Nah, you don't want to pay for some half assed endorsement, you want people to find it and appreciate it for what it is.

Right now the next name of the game is adoption.  I don't thing vendors nor big business is willing to move forward onto bitcoin until more influencial people get involved and start pushing/promoting it.  When you have big players like Apple banning any bitcoin related apps to their appstore, its like there are barriers to entry when it comes to making the elevator effect of bitcoin happen.  I'm happen enough that john MacAfee decided to open his mouth about "bitcions cannot be stopped"  but at the same time I don't like that he touts that it is the black market monetary instrument of choice.  We all know that's BS....CASH is still king in the black market.

Anyhow, I've decided to reach out to as many different famous folks as I can to get them knowing about bitcoin.

YOU can even make a difference yourself now.  Start writing "Accept Bitcoin"  on all your merchant slips when paying by debit/credit card in the tip area.  Still give a tip, but write in big letters "Acccept Bitcion".  This way, at least 2-4 people will get the message by the time the bank shreds them...you will have shared it with people and more adoption conceivably happens.  Heck, if they think its funny then share it along with their coworkers, bonus!, because now several people have been exposed to bitcoin for the first time.  I just want us to get away from it being in the know for us bitcoiners only.  I want it to be as widespread as visa/mastercard/American express.
