Am I boned? I just read that AMD stopped OpenCL support on windows XP on their 2.6 SDK drivers and also that Litecoin mining requires 2.6 SDK or higher so that leaves me with SDK 2.5.  Is this true?   I would much appreciate it if anyone might address this pickle I'm in.

I'm running Windows XP 32bit an xfx HD 5870 and can't seem to get mining LTC. I've successfully mined BTC but LTC is being a little bitch.

If anyone has been successfully mining LTC on windows XP 32 bit please let me know how!

Catalyst 11.12 is the last driver version that adds OpenCL to WinXP. I was using it with HD 5770 on both SHA and scrypt coins with no issues.

Thanks I'll give it a try tonight....Not looking foward to the diver removal process though!

That fixed it! I'm only hashing at 280 though..I'll try some alternate configure files tonight to see if I can get the hash rate anywhere near 400 where BTC was able to mine.  Thanks for the help

How about you just save the $$$ and install Linux?  Ubuntu is a good start if you're a beginner.
