@examplens

-The domain has nothing on it because this project is in a purely conceptual stage.
-I don’t really know how else to explain what I’m trying to do here.

Make social network that requires a balance of 1000 sats to be active on.
The sats are subsequently used to facilitate public actions.

Thank you so much for your feedback, though. Perhaps I need to do some revising of the description of Network Bin.

@SFR10

Thanks for your feedback.

     You made a great point when you bring up reasons for not breaking habitual use of existing social network sites. Or rather, habitually using one more than others. The top social media sites out there have done a fantastic job at keeping us in their ecosystem. This is especially true for things like WeChat in china. Meta owns all of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp just to name a few.

     Network Bin has no intention of being the next big thing, it's a small seed that I want to plant and take good care of over a long time. If two people were to use it, then I would be a satisfied and see time well spent in my eyes. My first instinct would be to target people who use social media, but do not know about bitcoin. For example, my first ever experience in bitcoin was through a faucet site. For some, their first experience is when they happen upon an exchange, mobile application, or yield platform. The process of creating a Network Bin account will directly involve the creation of a wallet, writing down private keys on paper, and depositing into that wallet.  When I went through these processes during my first experience on that faucet site, I slowly started to comprehend fundamentals that were once confusing to me.

     Furthermore, I believe that social media websites have lost something that made them special over the years. It's one of the reasons I genuinely fell in love with this forum. I'm a sucker for old-school looking internet websites. When I first clicked onto the bitcointalk forum, everything was so plain looking and hit me all at once. As a matter of fact, I distinctively remember my eyeballs getting annoyed at what I was looking at on the screen. I realized that I was conditioned after so much use of the latest social media sites. Network Bin will attempt to have up-to-date social media features while maintaining a retro-style. There is definitely a target audience found within the love and nostalgia of 1990's-2000's internet, and an appreciation for a less-mainstream looking site that serves a popular function.

     Finally, I feel the word decentralized is just the wrong description of what I am trying to achieve. I suppose it's the wrong buzzword to use. I am familiar with open source p2p social networking software projects that allow for a decentralized social network. I mean, you can send bitcoin signed messages with bitcoin core software, which is a form on online networking if you exchange personal information through these messages. What I want for Network Bin is to prioritize user anonymity, privacy, and security. I want those options to be made easily accessible, configurable, and kept secure by us. These are standards that correlate to a refrigerator keeping the food inside cold; it's a given. Nevertheless, it's an excellent point to bring up, because I did consider the decentralized social network paradigm. The goals to make this platform friendly to the most general population directly conflict with adding the complexities of decentralization. Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok are all centralized, and billions trust them with their information. These companies frighten me because of how lax they are that there is so much clutter and fake human behavior.

I've read both of your posts and I'm still not sure I understand what your main goal is here.
launch a new social media network that will function like Facebook at the very beginning, with additional wallet options and payment for each action at the moment it really doesn't seem very promising to me. even if you are satisfied with any number of users. the question is how interesting it will be for users to spend time on a platform where there are only a few people.

btw. what's going on with your domain, you haven't set anything up on it yet?

What are your thoughts about a site like this existing? Would you use it?
Honestly, I'm not sure who can really be the target audience, but as someone who rarely uses any of the popular social media platforms, I couldn't find a reason to change that habit with the platform in question [perhaps I'm missing something... It's not a decentralized one, am I right?].

Do you like the UI, themes, and overall appearance of Network Bin? We would love to hear feedback.
I do know that the subject field says you were inspired by this forum, but this kind of style doesn't look very good for social networking platforms.
