You might be better off using Coinbase. They have a 10 btc limit daily, but is probably the easiest option for what you're looking for. You're not going to get any deals on exchange rates being such a new member, and no one is going to send you bitcoins first so you can add escrow fees onto whatever Mt.Gox + whatever % people will offer you here.

I am looking to buy between 3-5 BTC (or less, just not more than 5). Figured this is the time to really start using BTC (maybe even buy my airline back to NH with it). Can pay with OkPay, PayPal (not preferred, as I heard it's not safe, but can consider), or if you can give me a tutorial on how to use escrow, I will consider it.
Requiring the seller of bitcoin to go first (sorry!) or if you can find a trusted middleman (again, tutorial please!
