It's all about the game, and how you play it
the effect of shutting down services is going to be minimal (think .01% or less) since most of them are "waiting" to be required if they're running and using resources it's because you need them (the bluetooth is running because you have bluetooth hardware) the handful you can disable aren't going to gain you any in the way of mhash/sec that won't come back to frustrate you later if you plan on using the pc for anything else

Neat, I never really thought about the bandwidth cost of Bitcoin. Are there any resources you could point me to that shed a little more light on this information?

Had to split this in 2 images -.-

As soon as I took the first picture, the bandwidth went to 120kb/s for 5-10 seconds and then dropped to 1-2kb/s

The math in the first picture was based on the average of 12kb/s

Please make sure that you know what you are doing before you start disabling random services.
These services don't need much CPU or RAM anyway.

Has anyone compiled a list of minimal services needed to run a dedicated (remote) miner on Windows 7 64-bit?

TIA!
