First of all, happy day to all those women fighters in search of progress. I managed to see a couple of publications of this type and there is no doubt that just as men can also women, today it is possible to detail women who move on these platforms, something that was not seen before, not because they did not have the capacity but rather because this issue is not so easy in some cases even for men. I really like that crypto assets reach the hands of people interested in this topic.

Bitcoin is for everyone.

It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. Bitcoin is for you independent of your race, sex, orientation, the country you live in, your political ideas, your height, your hopes and dreams, your ideologies, your number of limbs, your ambitions, your age, your social status, your clothes, your preference of pineapple on pizza, the way you pronounce gif, etc.

Mother's Day wishes to every mother in the forum. Very few number of mothers will be there around the forum. Slowly this needs to increase. As a beginning everyone try to teach mother's about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. If someone gets convinced make them invest and ask them to hold till the next Mother's Day. Surely this will make one's upcoming Mother's Day more valuable.

Mothers day wishes once more to the once know and the once unknown  Grin.
I don't need to call the names any further, hopefully you all have a great day. Do accept my warm wishes on this day!
It's okay to five them information about Bitcoin but don't force them.to invest.

First of all, I wish you a happy world women's day.
It's true, as you said, many women hide their identity in the crypto space and everything related to the virtual, usually many women play behind the scenes supporting men who are more willing to take risks, but participate in trading.
I personally feel very benefited by knowing crypto, I can help my husband in economic problems during this pandemic
thank you for bitcointalk and all friends for sharing knowledge in this forum

most women who don't like cryptocurrencies of course because cryptocurrency is very complex and not easy to learn. Some women are lazy to deepen their knowledge about crypto. But I know some women and they are also my friends, they are very active in crypto even as traders and as very reliable community managers. this proves that women also take part in developing cryptocurrencies.
I think it's really not as complicated as they think, Women like what is simple and light. For men we can sit for hours in front of the computer playing games, learning new things but women probably won't.
Yes. There are a lot of female crypto community managers that I have met, they are great. Crypto are always welcome to everyone.,so it would be great if more women are involved in the development of the crypto community.
Women used to get a solution in a much easier way than men, but they won't get into complex things. Another thing that strikes my mind, very few get passionate into technology and modern development. Majority used to shrink their lives within the family, which means taking care of kids and family. After taking care of all these responsibilities there are women who help making the community strong. I wholeheartedly bow head to greet every women.

The reason for gender differences can not be easily determined, it would have roots in the society and upbringing, but we generally have men and women aspiring to different things even in the most egalitarian societies.

But, while we cannot understand why more women are not into cryptocurrencies, we can celebrate the ones who are and make this niche area accommodating for the ones who would want to be entering later on.

Most women doesnt really like complicated things but i do disagree that crypto is really hard to  understand on which you could really learnt up the basics then you are good to go.
It is just women doesnt really like to waste up money into something that they arent sure off whether they do gonna deal with it or would simply skip out.So it do still  a matter of preference
and interest of a certain individual. It doesnt really matter on what would be your gender because not all would be having  the same mindset and impression when it comes
to things. So it would really vary out.

It's nice to celebrate International Women's Day!
Congratulations to all the women in bitcointalk!
I think more women are joining the crypto space.
As it is true, we do not know how much bitcoin women have but we know that they are also interested in being developers, trader, investors, advisor, nfts designers.
Today, while taking a look at my Twitter account, I realized that women also have their best creative designers.
It is clear that bitcoin allowed the path to freedom and society is demonstrating each use case.

Happy Women's Day to all (including myself).
I have seen before which is I forgot where it is, based on the statistic almost 50% of men's work can women do, and I didn't doubt crypto, especially those wives that who left always in their house and want to make money on crypto, especially during the pandemic time.  I have a lot of friends who I personally know that involved in trading.

