We see what happened during the last halving and this will wake the bulls but the price that OP is asking was just too much for ethereum. And your correct before seeing that, bitcoin needs to push first before anything else because alts are just going with the flow as bitcoin goes.

The opinion that only when the BTC increase the ETH can increase the exchange rate is wholly unreasonable and not convincing. The price of cryptos increased completely due to the supply and demand of the market, not affected by the remaining cryptos.

The market is unpredictable and same with the price of ethereum. Only time could tell if your prediction will come true or not as we are still in a bearish trend with no sign of a good rally. We are all waiting for the bull run but it seems we can't have it this year. Be patient we can have it soon.

In order for Ethereum to make your cherished x10, it is accordingly necessary that Bitcoin also make at least an increase in x5. Today it is more than unreal. Therefore, we hope to at least a growth of 50%.

On this base of current situation of market, it seems very difficult for ETH to reach at 2000$ because ETH was not able to maintain 400$ to 600$ due to market crisis. But it does not mean that it cannot do this. BTC and ETH are the favourite coins for every crypto lover. In case of token I like LOC and RKT.

Im not sure on where did you get that idea but I think eth won't reach $2000 by january. I don't see some signs that it would go $2000 but who knows, no one can predict on when will the market recover. In the end, everybody will be happy if eth will reach $2000.

There is no wrong if i could believe in your hopes, 2000usd in ETH by year 2019 is still achievable but it takes a lot of hardwork and prayer, but if the market recovers and bullrun will happen, i am hoping that CS and MOZOX would soar, and i am hoping for that.

I think we can be sure to that pricing. It's far from its price now and based on technical analysis, the level cannot move faster than we expect even you check the volume of each exchange. If miracle happens then it possible. But no one knows, this market is very unstable.

don't be so hopeful for a very high price for a start. it would be great to see ETH prices above $ 400 at the beginning of 2019. not unbelieving, but I think hoping the prices are so great, can make a big disappointment in the future.

I think we need to be realistic when it time of making future prediction of the crypto currency market cause we both know that for ETH to gain $1800 in almost 3months is in possible then why make false prediction? Yes, crypto currency market is volatile but not to the extent of making the said by the OP and the last time I check ETH are yet to implement the Casper and sharding even if ETH will pump so much it bullish still lies on Casper and sharding which the team promised.

I really cannot see why there are so many people around here who are saying like "ETH 2000USD in 2019 January", "ETH 1500USD in 2019 January" the reality is that a lot of people (who had this thought when buying their ETH bags) will be disappointed when this will not happen.

To begin with, the volumes and capitalization of the market as a whole will not grow - we will not see growth (which is logical for me). With regards to trends, if you look closely at the graph even of that Bitcoin, then you can see that in January 2015 there was the same growth as in January 2017, and then there was a side trend, where the volatility was not that big and in December-January growth as such it was not. I myself think the same this year and next.

ETH won't go to $2000 in Jan of 2019, probably not even in the whole of 2019. It's unlikely we'll have a bull run like 2017 for some time. If ETH can even return to 4 figures in 2019 that would be a fantastic revival for ETH and probably for the whole market. I think many coins can outperform ETH, I'm very bullish on EOS going on to be the no 1 ICO platform.

I used to be a big supporter of ETH. but since they dropped the ball on ASIC's being able to mine ETH, them being really slow and lazy on any protocol updates or information to the public. Vitalik having a stick up his ass (pardon my language) people are really starting to look at ETH as something that could of been great but faded away due to lack of drive, passion etc or whatever.

I was always rooting for ETH. but since July, the whole project is looking like something that got too much media hype.

Have you got this info from a trusted person. I don't think so. Even ETH reach up to $200- $400 is it possible $2000 in Jan..? Within 2 months.. I know that many things can happen during that period in the Market. But according the fluctuation of ETH I don't think that it will reach to $2000.

You should not listen to the other traders. They are the ones who give out inaccurate information and they just blindly predict us. If you listen to their words and invest blindly, you will surely fail. I recommend investing in ETH but set a low profit target. Just put $ 400. That's a reasonable number.

They say ETH will go to $ 2,000 in January because they are ETH holders and $ 2,000 is not their prediction, I think that is their hope, holders will tend to expect Bullrun as soon as possible and target high prices for their coins, nothing is impossible but I'm pessimistic for that because so far the market has not shown a sign for Bullrun

It is very unlikely to happen but of course it has a possibility to reach that level.
the reason why it is very unlikely to happen because of the users and ETH's smart contract, a lot of projects were created based on ETH network which means ETH's network decide their lives. if network is dying, they can no longer send their token and they do not wish it to happen.
and i believe the network will die as long as ETH reachs that level, the miners will take their leave because it is way too cheap to cover up their expenses.

May be 300-400$ in January 2019. 2000$ is a dream far too far for ETH to reach 2000$ in the next three years and certainly not be able to happen in 2019.Even now ETH can not go up to 250$ when we have a strong recovery waiting in mid October

I can't imagine that ethereum can go to 2000 $, ethereum prices are now cheap, only 200 $, I'm sure if Constantinople Hardfork and CBOE ethereum futures contract launching then prices would rise high for ethereum

I doubt if ethereum will be able to get to $2,000 by January looking at it current performance. Currently, ethereum is strongly to remain above $200 and we have just 3 months to the end of January. I think there should be a reason why you think it is going to go as high as $2,000 in January next year. The winter has been the time when cryptocurrencies pump in price but most times we have reasons why that happened.

well in my opinion 2k value of ETH in January 2019 is very impossible to reach . Because even nowadays ETH still floating and there's no progress since the value collapse . Which is in my view probably there's a tends only unless if eth growth rate start to increase now and make a high jump before year end .

There is still no evidence of this increase and I think we will wait long before the ETH can reach $ 2,000. If you want to invest now, this is a very good time but I think it will only reach the highest of $ 800 in 2019 and do not put too much faith in ETH because it will disappoint you very much.

I don't see ETH at 2,000$.
800-900$ EOY, but not 2k on January, sorry holders.
But if all market will go to the new ATH, it can hit 1600-1800 i think.
So, i hope i am wrong, and guys who predicted ETH by 200 this week - too.
