As all of the altcoins get huge dumps in price only due to bitcoin fluctuations, would it benefit if there were no bitcoin?

jes they would, its actually looked forward by many corporations

many companies accept bitcoin only because they get many US dollars, not because they like the idea of bitcoin

bitcoin is more like a temprorary ramcoin to weaken the influence of the national banking cartels:

The whole cryptocurrency economy is being built on top of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the most secured and most tested cryptocurrency.

If a heavy security breach were going to happen which would eliminate all the trust into bitcoins protocol, the whole ecosystem would die.
Everyone would sell/dump all alts to further dump BTC. This would result in a black crypto friday.

Thats also probably the only way bitcoin would effectively 'die'.

The whole success of all crypto projects rely on bitcoin to be successful. So, short answer: No. The whole crypto community would suffer bad if bitcoin were about to 'die'.

Bitcoin will never be extincted as only 2 running full nodes are necessaries to keep it alive.

But let's suppose a major bug is discovered somewhere on the code and billions are stolen and the price go near zero.

All your beloved shitcoins would be anihalated in the process.
Crypo community would be reduced to few bitcoin believers, as shitcoin supporters are just looking for a lambo.
