Yes the price has gone up that much in dollars but not at the same rate on bitcoin, If you bought at October 5 2016 the price in dollars was 0.034785 and the price exactly one year later at October 5 2017 is 1.22 a 3400% increase that looks great, but we must not forget that you most likely bought with btc and not dollars and the number look very different when you do that math, in terms of bitcoin if you bought at Oct 25 2016 the price was 0.00005704 and after a full year in October 05 2017 the price is 0.00027991 which is a 390% increase, do not get me wrong that is a good profit in a year but it is not as good as some people may think.

All the info comes from coinmarketcap.com except the calculations that I did myself

Neo is pre-mined. But Verge is ok. But does Verge has got a huge community like Vertcoin? No!
Compare the reddit-communities. Vertcoins community got 9000 members! 9K!!!

By the way: actually Vertcoin has risen even + 6000 % within the last ten months.

Vertcoin is not a pump- or scam coin. Its solid and for long term. And Im sure it will make another 100x within the next 5-7 years (I don't care what will happen in just one year).

Why do I think VTC will rise very much?

VTC has a great community and the concept of easy mining is focused to get a great community.

Vertcoin is established, has a strong brand like a rock in a storm, has tradition and history.
If you study Vertcoin and its ecosystem you'll find a lot of great details you won't find concentrated like this in other projects (How many coins have electrum wallet? how many are available for ledger hardware wallet - VTC will be added this year maybe this month, how many coins have a support where the devs answer your questions within hours? (reddit/ slack) how many coins have segwit and can handle atomic swaps? ... and much more). Vertcoin is special!

There is one more factor, Market Cap. If today's Market Cap makes x6-7(like 1.000B) it will not take more than 2 years i guess.
