Hi guys, few days ago i registered and deposit bitcoin on WinPoker. I read carefully every rules in their site first first to make the deposit.
Nowhere there was written that i have to send my ID/Address proof to them. I used bitcoin exactly for this reason.
So i deposit and play..i win about 10x my starting money. When i did the witdrawal after 2 days they answer me i have to send ID and Address proof.
How it's possible? I have just lost my money?

Hi, minewithmind!

Thanks for your post. James from WinPoker here.

I'm sorry you've not yet had a positive experience with us.

Due to the terms of our gaming licence, we have to follow strict AML guidelines. As your account is credited with USD or EUR at the time you send us bitcoin, there is a transaction with fiat currency and therefore we need to properly KYC all players.

Similarly, to protect our players from prevent fraud and collusion, we must perform a poker check before processing each withdrawals. This is to ensure no players have been cheated nor chips dumped.

Unfortunately, at the moment we cannot offer pure bitcoin-only gaming, and we are required to know the identities of all of our players.

If you would like a refund, please send an email to [email protected] and we will process your refund to your bitcoin account immediately.

Best regards,
James

Hmmm. Yeah, usually when you're requesting for a check or another similar method will they will require id verification. But I don't understand why you would need to do so for bitcoin!? Thats the whole point using btc lol, idk maybe they're required to verify all cash outs for tax purposes, not sure!  Huh

Yes, you can withdraw in Bitcoin if you deposit via Bitcoin. Sealsclub is pretty cool but a little too unsafe imho. They call themself the wild west poker  Grin
Btw usually poker room ask identity verification when you deposit with credit card or other similar for fraud prevention..But what's the problem with bitcoin?

Do they allow cash out via bitcoin? I know most mainstream poker sites require identity verification for withdrawals, but that shouldn't be if the cash out is being done by bitcoin. Try sealswithclubs.eu for totally anonymous deposits and withdrawals all done via bitcoin.
