Your wallet.dat is what contains your BTC. If it gets lost/corrupt then there's no way to get it back. If you have a backup of your wallet from before the money was sent, then there's nothing you can do. The network already verified the transaction and it won't send it again because it isn't in your wallet. The only thing I can recommend is seeing if you can contact someone who knows how the wallet.dat file is formed and see if there's a way to validate it or fix it.

At the very least, you didn't lose much. I've read about people losing many, many more BTC, but this was before the value was this high.

Well before it went A-wall ... i was waiting to receive some coins but yeah i did and i tried a different backup and it works. Well Now i got to wait for my account balance to change.   This site http://blockexplorer.com/address/17Z6R9k9yjZsTC4QoN6hMGLFvXyyjc4t5t Says i got 0.06 but my wallet always said 0.00 since the first day i claimed my 0.02 bitcoins.

Did you have any coins in it? What were you doing before it was corrupt?

It seems to be my wallet file... if i remove it from the folder and run bitcoins it runs no problem. =(  so does that mean i cannot ever open my wallet again?

Yeah, seems like it can't find the DB from that Bitcoin folder, I'd uninstall it and reinstall it and give it a whirl. I'm running 64bit Win7 as well and the program works fine.

I don't know if you read the file name but it says win32-setup.exe . So i assume 64bit is not yet supported. Still going to have the issues but before i post this message i am going to download and try it out. Yeah now it doesn't run at all. I get 3 errors now just from opening the program. Before i got errors only when trying to generate bitcoins or changing my settings.

After clicking okay or close another error would pop up.

Try updating to 0.3.22. Also, make a copy of your %AppData%\Bitcoin\wallet.dat file and then erase the directory and try again.

Hello. I have bitcoins client 0.3.21 and whenever i got to click generate coins i get an error "this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"   If i go to options and save my new settings i also get an error and in the end bitcoins decides to close.  I would really like to be able to use bitcoins on my PC.
