I use my PC for mining with a 5970, it's not a dedicated rig so I'm fairly conservative with aggression and pull in about 600 Mhash while using it for other stuff, if I watch a cap of a TV program it drops to about 580 while being watchable which is fine. However if I watch live TV using Windows Media Center it drops to around 250 and I can't think of a reason it would be so much different, so assume it's something related to how WMC renders the video, possibly even using extra hardware acceleration which would normally be a good thing.

Anyway I wondered if anyone had experienced the same and knows of either any tweaks that can be made to WMC or other software worth a try? I use Win 7 x64 and while the drivers are x64 compatible the alternative software provided for a DigitalNow TinyTwin tuner recommends not using it under Win 7 x64.
