probably they just took their money to bitcoin and wait another pump on bitcoin or they are waiting to see %60 dominance of BTC over altcoins
In fact, there is nothing wrong with crypto and altcoins. Altcoins temporarily fall in price, as all people buy bitcoin in anticipation of large-scale events. But then everyone will return to the altcoins again.

That's what everyone is thinking, bitcoin went up then also altcoins were at the same level then bitcoin went down then also altcoins were at same level, although some were in red but majority was still at the same level. So it's quiet astonishing as previously alts were used to be dependant on bitcoin but now they seem to be independant. 
I don’t think anything big has happened to altcoins. Need to understand on thing. When we talk about crypto, we need to understand that the crypto currencies do fluctuate and this is the nature of the crypto currencies. Just look at the number of coins have come up with bitcoins existence and its massive growth. Though many ICOs failed, many stood up with their best projects in the market. This is the growth of altcoins .
Basically the same thing that goes on when the market is bearish or BTC is having a tantrum. Alts always suffer during times like these, so it's pretty risky to invest in alts. But I still do, and I'm sure a lot of you do too.
Bitcoins are being pushed up to increase, and large amounts of money from altcoin is taken for inclusion in Bitcoin so lower altcoin is understandable. But I suspect that this is the way whales lead the market and deliberately make the altcoin fall off to buy on good coin cheap. I bought quite a lot of good coins during the downturn. It's not time for the alt coins just yet. They lag behind Bitcoin at first when the new up cycle begins. With such a huge down period this make take a bit of time as everyone gets back into the water. Alts will explode higher once bitcoin reaches it new intermediate high and stabilizes.

nothing is weird in market now. but BTC has a big hype now. but ETH now falls back to 460. I bought BTC at 6600 recently. waiting for wave. maybe you should go back and check the charts again. there was nothing different then compared to other times. ETF hype grew so bitcoin price went up that meant altcoins got dumped.
then ETF was rejected so the hype went away and bitcoin dropped, and that meant altcoins got dumped hard.
what is new about this? nothing. it is the same thing that always happens. "money" doesn't go from bitcoin to altcoins or vice versa. it is bitcoin that goes into altcoins so that it can be increased when they get pumped. and then it is bitcoin that is being pulled out of altcoin market when people want to participate in the rises and falls of bitcoin which means altcoin get dumped. but when bitcoin is pulled out of altcoin market or goes back in the price of bitcoin versus USD doesn't change because you are not pulling USD out or in. you are pulling BTC out and in.

maybe its normal, thats how the market goes. or maybe people who holdl atlcoin sold it to buy bitcoin because they knew that bitcoin is starting to rise from $6k to 7$. But we should not be worry about this altcoins for sure it will recover from its price when bitcoin gets pumped again.as we know some altcoins follow only in bitcoins price when it gets pump the altcoin also got pump. if you hold some altcoin maybe you should hold it to avoid losses.

I agree with the opinion that money from alts is pumped to bitcoin. And the only thing I want, is that bitcoin is now falling back to 6.000, so that people would finally understand that the market of crypto-currencies - does not consist from only bitcoin. And it's silly to talk about decentralization, a free market, and lack of dependence, when the price of just one coin is able to crush down the entire market.
What I certainly didn't want, so that the price of bitcoin fell to $ 6000, this will further affect the price of altcoins. Their price will fall even lower.And here we speak is not about decentralization or centralization. Yes, bitcoin affects the entire crypto world. But he deserved this right. After the price of altcoin increased in the last few days and today the price of altcoin has dropped, I think this is a normal thing. After the price increase, it will reduce the price. altcoin cannot increase forever
Not only altcoin both are down in the market but it is a common price fluctuation or some issues are created in the market is undetermine. Many peoples are expecting some positive vibe is comes in market so it will move forward in future and hopefully wait for the future hype because I am always believe the Bitcoin.
Nothing abnormal is going on with alts. 5% wil stay others will sink and who cares how they do it - slowly and sadly or joyfully and quickly. In fact mostly those useless alts do not need to disapper, they need to merge then they can survive.

Seems like it is,because if we will check the dominatiom bitcoins doinin market,you'll find the 45.3% dominance over all altcoins,this is to high even when the great pump happened last December 2017 ,so maybe its the ETF whos the investors betting to bitcoin
But i believe efter this event altcoins will recover and the market will be balanced again not like now looks to bias to bitcoins
Hm let me think, I suppose the altcoin behavior starts to resemble the old one, before the December-January rally this winter. It was when Bitcoin rises alts go down, when BTC falls - alts do the same way and probably when Bitcoin flats it makes Alts rise. We'll see.

I do not know what's going on with altcoin. I am also surprised to think that the market is recovering. But this is just the altcoin treatment has not shown signs of full recovery in this time. Nothing great to move the market at this time. The pessimistic trend of the bear market is what is driving the altcoins extremely down.It will recover with time though.

I think because people fomo on BTC at the moment and waiting for the big news to come out (BTC Dominance: 45.6%). Wait until BTC stabilize around these areas of about $8k and a good chunk of this money will go back to alts

Mostly if bitcoin drops, most of all altcoins are dropping too so it's not new to me. I have a feeling that bitcoin somehow is being hyped again so that it's increasing its price but sooner or later it will go drop hard again and making the other investors lose their investment if they bought during the hype.

my guess people saw alts make some money back and rushed to sell, or see another bitcoin run coming where holding bitcoin would be more valuable than holding alts during a rise.

Alts are saving bitcoin for its bull run so if it starts to tank, they will receive all the tanking and decrease in value and percentage. Bitcoin has been correcting from the range of $7,300 - $7,400 but never went down to $7,200 so that's why alts are the ones that are tanking.
They are going down because people are moving out from altcoins to bitcoin, this is a normal practice when there is a sudden pump, they just want to stick to it

People wait ETF and BTC bull run. And it can be seen in the BTC dominance. It grow. It mean that traders sell alts for btc. I think it's partially FOMO but those mass psychology
I think people start sell their altcoin to bitcoin. They begin to run out of patience, and look for something safer, like bitcoin.
Alts probably will pump, once Bitcoin is stable. Many are currently moving to Bitcoin and are selling their alts as the total marketcap has not pumped that much.
Gonna need to be patient and see how things work out. But if Bitcoin drops, this gonna be bloody for the alts, unless money flows back in.

Folks are liquidating Alts and entering BTC in anticipation of the bull-run they've all been waiting for since February. Lots of pelt up anticipation and FOMO. Add SEC's pending ETF approval that most feel certain will sail through and you've got a boiling pot

I don't think people bet on bitcoin, as altcoins are very low compared to bitcoin when they rise investors act early to sell alts.
Nothing's ever happened. These are the normal market movements. BTC does not rise, altcoins do not rise.
