Yeah it doesn't matter. I'm using a piece of shit Lenovo that has windows VISTA on it - old as dog shit. Got 6 GPU's working on it no issues. Fancy mobo's don't matter. This thing doesn't even have "enable 4g" "gen 1/2/3" etc and it works just.
Guys! Need some advise. Can i use this mobo https://www.asus.com/…/Motherboar…/P8Z77V_LX/specifications for mining? I'm planning to setup 4x GTX 1050TI with this mobo.
1 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (blue) *2
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black)
2 x PCIe 2.0 x1
3 x PCI
However i understand that there is no option to change the PCIE speed to 2.0 in bios (Does this matter? will it causing crash or something?) , i have done searching in google well not much results since i believe this is an old mobo.

PCIe 3.0 and 2.0 bandwidth is insignificant in mining operations.
