I will probably just limp along on what I have. I have been downsizing all my junk anyway. I just don't need the massive 8 processor servers, racks, and various towers, piles of parts around, etc. I think I will try to focus on only using modern technology, and keeping a bare minimum of older parts around for repair for small-time repair jobs.
I use linux quite a bit but sometimes its nice to just have a clean windows environment without the pains of using a free operating system all the time.

Well two things:
1) Microsoft provides MD5 hashes for all their ISOs. While I don't condone piracy it is possible to use cryptography to verify that any ISO (obtained from anywhere) is bit for bit identical to the official release. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290
2) If you are serious form a company and apply to Microsoft Bizspark program. All the software you could possibly need for three years (including perpetual licenses and buyout option).

Well deathandtaxes, I tend to try to use clean isos for OS installs. Using a student disk and key is less more bad then a torrent install in my opinion. I think a lot of people would be with me on that.

Legally there is no difference between paying for a fraudulently license or just pirating the software for free.
