This will hamper the bitcoin regulators to think now in other lines as well. Because since they demanded bitcoin now it is in news for bad reasons.
People have kidnapped and demanded money and if people are doing that what role does it have to the currency,nothing it is just an extortion amount and people are demanding it.You really do not ban the Indian rupee or dollar just because they are used for illegal activities.Ahh, free publicity for wipro and bad publicity for bitcoin indeed. Big companies get these kind of threats regularly. Interesting question is "does wipro have that much money in first place?"
Does Wipro have that much amount of money is not a question to be asked,if you have not heard about Wipro it is a billion dollar company with an annual revenue of $7.735 billion why should they fell for these extortion demands in the first place,the police have to catch the culprits rather than meeting the demands.
