How can you win a lawsuit if you don't expose yourself? I mean, it doesn't matter if Craig won it or not; how can you accuse a person no one knows? Besides that, how can you prove to someone that you, indeed, wrote a whitepaper back in 2009 if you don't own the domain that firstly included it and neither a signed message from the public key that it was marked in bitcoin.org?

I really hope this ruling won't be used as a precedent in any other cases of CWS, would be really bad if the law decided to see him as Satoshi. Imagine if CWS could now automatically takedown Bitcoin-related sites because of this stupid case. But you can't blame Cobra for this, everyone has a right to privacy, including to stay anonymous on the Internet.

I don't believe anymore that courts are judges are really independent and they can be easily bribed by anyone including Faketoshi, but this is low even for them.
Cobra should probably move hosting for his website in some South American country that is out of the reach of UK and continue business as normal, but Faketoshi will now be inspired to continue with his stupid attacks.

Default judgements are common when someone doesn't respond to a lawsuit. In this case it was stupid, but not unexpected when he wouldn't respond to it. It really has no value though except limited to that particular person and case.
No doubt CW will misrepresent what it means.
And he will use this winning to spread more lies. So yeah, wondering how can they ask payment from Cøbra if they don't know his identity? Or CW camp is not really interested about the payment but to declare that he wins in this lawsuit without any concrete evidence that he is indeed the original author. This is really sad as we have an impostor who is continuously giving lies to the crypto community.

However I like the how Cøbra is dealing with this, he is proposing to send the payment to one of the known addresses of Satoshi, if Wright is who he says he is then he should not have any problem getting access to those coins, but as fun as that may seem it is likely they will try to force him to pay to an address Wright currently controls.
