If the transaction went through then it means the bitcoins address was collect and I will ask why will you unknowingly sent a bitcoin to a wrong address which is correct. If the transaction didn't get through then it means, the address is really wrong.

Sorry but there is no chance to get back bitcoin from that user. But if you know the receiver then you may ask him/her to refund it.

hello dear, if you have to say a little bit more about this, then you would have got an easy answer, if you want to take your btc at an exchanger in case you want to send them btc send address instead of their btc adrress to any other coin / token address of their exchanger. then you talk to the exchanger's support then you will get btc back! And if you send your btc to any coinbase email address and that email address is wrong and anybody do not have to open coinbase account with that wrong email address, then you will get your btc back within 30 days! But if you have sent someone else to btc address, then your btc back can not be fetched! Angry

No

All bitcoin transactions, once you got the sent reply and got confirmed on the blockchain explorer, i don't think it can be reversed nor traced again.

in that you can't ever say this particular address is own by so so person.
So if a transaction was made to a wrong address, i think that's the end and a bye bye to the coin.

Unless if you mistakenly did a  transfer to your friend address if by mistake you did copy and paste from your clipboard and you noticed your friend or somebody you must have know owns the address

The probability of a refund is negligible. Forget about this money and next time be more careful

It's better to copy the address or use QR codes

There is no chance to retrive your coins when it is sent to a wrong address. If the owner of the wallet turns out to be an honest person and will return it to you.

I don't think there is much hope as Bitcoin works in such way that payment once sent cannot be reversed back if the transaction is complete. But if you could find the owner of the address to whom you have sent your money which is very hard to find then you may request him to send back the amount you sent accidentally but chances for such thing are very less to happen. One should take proper care and always double check before making Bitcoin payments.

Is there any chance of me getting back my Btc from an address which I was not supposed to send or even a chance of getting in contact with the receiver ?

well the transaction can't be reverse because you don't know whom you are sending to, all less you know the wallet you are sending the btc or the receivers knows the sender address then it can be reverse but since the two parties don't know way about it. then it seems you should forget about that transaction.

it seems to get it back bitcoin we sent to the wrong address I think is very small even though our bitcoin address sends the active address unless we know the person who has the bitcoin address may we can request it back.

I always send a small cow before the transaction and check if it will take place. This life has taught me. I recommend this method for the future. Do you get your BTC? Unlikely.

Unfortunately you made a mistake that is very detrimental to your own, I think you will not get back BTC you send to the address you do not want.
The way out is you have to find the bitcoin user address and talk well to get your BTC back (but it is very unlikely your BTC is returned).
To find out the user's address is already very not easy. then, you must apply the conversation and seduce.
I suggest you forget it, then Move on.

As already said, it is almost impossible to get your BTC back except if the receiver is an honest person. It is really important for every transactions and withdraw to double/triple check the sending to be sur to send to the right place.

That is the very careless thing you ever made in this crypto currency activities , if you have sent to wrong address , I do not think if the recepient is very honest enough , to return the btc that you sent even if you have contacted him and gave the message, you are lucky enough if the address you sent will sent  back the mistaken sent transactions.

Its so sad to hear that, you must always double check your bitcoin address before you posted it in the thread. However, I do not think if you can get it back because its already send in unknown receiver. But for sure you can change your btc address registered in the spreadsheet try to contact the project manager and let them know your problem. They are only person who could help you, because lately I experience a problem in my account and ask the project manager  to help me and they really assist me. Thanks to them.

say goodbye to the coins you have sent, and it is not possible to contact the recipient.
unless the receiver sends back the bitcoin you have sent to your wallet. but the possibility is very small.
my advice just forget it.

you can send another transaction with signed message to that user. He might not see it or that account might not be even used by anyone, that's the risk of crypto....

I understand what you mean, did you send the wrong bitcoin to the wrong address?
the answer is, you lose your bitcoin forever, unless the recipient sends your bitcoin back to your wallet.

It's hard to recover it again. But how do you send your BTC to Wrong Address? Each address is Unique and the error of a letter or number is automatically rejected by the payment processor. It is therefore impossible that it be passed. You also have malware on your computer that automatically appears BTC add a hacker when you can send.

I don't think if you can retrieve that because you cannot contact tha specific address in person so maybe it will become impossible to get back your wrong sent bitcoins. I advise that you need to be very careful next time you send bitcoin to address.

I think that you lost your money forever because the number of existing bitcoins of addresses is much more than the number of molecules in the universe. There is no option to return your funds if you made a mistake while writing the address. The only possible option is if you sent bitcoins to the address of the person you personally know, then you can contact him and ask him to return them to you.

I think it is impossible because there isn't any way to stop/ cancel the transaction once it is confirmed. You should search that address on google, may be you can find him if you are lucky or send a small amount with a message to that address.

Well, I don't think that you will ever receive or get back again your lost Bitcoin that you have accidentally send to a wrong address. We all know and aware that the Bitcoin is a decentralize crypto currency that no one have the control over it, so no one can ever be ask or no monitors when something like this happen.

It's probably not, if you send your Bitcoin to someone address your btc cannot getting back again.
You can track the address by the transaction,  but it's too difficult if its getting back to you  again.

can not, the only way is you ask back the btc you sent to the wrong address to be asked again. Next time, you should be more careful when entering the address.
If you send the wrong address your bitcoin it can't be back sure cause you don't know what kind of person is this if he kind or not. Next time if you do it you should be more careful and make sure all the details are correct before you entering the address.

Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, you can't undo, you can't recover once you have sent it you can never get it back.

The only thing that you can hope for if that receiver noticed that there's an additional balance to his wallet and if he's too generous enough, he'll send it back to you.

I think that the funds you send will not be refunded to another wallet because it is difficult to recover because it's sent to another wallet but if you know the owner of the account that you sent it wrong you can request it to recover it.

There is no such thing as "claiming an address" or "address existing".
All address are on the ledger, with MOST being 0 balance.
When you generate a new address (Where it be by hand, online, using a program, etc), you are simply picking an address from the ENORMOUS list.

Why don't you give us more details here before we can help you. Firstly, how did you manage to send to the wrong address as this is very difficult to do? Did you have some sort of malware that changed the address automatically, or did you send to an old exchange wallet or something? Can you post the TXID? Sometimes the owners of wallets/address can be traced through a bit of detective work, but not always.

Hard to follow, where did the address you sent to come from?

It's not really possible to typo a wrong address, and neither will anyone else have/generate the same address. If the address was supplied to you by an exchange, you should be able to contact them and have it returned to your account.

Your bitcoins is gone. There is no chance to retrive your coins when it is sent to a wrong address. Bitcoins transactions and almost every altocoins is irreversible and the moment it is sent ,it cant' come back again.

If it's not confirmed yet, you can use "replace by fee" (RBF),
Or double spend with higher fee

https://coincentral.com/cancel-unconfirmed-bitcoin-transaction/

If it has been confirmed then you are probably never see your bitcoin again

The fact is that if you sent your money to the address where there are active movements then you have a chance to get your money back. If the owner of the wallet turns out to be an honest person and will return it to you. But if you sent bitcoins to the address to which no one has a private key - then that means that you lost them forever.

I think you can make another (little) transaction at the same address with a message attached and hope that he will read it. It's not a lot but I don't have any other idea
