Wait for some years and you will be able to buy a much bigger plot at an upscale locality in your hometown. I would never recommend anyone to sell their Bitcoin anytime in the future and the same goes for me too.
I don't  agree bro because there are some situation in real estate where we are getting a very good opportunity. Because buying a plot is not just about investment but also getting a plot in home time have other advantages as well may be later he will not get plot nearby. Actually i would have taken this p and bought that plot.

I will keep this short and simple.

So I have got this really good opportunity to buy a plot in my hometown. The value for it is bound to increase in near future as per the locality and developments around it.
To buy it I would have to sell my BTC (not all but most of it). The question here is, would you sell your BTC given you were in such a situation ?

If not, why? (something other than speculation)

Yes! I would go ahead with this proposition. The matter of fact is that I have indeed sold a good amount of bitcoins from my holding back in 2017 to pay the token money for my first apartment. Banks have 80:20 rule for home loans where banks will pay 80% of the agreement value and 20% will be paid by the borrower. So I actually paid off that 20% after selling my bitcoin holdings.

For your situation, I will definitely go ahead with the property because we don't know what Indian legal system will bring us in near future. They may or may not ban bitcoin. But there's still a confusion. So I will prefer to have a property using my bitcoins.

I did sold most of my bitcoin holdings to buy the property. Fun fact, I had sold it few months ago when the price was at $60k.
So I am in profits anyway. This is my first property on my name and I am really happy as this would be so memorable.
I am just imagining telling my kids that I had bought my first property with my bitcoin holdings  Cool

No regrets to sell my bitcoins as I am accumulating it little by little every month.

It has prefer that if would be better if it give me a lot of profit and if have to wait for it for some time then it would be tangible and after that i wanna sell it . The main thing is that it could be better in the upcoming years which will give us much benefit. So, we have to wait for it but everyone has his own opinion.

It is always good to divessift your investment instaed of putting all your money in one thing. As you said you will not have to sell all your btc to buy that plot, go for it.
You will still left with some btc which are good enough of you hold them.
You can always fall back on your real estate assets if crypto market goes in bear and you know need of cash.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have made up my mind to sell some of my savings in BTC and proceed with the investment in real estate.
This would be my first investment in real estate and this would definitely be the best memory since I would be using my bitcoins to buy this property.
This does not mean I will quit BTC but will work harder now onwards to accumulate the amount of bitcoins I will be selling now.

Depending on the situation and scenario i would have taken the decision. According to me one should invest in real estate one time atleast apart from there home. But technically if we consider average rate of return in past decade of real estate in india, it was 11.6% per year and that of bitcoin it was whoping 230% but the risk is higher and volatility is higher and it is less secure than real estate.

One more point that i would like to suggest is in real estate apart from rate of return we can also consider it for passive income such as
1) Rent
2) Secured loan
Both the things help to a great extent for future.
So on conclusion i would say if i was in your position and if it was my first investment in real estate than i would have opt for investing in real estate over BTC.(only one time for secure income)

Well this is a broad question. It depends upon many factor.
Like location of the property, it's future prospect and most important your personal requirement. Like of you don't owe a house right now, it will save rent and as well as it's value appreciate in future.
Moreover BTC is ATH now so you might shift your investment to other appreciating asset which can give you better return and get you regular income as rent.
On the other hand BTC has shown outstanding results in past years than any other asset around the world. So HODL can be best policy

I would advice you to go for it if you think that investing in a real estate property will aide you better. I invested in real estate a few years ago and i am also planning to construct a good home for me and the profit in bitcoin will be a bonus for me as the cost of building a home is high and i do not want to be in debt after construction Grin.
Well, I am not sure if we can say that the investment would yield better results. If we compare it with bitcoin, bitcoin can easily double up within a year.
But for the real estate property to double up, it would at least take 3-5 years. But yeah the feeling of having a tangible asset with low risk and good returns is definitely there.
If anyone is looking for a good return then i wont suggest any other investment platform than cryptocurrency but if you are planning to invest in real estate because you need your own home which you are dreaming for a long time and i will not wait for the market to reach so and so valuation to fulfill my dreams. That does not mean that i am going to sell everything i hold and i do have some long term investments and a commercial property investment is my next target Grin.
