Once again, it handles fine. I can mine on the R9 280x and play a demanding game on the 670 and no problems.

So the seasonic wont be able to handle 2 GPUs mining at the same time or one mining and the other gaming?

Yes, it cannot handle.

Been working fine.  The PSU provides more than enough  juice.

Two GTX GPUs on a 650 is pushing it, even before adding in all other components (CPU, RAM, HDD, case fans, cd/dvd drive, etc). You always want to leave a bit of room in your PSU anyway...if you use 600W, it's better to get a 700-750W PSU than a 650W.

I've used this Power Supply Calculator every once in a while, though unfortunately they haven't updated their lists to include 280/290s yet. It still provides an idea of what you'll need overall though.

Maybe, but you will be pushing it. Seasonic X are very good, so there is hope.

Make sure you seriously undervolt your 280x, also your CPU on the BIOS and use power save settings on the GTX670. See drakoin's thread on undervolting and power saving.

If you have a watt meter, see how much you pull from the wall while mining and gaming. Up to 650W and occasionally a bit more is fine.

It could handle 2 GPU's but it depends on which ones.
1 GPU is no problem whatsoever.

Get yourself at least 850 Watt to use more than 2 GPUs. If you want to use 6 GPUs, you will need 1600 Watt.

let's make a deal.
i don't game, but the 650w will be able to support a single card to mine.

also, i thought soundblaster went extinct around the same time as optical media.  interesting.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if my SeaSonic X Series X650 Gold 650W 80 PLUS GOLD could accommodate the existing specs below and a Sapphire Toxic R9 280x that I am receiving tomorrow?

P8P67 DELUXE (LGA1155)
i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz
MSI GTX 670
WDC WD20EARS-00MVWB0 HD
INTEL SSDSC2MH120A2 (SSD) HD
Fujitsu DRT01ACA300 HD (3 TB)
Sound Blaster Z
4 x Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 4GB memory PC3-10700H (667 MHz)
SeaSonic X Series X650 Gold 650W 80 PLUS GOLD

Preferably, I would like to be able to game on the GTX 670 at the same time SHA/Scrypt mine on the R9 280x. Do you think my PSU would be able to support this?

Thanks in advance.
