-up fait like we will not believe.  I support the strongest currency - and that is?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh BITCOIN

Just my thoughts

I think right now everybody saves their Bitcoins for the future, because the price went down compared to the last year and there are many who think it will increase in 2018. I wonder if people will be still keeping their Bitcoins for the future if it reaches to 20,000 dollars in the middle of 2018.

i think investing in BTC will be  a good  business , but  dont think that it will be arround '' huge'' numbers, if it will keep on going and  fully become a coin and enter the global market , probably will be the top curency considering that is easy to manipulate in all the way u can think , i hope it will not end up  in just beeing ''cracked'' ! I first started collecting Bitcoins in late 2013 or early 2014. I have no idea how many coins I have earned till now, but I can tell you that I sold the vast majority of my coins for fiat cash. Now I regret about that decision, as back then the prices were quite low.

I am new to bitcoin world, and i have done survey about the past of bitcoin, and shocked to see how bitcoin grew its value. It was 0.01$ for 1 btc in 2010 and now it is 380$ and still increasing day by day...
And , Wall Street Analyst writes, "Bitcoin price could reach 98.5k $".
So will you save btc for future or not.. If yes, then for how many years??
if they will give me a chance to be one of them then i will always be on bitcoin anytime,i would be rather earn more a lot of bitcoin now so that i could reach my goal i know someday i will be one of them an instant millionaire, because here in bitcoin we have a future, thank you bitcoin.

If the price of btc that time was 380usd, then you probably have an answer to your question by now. Price is playing around 10k and have touched 20k last december. I can imagine how much you've earned already at this time if you stuck to your btcs Cheesy

I will definitely save some of my bitcoins for the future, If it does well as I expect it
to be in the upcoming months and years it would definitely be a profitable investment.
But it would also be smart to buy and hold altcoins for long term investments, both I
believe will be potentially lucrative and a better personal strategy . Even if bitcoin are
going red and decreasing in value I would still hold and save them for the future,
everything requires patience in this industry. Hopefully we all can profit much and
truly benefit from it, so we can enjoy and improve our lives.

As with anything I do investment wise, I always trade and make moves as necessary but I always leave 10% in that investment.  Sometimes I win sometimes I lose.  But is it always to see something you are holding growing in leaps and bounds.  I will save 10% of any Bitcoin i buy no matter what.

Yes definitely but I'll make sure that I have also save real money from the bitcoin. I will risk my coins and wait till it became high in value. Patience is a virtue, yes. I will always anticipate positive things and in that sense, I will see my bitcoin in the future with high value. So I should now start earning one for me to do the thing I've said.

Finding the ideal balance between selling and holding is quite hard. Due to the extreme-volatility associated with Bitcoin, no one can predict its future. So we are not sure whether it will go up or down in the next 2-3 years. I am holding a part of my coins for the long-term, and at the same time I am doing regular profit booking with my remaining stash.

It is related with what you mean with future. Is it near future or distant future? If you are interested in bitcoin world and generally follow movements of bitcoin price, you can save your coins for near future. But if you say that you will save for 20 years, I can not give you a guarantee.

I myself will HODL my bitcoins till kingdom come or i kick the bucket. This is my nest egg for my retirement. After i retire then i will withdraw my coins and jist enjoy the last years of my life with my partner and travel the world. Of course insurances are there just in case this next egg don't work out but i have contingency plans for my coins too. I still believe these coins will increase it's value as we get to know it and basically use it worldwide

While it is wise to save your Bitcoin for the future, it is also important to note the rise and fall of Bitcoin's value. Since the accuracy of it is hard to guess, we won't know it's value in the future so it is also a bit risky.

In the current situation of bitcoin , I would want to hodl still. I still believe that bitcoin will rise up soon and will let us reach our desired amount. I'm very willing to wait patiently and gain better in the future. Bitcoin is volatile and panic is not a solution in this kind of situation.

I would save some. I think there is a possibility that it is not actually going down in price. It may as time passes by become high valued as it is now making its way on company transactions and probably in time will be used in small market transactions like in purchasing in fastfood chains and other related stores.

