What kind of project are you working on that requires you to have to be able to withdraw funds from an exchange in an automated fashion? I really cannot think of any legit reasons to need to do this

So withdrawals must be done manually then or is there any workaround? Our project is designed for complete automation. Thanks!

Yes, the only way is to do it manually.

From Bitfinex :

API keys are encrypted and not stored in our code or database. These keys provides only the right to get balances and buy and sell bitcoins. Withdrawal are handled on the website through our withdrawal box (which is isolated from the rest of our server network).

A friend of mine and I are doing a project where we need to withdraw bitcoins from the Bitfinex exchange to a desktop wallet using the API. However, according to the documentation, there doesn't seem to be a method of doing this. Can someone clarify?

Bitfinex does not allow withdrawals using their API.
