Usually holiday make bitcoin dump because many investor sell their assets to enjoy holding with their friend or their family, exactly during Christmas and new year bitcoin price always dump but this time bitcoin keep strong. maybe right now many investor have much assets and just sell little bitcoin assets and keep holding to get much profit although Christmas and new year moment could not free after have pandemic crisis where many people do not go any where and have stay at home always.
Market rises are often associated with the holiday season, I don’t know whether there is a relationship between the market’s rise and the holiday season or is this just a coincidence, however this year it was a special Christmas especially for Bitcoin, Bitcoin began to fly and reached the highest ATH in its history, now I see that Altcoin has also started to move and I think it may catch up with Bitcoin.
Yes, this is the best Christmas for all the users who have kept hold of their bitcoins expecting long term profit. The growth that got initiated few months back have been getting continued even after the New Year. The price of bitcoin went for small correction around the price of $23000, once again the growth resumed reaching new ATH again and again. Probably this month will make a big change in the marketcap along with the price.
We would really be seeing changes overtime but to know that we do only have 2 paths to go neither we would really be going back to those low price or would definitely break new ATH and resistances.We cant deny that this is a best Christmas ever the same that we had experience back in 2017 because not only bitcoin had risen up but also in altcoin market as well.
Lets see if it would able to sustain this price for this new year and would able to see new numbers again in last quarter of this 2021.Yes, it might be still early but we would really be heading there.

Last than four years Christmas always bring negative side for bitcoin because almost when close with Christmas bitcoin always dump but except on this year because bitcoin have good price and break more higher price before when 2017 on $20,000. We have seen so many different situations right now that I don't know what could be possible at this point for what's about to happen. I think it is quite difficult to predict bitcoin at this point, we are not making a ton of profit but we are not losing neither for the past few days, but we have increased so much that asking for more increase seems a bit too much. I can't say bitcoin will be 50k, I can't say it won't be neither, but all I can say is, I would understand it if it can't reach there.

Quite happy but don't expect too much with this huge spike in Bitcoin's price as it might be the same thing as the 2017-2018 thingy where Bitcoin is going up and up in 2017 and when 2018 comes this is the year of hell for those who bought Bitcoin at the top. Best crypto Christmas maybe for some but not for me

It is a literally new market and you cannot have a huge data to analyze but still if you look at the past market situation normally the market would have a slight correction during December and holiday season but this time around there are institutional investments coming in whenever we expect a correction and that has taken the market to new levels than we expected. The previous price history of Bitcoin during the Christmas season was indeed low compare to this year’s trend and its really good that there’s a chance for us to end the year on a good up trend. The market celebrates the up trend and many still don’t want to sell their holdings since they believe for a more good one, they’ll buy more for sure and continue the trend.
I always fear that during this Christmas period there will be a minor dump in the price of bitcoin due to massive exchanging of btc to fiat for buying stuffs such as gifts and other essential services however this year turned to be exceptional rather for a dump in price btc continue to break all barriers and soar higher, when I scanned through all the previous Christmas periods in 2017, 2018 and 2019 it was obvious that there is always a minor pullback probably due to withdrawal by some few hodlers I hope 2021 will be a year that bitcoin will continue to form another ATH.

I would say do not change your mind this quickly over things, bitcoin has always been great, and will continue to be great and just because there are tiny bit of corrections and just because XRP went down a lot, do not consider crypto to be in a bear run right away, bear run starts very late compared to other times, which is why we should always be considering it doing well until proven otherwise.

I agree on this one and the other on the thing that happened in 2017 where holidays did really give out some serious profits in most people whom do engage on that time.
Where most alts is mooning and people do get huge profits or money into bounties and gains with their portfolion.It might be similar when it comes to Bitcoin price movement for this year
but we can see that it isnt happening on most alts.Yes, they do still have some increase but not as much as we have seen into those old years.

