I'm sure they can, but a lot of ICO's happen because the tech/platform is still being built. Crowdfunding is a good way to get capital and also supporters to build alongside what they want. It would be interested to see how other companies carry on in 2018

Some altcoins did not really appear as a result of the ICO. For example, ethereum and litecoin separated earlier from bitcoin. Now this is one of the most prosperous and promising coins. But whether any altcoin can appear without conducting an ICO and without secession from bitcoins, I do not know. Apparently, there are no other variants of their appearance yet.

I recently hear about an altcoin that haven't had an ICO.

Can a project be launched without this type of crowdfunding?