Bitcoin provides many unique features that the world is just starting to get a taste of, and will soon come to expect in all other currencies. Here’s a list of just 30 ways Bitcoin innovations are changing the way people will see, and use, money from now on.

Bitcoin has been a controversial topic ever since it first rose to prominence about five years ago. Created by an unknown entity referred to as “Satoshi Nakamoto,” nobody knows for certain how or why the cryptocurrency came to be – it’s also very misunderstood.

The concept of anonymity is what first attracted people from all over the world to adopt Bitcoin as a form of payment. Many users believed their transactions couldn’t be traced and resulted in Bitcoin becoming the go-to payment method for tech-savvy criminals.

Black markets, money laundering, Ponzi schemes, and other illegal activities have all been linked to Bitcoin. And criminal activity involving Bitcoin is not going away anytime soon.

Saving or holding should be given preference as the bitcoin price will increase and acceptance in most sectors will also be increased. As suggested saving won't hurt at any instance.

And this can be very profitable for them and for early adopters..

Save, save, save.
I think bitcoin will only go up. (fingers crossed)  :p
I don't think we'll crash back to 180 a coin again. Market has been fairly stable lately.
It'll should go up in price after halving but again it's a "market" so in the end unpredictable.
I'm saving for a big payday!
And oh yeah can't forget the Lamborghini.
If I save long enough.... One day (:

Cheers

I am new to bitcoin world, and i have done survey about the past of bitcoin, and shocked to see how bitcoin grew its value. It was 0.01$ for 1 btc in 2010 and now it is 380$ and still increasing day by day...
And , Wall Street Analyst writes, "Bitcoin price could reach 98.5k $".
So will you save btc for future or not.. If yes, then for how many years??
I think I'm not gonna save it because the price is high enough now, even halving is coming, but we still don't know what halving will bring, high price or down price. so I just sell my bitcoin when I get it.

modern technology and if everything can buy through in the internet well bitcoin user will

Hmmm maybe yes. Cause many rich people and corporations adopt bitcoin as their mode of payment and it will be boomed like what in prediction said. Price of bitcoin is increasing and it could go higher by months years or even on decades.  Grin Grin

Yes this is true.
Maybe those industry giants can create tokens for themselves..
And this can be very profitable for them and for early adopters..

Yes, i want to save for my children so in a near future they can be wealthy thanks to me, at least i hope this Smiley
Don't you think it would be too long to save them for your children... Let's just enjoy life and earn and spend what we have..
However saving half of the earned money is what I thought of doing. ..
In case, if the btc price will fall, we will regret....

Its a good question. The price of bitcoin is hard to predict. One month the price is moving up 100$, another month its moving 100$ down. In 2010 almost nobody heard about bitcoin. If the consensus increases you may find a higher price.

In fact yes, but in the meantime you need to invest and do something with your BTC. So invest in ICOs like IOTA or Lisk or have a lending account at Poloniex to gain interest on Bitcoin.

No. I collect bitcoin from faucets (I got some referals) and I earn satoshis posting pictures too. Then, I sell all my satoshis every 15 days.

I am saving bitcoin for the future, but I'm not married to it.  If it ever becomes apparent that it won't survive, I have no trouble selling it.  I would disagree with what you wrote about bitcoin "increasing day by day" because it isn't really doing that.  We had a huge boom in 2013 and it's been climbing back up in fits and starts, but who knows where it's going.

Be careful reading financial news--a lot of it is garbage in my opinion, and pretty much all of it has an agenda behind it, which is to keep you reading at whatever cost.  Be skeptical of things.

I am planning on saving my coins, as much as possible, until the time I get most/all of my income in BTC, and have avenues to spend them on daily goods (which unfortunately, I don't have, around here) - how long would that be? I don't know, or care; I'll hold until then. However, I might stop (or eventually be forced to stop) doing so if I believe there is evidence of a major flaw with Bitcoin - I might have to jump ship to some (not copy-pasted) alt at that point. I keep them for the 'long' future.
I have plenty of time.
I think (hope) that one day we will hit again above 1000 dollar.
That can still take years, but i am  a believer.

i also keep bitcoin in my wallet, i'm not expect to reach 100k, but in 5-10 year to reach 6000-7000$ is also very good