In my opinion, it's absolutely fair to say that cryptocurrency is getting a lot more popular among women than ever before. This is because the industry is moving away from being perceived as a place for primarily men. I think the best example of that is the mainstream media attention bitcoin has received over the past few years.

Now that it's getting more mainstream attention, the amount of women involved in this space is growing significantly.
In fact, as crypto keeps hurtling into the mainstream, there are now diversity collectives that aim to transform the crypto community into something that represents a wider demographic. There are now groups of women building crypto-related products to fit more specific needs, and that means more diversity in the industry.

Personally, I love to see the rise of this diversity and know that it is only a matter of time before the crypto-environment becomes so diverse, that it will reflect the global population as a whole.

Women are a minority in crypto universe because they have aversion to risks, while men are usually prone to take risks and to explore new things most people are still unaware of or uninterested for. It's part of the nature of each gender, although of course there are exceptions, but that can't be used to invalidate the main rule anyway.

I think people shouldn't worry about bringing more of this or that kind of person to cryptocurrency. Every crypto adopters worth, doesn't matter their gender, race, class, religion, ethnicity, etc...

You can't proof this with numbers because we do not know that the person holding the bitcoin in wallets is male or female. As more people have become aware of bitcoin, girls and women are equally interested in crypto.
Every estimations point out women are minority in crypto universe. You don't see anyone around supporting the possibility women could be already majority or equally active dealing with cryptocurrency, because common sense shows the opposite.

And actually, there isn't any problem with this. Women aren't less than men just because they are minority in something. The problem nowadays is that everything has become a competition between genders for supremacy in a ridiculous attempt to show the society who is the best, while in fact, one can't live without another...

Crypto is no longer a men-only business. Every year, more and more women get jobs in this industry. And even more, women are showing interest in investing in bitcoin.

All this has happened in only 13 years, making crypto the industry where women's share has grown most rapidly.

Its hard to make an estimation for those women who are involved in crypto because most of them hide their identities for security reasons. We won't even know if some of us here are women who are already actively participating in signature campaigns. I guess crypto can bring more opportunities not only for men but equally for women too. As long as the interest to learn in crypto and the will to take the risk is there, then women can still be as capable like men. After all, women today are more flexible than before, and what men can do, women can also sustain doing that. Though there are exceptions when it comes to jobs that requires masculinity, but in some other careers women can certainly excel in that.

Winding down.
The theme for this year's International Women's Day is Break the barriers. Currently in my country women a taking more responsibility. We have seen women becoming cap drivers, mechanics, engineers, etc, these were jobs that were solely reserved for men.

I wish to encourage women to seek for knowledge. Their place is not in the kitchen or in child raising endeavor alone. And crypto businesses would be  good for them because they can combine it with household activities.

Currently, I have started teaching my wife about cryptocurrencies and she's really understanding. I urge the men to encourage our women to study about cryptocurrencies.

Happy International Women's Day to all our women

Its a good thing that we should learn to uplift women their roles in this society not just a home buddy alone but let them shine too in other endeavors like the crypto market. It is known that women today are even more determined than men to pursue their targets in life and if we give them chance to learn about crypto, that will open more opportunities for them to build other careers and succeed them even just by staying at home. Crypto has given equal opportunities to everyone without gender issues, so women can literally start to learn in crypto and succeed later on. Happy Women's Day to all great women out there.

It's not even solely in the cryptocurrency space; the technology industry in general has always been male dominated, and that's not necessarily a bad thing! Any woman is welcome to enter this space.
You have a point and I think the reason why we don't much woman in the cryptocurrency space is because 75% of woman don't like or embrace technology career maybe it because of their traditional roles (nurturers) while some of them are more concentrated on what they can do with technology instead of joining the field.

Bitcointalk forum is anonymous and most people want to remain anonymous and do not like to disclose even their gender. Keeping this in mind,  we will not get a lot of responses on the stories from women bitcointalk users.

