check for ripple in your power supply...

That error... makes me think to check there first.  Look for bad capacitors all over the system... any wetting/greasyness of the board is a sign of electrolyte leakage...

You say frequent power outages;  that means frequent current spikes....  the first thing to take the most of it is the power supply...   I have seen PSU issues diagnosed as memory issues commonly in the past.

I have a B250D8P machine that is running solely on windows 10.  Never has shotdown/bootup hiccups at all...  not once.... so there has to be a hardware or software config issue.

Typical diagnostic procedures for PC's comes in at this point, but i'm not gonna hold your hand through that one... sorry.

damn, people are becoming miners without knowing the very basics of it Cheesy
same old i guess Tongue

disable automatic repair, its in your boot registry
easy way, run this as admin:
Code:
bcdedit /set {current} recoveryenabled no

that happens anytime your PC crashes too much, its a normal screen to see

I'm actually looking for this let see if it will work for me.

Even I'm mining for a long time I didn't know this thing I was already asked this many times here on the forum but no one answering me about this issue.
I always end up using the recovery and reset the OS the PC will go back as a fresh install OS but the files still on HDD like wallet file and save logs for my mining rigs which is important to me to get the history what I mine recently.

Anyway, I didn't experience this again after I set the bios to auto on once the rig is accidentally shut off from the socket or if the electricity gone and come online.

if i hit ESC and restart windows. no problem. Windows start and run well. This problem hapanes sometimes if the electric goes and come again.

did you disable automatic repair?
after doing it just switch off the rig directly and see if it skips automatic repair after you start the system again

How often do you have power outages in your place? if it is fairly common like a few times a week then you should invest in some low-end type of Power backup UPS system.

Reason why is because getting a corrupt hard drive is the least of your worries you might end up damaging your GPUs if it happens frequently with power going on and off. I don't know what type of PSU you have, maybe if its high-end it might protect you but I would just get a UPS system. And get one that can send a signal to your PC that when there is a power failure to send a command to auto-shutdown.

With the photo above, just hit ESC and continue with recovery as usual.

If your rig has frequent power outages system file corruption may occur ...

tried the recovery option?

If recovery doesn't work ...

1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."

Is this a dedicated mining rig where you got like 6 GPUs and you got nothing plugged in except an Ethernet cable and a power cable? Basically completely headless setup with no monitor, keyboard and mouse? If so do what the guy suggested above because it's going to drive you nuts every time that you don't do a successful shutdown. That screen will pop up and it will freeze your rig and you won't know what is going on since you have no monitor attached.

If you don't want to disable it then at least learn the keyboard commands to bypass the start up repair by memory. I think you can do something like TAB Space Space Enter and it'll ignore it and load Windows, however you should just disable it because you will run into issues.

If it's a personal PC then you can just manually skip it, it happens whenever your GPUs crash and it tries to fix any errors if present. Usually if loads the default drives from a previous state.

It's a failsafe from Windows itself in the event if the device is not shut down properly.

I know it can cause issues in a headless mining rig as it won't boot directly to the desktop until a manual input is provided by the user.

Anyway, you can disable this by following these steps in this post: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-automatic-repair-windows-10

I see this screen when i restart windows or the electricity is gone and come back.
the windows runs well if i click restart button.
the windows runs well if i click advanced options button and select continue the windows.

i resinstall the windows. But it s not fixed. Do you have any idea ?
it is important because it s a mining rig.