I don't see why involvement in futures would make them more harmful. Cash settled futures can't lead spot markets because there is no arbitrage mechanism, no way to generate parallel supply on spot exchanges. As for Bakkt, there is no leverage involved.
I agree that leverage trading can't lead spot markets but it holds its own importance and I've also seen sometimes that leverage has had a huge difference in price from the spot markets (many times) and it also dragged the spot markets towards the direction it was heading. Futures traders have their own ideology while spot traders trade with a different perspective and it's true that it's the spot that leads futures, but sometimes we may notice some huge gaps between market prices and the prices ongoing in futures.

If you follow the bitcoin market, you will see that the market is not boring because the market can go up and down many times, and sometimes, the price drops too far and make us panic. As what happens to XRP yesterday, the price is down fast and reach $0.2. That is happening to bitcoin which is dropped for $300-$400 (if I am not mistaken). But bitcoin price will increase again, and I hope that the price can start the rally and break $25k this month. It is a surprise to us after we see bitcoin price down for a while, which gives us a hope to see bitcoin price will break the other high price. not all crypto market but mainly the btc market only and also not only on this year but there are years earlier than 2018 where btc or other market of cryptos are also healthy . the price isnt big as before but people are happy and thankful that year because cryptos reached their ath but the real fun wont occur if you havent got yourself a crypto .

TBH, their sells could be much more harmful than retailers because they also have positions in futures and guess what, it doesn't take too much pain for them to just push/pull the markets whenever they wish to, just to liquidate retailers and fetch away their money.

There have always been shakeouts where retail traders get liquidated and where retail investors panic sell. Always will be. That's the nature of markets.

I believe that enough volume has now been gathered by them over many different exchanges because whenever I see a move at Binance, the same moment it starts to dance on other exchanges as well.
i was expecting the market to dip even more because of the holidays and people may like to sell some of their bags to celebrate the festive period but it seems the reverse is the case here, see btc is pumping high as i make my post, over 24k at the moment and by January 2021 who knows what price we will be looking at.

As we experienced green days this Christmas referring to the graphical presented, its been confirmed positive compared last year. We've totally surpassed the hard times, and now we're starting over for new chapter of bitcoin which is commencing. Next year would be a good future for all of us, and hopefully we'll also see other altcoins to climb up higher reaching top most price same with btc as a good chance for other uprising projects.

Its very unexpected that it will just spike that high and then drop again. If you have managed to sell at the peak of the price then congrats, take it as a gift from the ones who bought at such high price. Its christmas anyway, but one could say its a very manipulated market. After just a day, the price can leap so high.

Best Christmas for btc holders no doubt, I can't help but be happy to see btc doing well this December even though I would really really have loved to see alts performing with btc, am so waiting to see alt season will come finally, but we must give credit to the number crypto in the world "King btc" for this great performance.
I do not know if this is the best Christmas if comes to crypto prices (bitcoin specificall) but it is known to be a bullrun time which led to increase in bitcoin price. Although the price of bitcoin has been increasing right from yesterday from $23230 that bitcoin market closed but later increased to $24700 as its highest price today, now at $24100 which is still a good price. What I am now expecting is the price to increase in the coming year which has been what people are expecting.

This year the rally is based on institutional long-term investment, not retail trading/gambling.

I am increasingly convinced that bitcoin movement is currently fantastic and continues to increase in a good trend, and to reach 25k is very close and most likely will happen in the near future and continue to increase.
And it looks like the current bitcoin movement has started to increase altcoins, it's a great holiday and I will sell a small portion of it for my vacation needs, and the rest I will hold mostly to wait for higher bitcoin prices.

Yeah, I think everyone is in the jolly mood this Christmas because it been a continues pump since last week, a super rally that we didn't expect (at least in my case). So let's just celebrate this holiday and share our blessings to other who are in need. And we have to thank bitcoin for that, eventhough in the beginning it was really a tough year specially with the Covid-19 in March, at least we are going to end the year with a new all time high. Merry Christmas to everyone, whichever part of the world you are.
New ATH on Christmas, I just saw that too. Not a coincidence it's happening as our North American brethren wake up I guess. Maybe all those presents opened from under the trees were filled with cash and stimulus cheques, dumped right into Paypal or Cash App or Circle or whatever it is people from there use to buy BTC;)