I wish happy women's day to everyone on this forum  Smiley
Many will just keep themselves private nowadays especially if they are not influencers. Though if we search in google and follows some personalities in twitter there are quite many profiles now who are not just supportive in their male friends or partner when it comes in making money or risking for business. Females now doing it by themselves and inspires others too to trade and earn. We’re now in era were everyone is capable to do any job with no gender issues and now thru online it is much convenient for women to make money also via crypto.
Crypto does not limit its users or traders as whether you are male or female. As long as you are able to manage the risk, i guess you're good to stay. And certainly, this is a good avenue for all those who loves challenges  as trading itself brings a lot of risks. And the fact that women and men of today seem to be equal now with regards to their capabilities. So this is a good time to welcome empowered women into the crypto world where opportunities and long term profitability has no limits.

I do find it very strange that the crypto market is so male dominated. I know that it’s very hard to ascertain the percentage of female investors, hodlers, traders etc , but every snippet of information out there suggests that the crypto market is disproportionately weighted towards males.

I don't find it strange at all. Markets have always been dominated by men. Stock markets, forex, name the asset and it's majority men. Too lazy to Google the stats but I've always seen Wall Street (to stereotype markets) as a male space.

And when there is research confirming that there are foundational disparities that contribute to why women don't invest such as wage gap and more conservative approaches -- Fidelity findings summarised in this report.

I'd follow women traders more though, they seem to post consistently better returns than men (perhaps due to more conservative approaches).
Yes I would agree with you there. Since they tend to take less of those high risk trades then men do.
They don't like to gamble too much with those assets as men certainly will go all-in and throw caution to the wind at times.
I've seen alot more women who have crypto analyst channels on youtube that weren't there a year or two ago.
So the uptrend is there.

I am fine with all of these things as long as the statistical difference does not serve to justify a politician coming in and forcing the supposed gap to be bridged by decree.

From bitcointalk we can't have reliable data, but I would say that the vast majority of us are men. On the other hand I am pleasantly surprised that about a quarter of crypto investors in Robinhood are women. I did not expect so much.

Lmao and how to you suppose this would happen? Kinda sounds like you’ve got a problem with gender and race equality overall otherwise you wouldn’t have ever even said something this stupid.

Wishing you all a happy International Women's Day! I have a few female friends on the internet who are also investing in cryptocurrency, and I can say that these women are extremely intelligent and can act quickly, just like men. They are also not afraid of investing and taking risks. Also, I am grateful that my mentor was a woman when I was first starting out, as she has been extremely patient with me while also providing me with advice and, on occasion, financial assistance, which I greatly appreciate. We should celebrate and express our gratitude to them; a simple gift of money in cryptocurrency is extremely beneficial to them.

First and foremost, Happy International Women’s Day to all of the beautiful, amazing and wonderful women here on Bitcointalk and in all walks of life!

Although that crypto and any tech-related industry are dominated by men, it doesn’t mean that women can’t do what men can. I’ve seen a lot of top-notch crypto projects already that are owned by women (e.g., founder, CEO, etc.).

Women are having the same brain as men, so their intelligence and skills really matter in the Bitcoin and crypto space. I’ve met some of the most amazing women in the crypto space both physically and virtually in local and overseas countries.

Especially in attending conferences, I’ve seen a lot of them participating, engaging, networking and even speaking on the stage as founders, CEOs, etc.

Yes we want more women to be engaged in this evolving industry! Much respect to them!

Yeah majority of the trading fields are male dominated and after so many years only a little percentage has been diverted towards women working in it but still it remains male dominated and women tends to enter the other working space.According to the reports the the percentage is around 76% for males and 24% for womens in wall street and basically the desk jobs and here is one comparison from past reports.Although there is no reliable data to prove it and these are estimated results:

Source : Wall Street gender diversity

So the women tends not to be interested in this space or any other reasons could be there but those who are working in it have broad mind and opened to new technology.

