This is just a speculation made from the above link

According to me if this ever happens that year will be the last functioning year for twitter , if we see most ico currently don't have any place left where they can advertise theymos has banned ico ads , facebook , google and now even snapchat only Bing is there search engine which permits this but the exposure is nothing compared to the sites which have banned

What do you guys feel is this the move of major companies against ico , will ico die after they have no place left for advertising ?
Do you think twitter will be able to survive after this move as crypto surely places a important role in twitter from major announcements to stupid pumps by McAfee

I personally think that this ban will have no effect on Twitter as a whole. They also announced that the ban would be partial, meaning legitimate businesses would have the right to advertise their projects.
I also think ICOs are not likely to die after these bans. Simply the audience will be concentrated somewhere else.  Smiley Smiley

I think twitter will survive because they have already established their name as one of the top social media platform.  I understand why they wanted to ban ICO because in reality, 80% of ICOs are scams and they want to promote a "safe" environment online. Ironically, I joined in one, but this is a personal risk I am willing to take. In addition to it, ICOs have a widely negative reputation. That's why I am pro to regulating ICOs. Once this will be established, scams will be minimized and eventually, ico ads will be allowed on the said websites.

Just relax, because the crypto world is just in an infant stage and it is a new concept for the majority. Once it enters to a more mature stage, the fear about icos will be dissipated and it will be widely known on the internet.
I never pay attention to ads on Twitter, Facebook or Google. It seems to me that the advertising of the ICO should be only on specialized platforms. For example here. On this forum a lot of users and experts who can in time to warn everyone about the risk of any new project. Let this money go to specialists. Facebook has a problem right now with the safety of user data. Zuckerberg threatened with huge losses. I wonder how they will give up income for advertising.

I love technology.
Facebook
Google
Twitter
Snapchat

next Instagram?

I am not surprised with the ban of cryptocurrency related to ICO as it's probably hit their legal team in some aspects with the recent legality actions taken again content creators.

Nothing lasts forever
From what I have read from multiple sources, I do believe that the news should be true. Twitter will ban crypto related ads in the next few weeks. The ban on crypto ads is not because there is any fault with crypto but the scam ICOs. Most of the ICOs turn out to be scam or turn up into losses which is why many websites have started to ban it.
Coming to the survival of twitter, yes it will survive because it has been doing well in the past when crypto was not around. Besides that, twitter is banning crypto " ads " and not the tweets made from various people. So the advertisement of crypto and ICOs will continue on twitter through tweets and retweets. So I dont think there is anything to worry about.

Twitter will surely follow after facebook, google, and now snapchat banning ico ads. I guess the only place to advertise is to run a campaign on bitcointalk. There are other social media platforms like ONZ that are built from crypto so when they start to get popular they can advertise on the ONZ platform
