I don't want to sound too religious but @BADecker is right, everything happening in the world right now shows that man has a need for something they have lost, everyone needs christ more desperately than we need any other thign right now, clearly we are in the end time as the bible stated, look out the world right now, they is no country that isn't going through a phase, news of war here and there, the truth is technology is not the solution to the world's problem anymore and may has to go back to the ways of old, the teaching of great men like Abraham in the bible, everything point that for man to have peace we need GOD and we can only see him through Jesus christ.

I think OP is just referring to the current happenings in different countries.  Every news outlet out there always reports things that will make everyone anxious.  With the current situation that we have, you cannot blame OP for worrying about his/her future.

It is good to have a belief related to the afterlife, it will let you hold on and persevere in trying times.  However, let us not dismiss that the present life is real and we are living in it right now.  We cannot just neglect the life here on earth because there is a life to come.  Even Jesus provided food to the hungry and fed the five thousand with loaves and fishes and wept when Lazarus died (even though He resurrected him after).

Death is inevitable that we know of but the existence of hell and heaven is just a man-made vision to make the people to have ethics and morals in their actions.

You can live the life you wanted if you financially stable and one who understand that decides to live in the way they wanted and the one who think they don't have to do anything other than kneeling and praying to god and hope they will be in better place after their death.

If we talking about year 2008 the elite choosed to continue but now we have bigger problem yes we can continue but at some point the financial system will get to the point where it can't continue and all collapse.

Now the world financial system is full of dirty money the damned devil blood money only way for bankers and elite to clean themselfes of this is big financial crash and to get rid of the dirty money it will be hard but they need to make that becouse they know If they continue it will be like Titanic it Will sink together with them.
The so called off shore and switzerland Banks and france Monaco Dubai London Will start cleaning process thendetox it will be painful and all the luxury real estate and Luxury goods Market wich is mostly pumped up with world most dirty money it Will crash it will fall it's gona be painful but now it's the time when it must happening If they don't it gona end up even more bad.
As we see sanctions by the west it's a step up to clean financial world of dirty money untfortunately our markets are full of dirty money ...it's a negative enegy and specially the real estate markets are up becouse of this money so now all this money will be cleaned out of the system.

Also it's bad times to drug smuglers and dealers becouse the financial bankers knows If they keep this money in the system it Will ruin all the reputation and trust into banks so those who stay in this business specially in Europe and don't get out they start to see shipments dont arrive and the properties where they invested prices start falling a lot problems and things until to the point when mobsters start to kill each other more often becouse many problems.

The bankers elite and rulers knows about law of energy and things like that they know very well that there is limit for everything Even If they did bad things now they get rid of the bad money bad assets those who still in sleep and don't know the elite don't play those games anymore will sink like the Titanic and Even now Putin see that no banks will take his money and hard to sell his oil and everything is so difficult and bankers who use to deal with Him now refuse becouse they can't go forever like this.

Off course we hope our elite rulers knows that for every action there is couse and efects and bad energy creates more bad energy it's like a snowball and it will reach to point that no bail out possible anymore by the Banks.
But If they don't Understood the world will keep feeding the devil more and more until the devil want you to do more things for Him and more pain more suffering.
Maybe the world leaders not all but a lot of them knows If they stop now they end up in prison anyways and lose all their wealth so life is too short anyways maybe they just continue until they can until we reach to the point when they all start nuclear war becouse all this compounded bad enegy will be powerful as nuclear enetgy one day.
Maybe the leaders knows there is no way out anymore and things Went too far and in few years and they all gona blow up everything and it's a end of the suffering for them and all the humanity becouse If they stop now a lot world leaders and well known people will lose their wealth and status and many might face the justice so If that's the case they might just enjoy the life fullest until to the end