The forum has similar rate and bitcoin community is not too much women engaging as you would find only little percentage for women bitcoiners :

But to all the women's present in this forum and whole bitcoin community as investors, traders or workers Happy Women's Day to all of them and hope to see this percentage gap soon covered.

I know that there are several members who declare themselves as women, but I am sure that there are many more who do not want to say so publicly and choose to fit into male society. Accordingly, I think that there should be no theory that the world of cryptocurrency is in any way a male sport, and that men in any way discourage women from being part of that world. After all, Bitcoin does not know gender, race, or nationality, and if a higher percentage of women are not interested in the world of cryptocurrencies, it is solely their choice that we need to respect.

I join in congratulating all women on the occasion of International Women's Day, and especially all the brave women of Ukraine who have stood up in defense of their country, and thousands of women in Russia who ended up in prison protesting the war💐🕊

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
Unfortunately, the role of "women" in places such as Chinese social media is an obstacle for people to continue to be interested in the crypto space. Because it is decentralized, it will be more difficult to identify the real gender of a person and this can be an opportunity for scammers to find weaknesses in the victim.
While I hate to say this, I don't think we should pay much attention to gender in the crypto space because anyone can be "a woman".

With the craze that goes with the NFT games, it's also a welcoming introduction for them. As they go with those games that gives reward in cryptocurrency, they'll also be aware of the existence of bitcoin so that's the connection of it if we're going to think about how the other women became introduced to the market. But these days, is it still important if an area is dominated by male or female? I think this is no longer an issue.

Yes, it's international Women's day today.... So my wishes will be that we will see more women entering the Crypto currency scene. I know most women associate things you can touch and see as being valuable, for example : Diamonds / Gold / Expensive shoes... but there are some exceptions to this misconception ...and we value that.  Wink

In the time when humans lived with dinosaurs, women were the gatherers and men the hunters. I hope the women of our time will go out and collect all the little Satoshi .... and save them for the future!  Wink

There are lots of them and I have some friends who are actively participating in trading and other crypto-related stuff and all of them are women. The other day I saw the other girl post a newly bought car with her earnings from crypto and it's a motivation for the other girls as well. I think they have their own group whom they help each other and got each other hands to be successful together with the help of cryptocurrencies. There are lots of opportunities in the crypto industry and as you can see, their successful stories proved that.

There are two things that are determining women to be less present in this than men. First is that, at least for the time being, blockchain has attracted mostly IT-oriented people and IT is still mostly dominated by men (in numbers), however, things are changing in that regard. The other thing is that investing has historically been dominated by men and this is no different. However, social changes, economic insecurity, and the allure of self-employment through crypto are definitely bringing in more women. It's slowly erasing the stigmas of the past.

Just take a look at this study looking at 50 top crypto companies

“Out of the 121 listed founders, only five were female. This amounts to just 4.13% of all founders, showing that the crypto industry is incredibly male-dominated.”

I wonder what the reason is ?

Yes, it's international Women's day today.... So my wishes will be that we will see more women entering the Crypto currency scene. I know most women associate things you can touch and see as being valuable, for example : Diamonds / Gold / Expensive shoes... but there are some exceptions to this misconception ...and we value that.  Wink

In the time when humans lived with dinosaurs, women were the gatherers and men the hunters. I hope the women of our time will go out and collect all the little Satoshi .... and save them for the future!  Wink

We have been encountering a big difference between the number of men and women in the cryptospace. Simply the blockchain/cryptocurrency market is termed to be male dominated. With time the participation of women have been increasing. As per data from Google search I found the women in blockchain technology to be 12% and I'm not sure to what extent this is true. Same as that 41% of women in crypto are traders and the rest just keep hold for long term.

Some of the facts

About a quarter of Robinhood's crypto investors are Women
Less than 5% of crypto entrepreneurs are women
15% cryptocurrency traders are Women
25 - 44 age group Women constitute more than 80% of the cryptocurrency investment.

I request all the Women Bitcointalk users to share their stories of getting into the cryptospace.
