Topic: Write "Bitcoin" on every banknote (using a pencil) (Read 2310 times)
I was thinking of this with the date and the converted value in BTC. The idea being that going forward as the value of BTC more than likely goes up, and people should cotton on and buy!

I know I totally trust anything that's advertised by vandalizing my environment with stickers.
Quite a few arthouse movies are advertised in this way with stencils etc and it works pretty well. It has more of an influence on me than what I see on TV anyway

I just don't like it when everywhere you look is plastered with stickers, some partly ripped off, some soaked by rain, some glued smack dab in the middle of pertinant information like the bus schedule.
With the ad stencils they at least ask owners for permission and remove them afterwards. That's quite alright.

But, since I do like "Guerilla-style" tactics, I would suggest something else: RL Stickers and banners.
1- Design banners with a catchy title and subtitle. Include a written address to weusecoins.com and a QR code.
2- Print print print!
3- Pin / hang / glue /stick them at your workplace, university, community center or wherever you want.
It takes little effort and has a great effect if you choose the right wording.

I don't think so.I stand corrected. I just looked it up and it is only the national central banks that will take the note out of circulation in the EU.

That's cute and all, but the note will be taken out of circulation as soon as it reaches the first bank. So the lifespan of the note after you spend it is about a day.

Technically, that is "defacing money" and in many countries it's illegal - but what the hell I think it's a really cool idea
